Entres. Wife had the lobster roll and I had the seafood risotto. Lobster roll had great flavor, but lacked lobster. Lots of roll and little lobster. The seafood risotto consisted of two scallops, 3 large shrimp, and a lobster tail. Scallops were top notch, shrimp was a little bland, and lobster tail was way over cooked. It was actually difficult to cut.

Sticky toffee pudding for dessert.

Overall, mixed reviews on the food. We will be back for apps and drinks.”

I had a vegan Hawaiian omelet with vegan chorizo and Just Egg, a mung bean based egg substitute that is nearly indistinguishable from the real thing. My dish came with two sides: a choice of fruit or hash browns and french toast or pancakes. I opted for hash browns and pancakes which were both great. My husband got a Just Egg scramble with vegan sausage and french toast. Lucky Penny hit it out of the park on everything: food, service, even coffee refills. Another thing -- their portion sizes are generous and nobody leaves hungry. I had to actually take home half of my omelet and I ate PLENTY. We also got steak tacos. Tacos are tacos and there’s not that much you can do with them differently. Having said that, also tasted pretty good and the presentation of the food was also done well.

We were greeted right away by a friendly wait staff who helped us with some recommendations along with taking our order. everything we ordered was great I had the black garlic pork on the first page of the menu, one of the children had plain ramen with chicken broth and the other had a chicken ramen bowl. We all tried each others and we all agreed our own bowl was the best but they all were good. You can either make your own, à la carte and choose your ingredients or you can choose from pre-made with pictures which we did because it was our first time. we didn't have room for appetizers, but we will definitely be back to try them because they all look amazing. Everything was delicious and we had a fun time with lots of leftovers which they package up very cute and neat, they put the ramen noodles in a bowl and your broth separate so your noodles don't suck it all up by the time you eat it again.. saved it as a new favorite spot!! The kids were ecstatic and had an amazing time which is very hard to do with most restaurants. fun food for kids and great eats for adults. 10 out of 10 from the kids!”

“Salt; that's what Namak translates to, is a new addition to the country in the suburbs of Chicago that serves some Indian street food and a few entrees.

We came across this simply by accident. We were hungry but didn't want a full meal and came across Namak online so decided to give it a shot.

We had the dabeli and vada pav; both were EXCELLENT.

The dabeli had the flavors you would have in India. Of course you can never get the 'exact' flavor outside of India for obvious reasons but these folks have done a TERRIFIC job of making it pretty darn close.

Both items were made fresh while I waited, wrapped wonderfully so as to make it easy to eat without making a mess.

The dabeli had the wonderful mixture of sweet and spicy (could be more spicy for my taste though) and the bread was not the sweet American bread one would expect. It was darn close to the 'pav' you get in India.

The vada pav was EPIC. You could taste the flavors, the spices, the freshness of it. If I could have something else, I'd want to try out their side of the vada (they sell just the vadas too).

I had a brief conversation with the staff here; they opened I think 6 or 8 months ago. They don't have a location in the city (PLEASE COME. I'LL BRING SO MANY CUSTOMERS AND MYSELF TOO SEVERAL TIMES A WEEK) sadly so will need to wait to try some of their other stuff till we make the next trip there.

“We were in town for a basketball tournament, with a group of 22, and their staff accommodated our entire group! From the hostess, to our waitress, to whom I believe was the manager (tall gentleman), they were fantastic! The food, was delicious!!! Serving sizes were generous and their drinks were great as well. If we are ever back in town, we will return!”

“It was our first time trying Pakistani foods and it was amazing. Just enough spice on your pallet and good portions of food. Extremely friendly staff as well. 5 out of 5 stars. If you’re looking for something new to try, this is the place to go. We will definitely be coming back to try more items in the menu. We had the samosa , delicious! The beef seekh kabob, delicious and the beef seekh roll, delicious!!! Oh and the mango lassi, so good!”

“I wish I could give more stars. This place is absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere inside, the music but mostly the people working there are amazing. I went in for a quick lunch take out and walked out with more food than I had paid for. The ladies working there are great, and I thank you for the delicious recommendation. Will be visiting again soon for more Uzbek cuisine. It was my first time trying it and I loved it!

“Third time in a week. New staff. The food is delicious and hot! The restaurant is very clean. New staff bit 2 of the three times my food was out in under 10 minutes. Get the Epic sauce on your burger. Small fry is enough for two people.”
