“The restaurant is tucked inside a produce store, and let me tell you—this was the best Barbacoa I’ve ever had. The rice and beans were on point, which is impressive considering how many Mexican restaurants miss the mark on that. The grocery store itself was just as impressive. I wouldn’t recommend coming here hungry and trying to shop—it’s dangerous! From fresh baked goods to a small Mediterranean food stand serving some of the best Shawarma, this place has it all. Honestly, it was more impressive than any Caputo’s or Jimenez I’ve ever stepped foot in.“

“I hired B'n Chingon for a party recently and they provided superior service and absolutely delicious food. The set up, cooking, serving and clean up were seamless. I didn't have to lift a finger and could just enjoy the party and my guests. The food was expertly prepared and at a very reasonable cost. I received multiple compliments.“

“Best tacos in Naperville area. The limited menu allows them to focus on what they do well - a great variety of tacos. I tried 3 of the taco options: steak, chicken tinga and grilled Mahi-Mahi. All outstanding. If you want the meal option (2 sides and a drink), you can opt for pinto beans instead of the usual refried beans; rice; a fountain drink; and the 3 tacos, for under $20. It is a good value because the quality is good.“

BUT since we were last there, you changed your menu and removed the chicken strips and fries. So, atmosphere was great, service was great, food was very good, blood orange margarita was tasty, but we’ll be back when my picky 10 year old turns 18 because I can afford - occasionally - $13 for her chicken strips but not another $60 for a sitter and I’m not willing to fight with her about her awful dietary choices during a rare night out. Please bring back the chicken strips. Otherwise, we’ll miss you.“

They also serve you chips and salsa when you dine in. They also give you real silverware (the restaurant/bar across the street known for its wings uses plastic silverware)“

“Came for the fried ice cream, stayed for the tacos! My family used to live near a restaurant with outstanding fried ice cream. Haven't had it since we moved. This place makes a nice version.
What I loved: real silverware (versus plastic which harms our health & the earth); great customer service (you order at the counter, food is delivered to your table); prices are reasonable; chips & salsa were brought to my table with my meal (nice touch!).
Room for improvement: a plastic spoon was offered to me for the ice cream. I declined, and instead, used my fork. Plastic is everywhere, and we need to find alternatives. But honestly, this is not a reason to detract from a 5-star rating. I'll be back“

“Despite living in an area with some of the best Mexican food, it can still be surprisingly difficult to find Mexican food that delivers the authentic flavors I remember from before going vegan. Totopos absolutely delivers! Their vegan options are clearly not an afterthought, with several offerings to choose from. I tried the grilled veggie tacos (my favorite), veggie burrito, soy chorizo sopes, and a pineapple tamale, and everything was delicious. Be sure to order the burrito and sopes without sour cream and cheese—they also offer vegan cheese for an additional cost. I especially appreciate that they offer both soy-based options and vegetables that are actually flavorful—not the sad zucchini and squash I’ve had at other restaurants. The grilled vegetables in particular were so good. I placed my order for delivery and I also appreciate that they placed plenty of salsa in the bag for me. Excited to order again and try more of their vegan options!“

“Food was good, place was clean. It was strange to see Covid social distancing signs still posted in 2026 but that’s harmless.

My only issue is the price, inflation sucks and I know that’s a big part of it, but $11.31 for 2 steak tacos and absolutely nothing else is rough.

Most comparable places are $7-$9. Los Burritos Tapatio is less than $8 for the same thing AND you get free chips and salsa.

They did skip over the “tip” screen when I was paying, which I appreciate for helping keep the cost down…. but I’d rather the food cost less and give the workers a $1 or $2 tip so at least I know it was going to them.

I see they have some deals on certain days, maybe I’ll try again then, otherwise a little too pricey for me.“
