“We've been going here for about 16 years now. We worried that the pandemic would shut their doors but they survived! Andy is our chef! He makes the going their worth while. His positive attitude, his cooking style. He enjoys hosting his customers. The other staff as well do a fantastic job. I wish we were closer but always worth the drive.Kid-friendliness: They have kid chopsticks and the chefs always put on a good show for the kids!“
“This place is absolutely perfect. I had another favorite sushi place in Naperville but then I tried this one and holy cow it’s amazing. I went here twice in one week! Sat at the bar the second time and was able to see them making sushi behind the counter - the coolest guys and the best experience. They don’t take reservations for two so plan ahead if you want to eat here as a couple. Oh and 100% recommend the ice plum wine! Can’t wait to get back here <3“
“A hibachi experience was requested to celebrate a 24th birthday, and Shinto was recommended. It's been quite some time since I've been, admittedly, but I was happy to come back. There were 10 guests in our party, and we were promptly seated at the time of our reservation. Our host was pleasant and engaging as was our chef. We were offered a complimentary edamame since the kitchen staff made an extra. We couldn't let that go to waste! The food was delicious! D E L I C I O U SI sipped on a pomegranate Cosmo; more mixer than spirit, but it was tasty. Our host surprised the birthday person with a treat, and invited everyone to join in singing “Happy Birthday.”“
“The ramen and bento boxes are authentic and delicious. We had the shrimp tempura bento box, chicken katsu and the tankatsu ramen. All were fantastic and filling! We will be back to try out the other menu items! The seating area is general for court seating but a fun atmosphere to see what else other people have ordered at the other locations. The H-Mart grocery store is also attached to the food court for easy shopping and eating!“
“Excellent sushi spot tucked away in a small strip mall on Rte 59. Everything was delicious and fresh. The miso was excellent as was the green tea. The maki were inventive and balanced. Shockingly, the food is very reasonably priced too! Highly recommended.“
“We were actually headed somewhere else for dinner, but I happened to spot Yamada as we were driving nearby. I suggested we pull into the plaza to take a peek. It didn't look busy at all on a Friday night, so we popped in.Yamada is tucked away in a big strip mall, so there's plenty of parking. Inside the restaurant is quaint. They kept the design simple. Not a ton of seating, though. The service was very friendly. There was just one lady taking/serving orders, and we only saw one sushi chef. Thankfully it wasn't too busy, so our food came in very reasonable timing. We ordered onion soup, sashimi appetizer, Crazy Tuna roll, Coconut Island roll, and Bumble Bee roll. The onion soup was decent. It was served in a cute bowl, although with a plastic spoon, which took away from the aesthetics. I liked that it was a nice small bowl of soup and only cost something like $2.25, so it didn't fill us up too much before the main food arrived. The sashimi sampler included six pieces of fish: two salmon, two tuna, and two pieces of some white fish. Everything tasted great. All three rolls were very good. I was really excited about Coconut Island since I love coconut, and it was good, but the Bumble Bee roll exceed our expectations. The Crazy Tuna was unique because it was topped with seared seasoning, providing a nice smoky flavor.Pricing was very reasonable. Turned out to be a great place for date night.“
“owners are super nice, very welcoming! my husband & i split the tonkotsu miso ramen along with a california roll & dragon roll. we also ordered the tempura combo as an appetizer. everything was absolutely delicious and fresh. the owners are gracious & made menu recommendations, and let us sample a delicious sauce they made. we are so excited to return! highly recommend“
“BSSG is one of our all-time favorite restaurants! My sister and I always have a wonderful, filling and delicious (!) experience there. (It is even more fun when friends join us!) EVERYONE who works there is accommodating, cheerful, professional and helpful... Our favorites include the Beef Hot Rock, Cali Roll, Chicken Crunchy Salad and Dipping Crab. We look forward to trying more scrumptious dishes. We HIGHLY recommend Blue Sushi Sake Grill in Naperville !“
“Beautiful dining room with a unique raised floor with glass covering the sand.Sushi was ok. Lots of items but all very similar. Expensive! The entry does not have a vestibule and we were blasted with cold air each time the door opened.Server Noe was friendly and efficient“
“Our favorite sushi spot! The owners and staff are absolutely amazing. Best customer service. Very welcoming, personable, kind, attentive and they make us feel like family. Excellent food - the tuna and crab rice bowls are exceptional! My whole family loves the food and atmosphere. The cocktails are outstanding a hidden gem! Really great cocktail menu. Go to Wild Tuna, you won’t be disappointed! Highly recommend.“
“Fun little experience downtown Naperville. Tried the waygu special for two. First time ever trying a restaurant like this. Food was very good. Definitely left extremely full. You will spend a good amount of money here but I think if you run the all-you-can-eat it might be able to get a little more value. Definitely a unique experience cooking your own food at the table“
“It's a tiny little place but don't let it deter you. The food is good and the service is great. I had the bibi Ramen which doesn't have broth and i really liked it. It's similar to a Korean version of the dish and included kimchi. It is a bit spicy but not a problem if you can tolerate medium level spiciness. And the noodles was pretty good, chewy and firmThe place was full as there aren't that many tables, so you should expect that you may need to wait if you go during lunch time. But definitely try it out if you are in the area.“
