“These are by far the best tacos and quesadillas!!! I met Marissa during the Alzheimer's event and stopped by recently on the weekend to the food truck. Service is always superb and fast! It was late at night and she walked the order to the car so I didn't have to take the kids back out. She blew me away with impeccable service and genuine kindness. I will be back and spreading the word Love! God Bless You Through & Through and Declaring more food trucks across the nation ????????????????“
“I've located this restaurant on a last minute drive. Honestly, I would have not noticed, If I was not observing the area around. It literally looks like a house with beautiful bright colors which I find very attractive. The inside of the restaurant is quite small with a very home like feeling. No noticeable bugs or signs of uncleanliness. The food was well prepared, as desired. This chips are fresh and pipping hot. Before I've realized, my father and I demolished two containers of chips. I didn't really care for the hot salsa (in a bowl) they provided me. It was quite sweet, and tasted more of like BBQ sauce. However, the salsa that were on the table (light red, and green-inside of a tube bottle) was delicious. The waitress were warm, friendly, attentive and kind. Overall, I will return and I am so happy I've spotted this restaurant.“
“Awesome little out of the way eatery. Located behind Food 4 Less grocery store. Plenty of parking. Small take out diner. A few small tables if you wish to eat in but really a take out establishment. Nothing fancy. Authentic and clean. Reasonably priced. This family run business has great food. We had tacos. Chicken was nicely cut not shredded which was very good. They even gave us a sample taco since we had not been there before. Try this authentic and tasty take out establishment. You will be pleasantly surprised. This is now our go to place for authentic Mexican food. Fabulous $2 taco Tuesday. Very welcoming owner/staff.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian taco, taco dinner, torta & rajas con crema.“
“All I can say is this place is AMAZING !!! I had the steak torta .. it was sooo delicious and flavorful and the bun was to die for ! Must try the Nachos they are HUGE ! EVERYTHING IS MADE FRESH DAILY AND IT SHOWS . TRY THIS PLACE WHILE YOU CAN BECAUSE THIS PLACE IS ABOUT TO HAVE PEOPLE LINED UP DOWN THE STREET !✌“
“Azul was recommended to us by a friend. We had the steak tacos and had to try their Cochinta Pibil tacos. Their steak tacos had great flavor, with a nice selection of salsas. Their Cochinta Pibil tacos are a must try! Their Cochinta recipe is over 100 yrs old and has been handed down to the owner. It definitely shows in its unique and distinctive flavor topped with a traditional pickled red onion with a touch of habanero. So good!!! They have a small menu, but it's about quality and not quantity. The drinks were great, and the service and hospitality from the owners was very good. You can tell they take pride in their dishes. We'll definitely be back again for their authentic Cochinta tacos, and look forward to trying their other menu items.“
“Many different restaurants have occupied this building over the years, this is one that should be here for a long time, First and most important is the food is very good. Nice menu of Mexican food plus hamburgers and hot dogs are also on the menu. Beverages are mostly bottles and canned drinks, coffee and juice drinks are also available. Very small dinning room 16 seats 2 tables and some counter seats. Small but adequate parking. Street parking is allowed on 13th street on side opposite the building. There is no drive through window My visit was on a Friday evening. They were busy service was a little slower but not bad wait. Little out of the way of major streets but worth it“
“This place is located inside gamechangers. My family came here for dinner and it did not disappoint. We had the taternador with pulled pork on top. The mac daddy mac and cheese also with pulled pork on top. We also had some amazingly delicious ribs. The ribs were so good. They had a little pull to them and were very meaty. My family and I can not wait to go back and try more stuff.“
“This restaurant was possible one of the best Mexican we have experienced. We travel a lot being from NW Indiana and bowling around the country pretty much. After many disappointments I can say that this was NOT a disappointment. We really enjoyed the service that we had received. Everyone was friendly with navigating the menu and everything in between. For being a mom and pop place is was exceeding expectations“
“Long time since I have been to Neena's; so sorry to hear of Lupe's passing. I can tell you that the food was as great as it was 10 years ago and would recommend this place for real authentic southern Mexico tacos they are truly the best on the south side of Chicago.Parking: I haven't been there in at least 10 years, since that time they have redone their parking lot and made it way more accommodating for patrons to park. There is still street parking also that does not have meters.“
“I really like their gumbo. So I chose to go back today to try something different. I initially had an issue because my food was kinda wrong. But I called and the owner was extremely nice and understanding. I took the food back up there and there was no problem with them remaking it. While I waited for my for I tried a raspberry margarita (recommended by owner) and it was so good. I got a smash burger and an ultimate chicken salad. 10/10 I definitely recommend. They’re located by the fountain in downtown Joliet. The place is being updated right now. I’m sure once all the renovations is done this will be a vibe and hotspot for locals. This is definitely the best food I’ve had since I moved out to Joliet.“
“This place is an incredible find! My brother and I stopped in since it was highly rated and close to his truck stop. The staff was so kind and friendly; the food was perfect in every way. Everything is perfectly seasoned and authentic. If you're in the area you have to check them out!“
“We are not from the area but stopped here for breakfast. The food here is delicious! My husband had the birria consomé with the quesadillas. I had the steak breakfast. Good portions, generous on the seasoning. They have so many options on food and drinks. Who would’ve thought horchata mixed with coffee! What a great combo! It was definitely a pleasant experience. Service was on point, friendly and very attentive. My husband grabbed the names of every staff that worked that day. I’m sure he will have his own review. Shout out to all the workers on 3/10. Definitely a place to stop for authentic Mexican food. 10/10 will recommend!“
“I noticed this 'OOO WEE' in OTHER locations.. didn't know there was one in the mall in joliet; anyway... I noticed the first time I went to THIS location, this lady was runnin it & runnin it well all by her lonesome! The food she prepared was scrumptious!About a month or so later my significant other & I went there, he struck up a little conversation talking about the food & I asked her what her name was, Ms Desiree [NOT SURE IF I SPELLED CORRECTLY]Ms. Desiree, you are awesome ! I hope they give you a raise because you are a diamond in the rough ! Awesome service, delicous food, can't wait to get more steak tacos from there !“
“This past Saturday we had family over and so we decided to order a 10lb catering tray of carnitas. Price was good at about $78 bucks for the 10lbs. Carnitas were amazing! We got mostly meat and I'm glad we didn't get a bunch of cartilage and bones like other carnitas spots do. We are on day 4 of carnitas dinners now due to lots of leftovers it's tortas ahogadas for tonight! Highly recommend their carnitas!“
“Gas station tacos? YESSS!!!This place was better than most stand alone taco joints and I will be back!I did an al pastor, and a lengua taco. The flavors were perfect, authentic, and while the tacos looked small they doubled up the tortilla and stuffed them with meat so they were super filling. Elote was delicious, but the sauce to corn ratio was a little heavy for me, so I added some corn I had at home to it.100% try this place out- you will not regret it!“
“Tortas for the win! I've been here a twice since traveling to this area for work and it's been great both times. All the staff is very friendly. I've never had a Torta before as the Mexican restaurants in Ohio don't have them! The Chorizo Torta is great and highly recommend trying it out. I'm sure all the great here, so definitely give it a shot. I'm going to try the Huevos con Chorizo so hopefully it's just as good!“
“I ordered the 3 taco dinner with corn tortillas and lengua, with sides of beans and rice, and a 32 oz horchata. Delicious!!Round two: I ordered the burrito dinner with lengua and sides of beans and rice. I ordered another 32 oz horchata. ??“
“Wonderful restaurant & food! The place was inside of a casino so we had our doubts, but we were already off to a great start when our waitress, Laurie, took our order. She was stellar. We had the shrimp cocktail (great shrimp, weird cocktail sauce) and the scallops (a little cold on the inside but the flavor was great). The cocktails were great as well! Had the Lychee cocktail & a Spicy Marg. Moved onto entrees and the lobster ravioli won by FAR. Must order. The filet was also good! But the lobster stole the show. As for the dessert, the crème brûlée shocked us with how great it was. Was not expecting it! Loved this place and had a great espresso martini to end the night.“
“The perfect vibe my wife and I love, every plate we had was very good and authentic, close to my abuelita’s cooking. Every waitress was attentively checking on us even though we had a waitress from the beginning. We will definitely be back I would give more then 5 stars if “
