The burger was juicy and flavorful without being overly greasy, and the chicken sandwich had a nice crispy texture with solid seasoning. The street tacos were probably my favorite — fresh, packed with flavor, and paired really well with the elote, which had the perfect balance of creamy, cheesy, and smoky.

Drink-wise, the margarita flight was a fun option if you like trying different flavors, and the sangria was refreshing and not overly sweet. The atmosphere was upbeat and modern, making it a great spot to hang out, watch a game, or grab dinner with friends.

Even with the busy traffic they were already handling, Hizemans had no trouble accommodating our group of 50. Their bar service was the fastest I've ever seen, and impressively, it was all thanks to just one person behind the bar — huge shoutout to bartender Max, you were amazing! A special thank you to GM Tony, who was incredibly kind to our entire group, communicated thoroughly with me at the event, and made sure we were well taken care of from start to finish. And the food? “Coco’s catered our 70th birthday party event last weekend. I would rate the service and food 5 stars! Very helpful and quick to respond in the planning stage. Every guest was promptly served. Upon ordering at the truck, they were given a ticket. So nice not to stand around waiting. Guests could return to the party or tending to their kids. After a few minutes their order was ready for a return pickup. The food was authentically superb! And such a novel experience rather than same old Portillo’s! “I ended up trying this food truck since I always see it when I leave the Fox Valley Mall. It was a 10-minute wait. Food was fresh, made to order. My son and I ordered the steak burrito dinner that came with refried beans and rice. I ordered one alpastor and two steak tacos with onion and cilantro. To drink, we had horchata, which i think it was overpriced for the size of the cup, but at least it was homemade, not powder from a bag. The sauces were flavorful, with some kick to them. Q Pub & Grill was a great experience all around. The food was very good, and the service matched it—attentive, friendly, and on point the whole time.

One thing that really stood out was how clean and well-kept the pool tables are—they honestly look almost brand new, which made playing that much better.

I went with a group of 7, and everyone had a great time. It’s a perfect spot for hanging out, grabbing food, and getting some games in.

From the outside, it has that old-school billiard hall look, but don’t let that fool you—it’s a solid place inside. Definitely worth checking out.“
