“My husband and I recently discovered this gem!!! We don't live in Glen Ellyn and we started coming in July and have already been back 8 times! The fish is the freshest, the rolls/sashimi beyond delicious, the service and all the staff are always so nice and thoughtful. we can't wait to reserve their private seating floor room soon too. “We visited with a large party for a friend’s birthday, so there was a bit of a wait before we were able to get our food order in, but overall the experience was positive. I don’t usually like sushi, so I ordered the yaki udon, which was good, and it came with a miso soup that I really enjoyed; though I do wish the udon portion had been a bit larger.

My partner ordered the Mango Tango roll and chicken tempura sushi and really liked both. The sushi was good overall, and the presentation was pretty, even if it was served on fairly basic plates. We also tried the chicken karaage, which had good flavor but could have been a little juicier.

To top it off, since we were celebrating a birthday, the staff brought out a free dessert for the table, which was a really nice touch. Overall, it’s a solid local all-you-can-eat sushi spot and a good option, especially for group dining.“

“Wow, great place to go and eat. Fast and furious. The sushi was off the charts good. They were super busy when I went, but the service was good. The sushi was served fast and I was not even at the sushi bar! Parking was easy, lots of spots to park in.“

“This was a pretty decent spot for ramen considering there are not a whole lot in the Lisle area. There is shared parking. They have a decent amount of seating, I don’t think they get super busy. They also have a special Chinese menu so I guess this is a good Chinese and Japanese place. I’ll have to return to try their Chinese dishes. We ordered gyoza, kaarage shoyu ramen, and tonkotsu ramen. The broths were well seasoned. The kaarage chicken was very juicy in the middle and crispy on the outside. The chashu was very tender and little chew. Gyozas were tasty. They had a nice crunch to them. Service was okay, not much of a service. Prices were good.“

“We were met by two of the nicest people today. Ichiro and Mrs. Lee. They were warm and friendly, and Ichiro made a recommendation which we obliged. He said if you don’t like it, no problem I will make you whatever you like. He made a recommendation for Ramen and sushi and everything was top quality, amazing flavor, and our new favorite! “Each table seats 4. We dined in. They have take out as well. We were greeted right away by a friendly wait staff who helped us with some recommendations along with taking our order. everything we ordered was great I had the black garlic pork on the first page of the menu, one of the children had plain ramen with chicken broth and the other had a chicken ramen bowl. We all tried each others and we all agreed our own bowl was the best but they all were good. You can either make your own, à la carte and choose your ingredients or you can choose from pre-made with pictures which we did because it was our first time. we didn't have room for appetizers, but we will definitely be back to try them because they all look amazing. Everything was delicious and we had a fun time with lots of leftovers which they package up very cute and neat, they put the ramen noodles in a bowl and your broth separate so your noodles don't suck it all up by the time you eat it again.. saved it as a new favorite spot!! The kids were ecstatic and had an amazing time which is very hard to do with most restaurants. fun food for kids and great eats for adults. 10 out of 10 from the kids!“

“I have eaten at Tanaka Sushi once or twice a month since 2021, and they consistently serve the best Japanese and Korean food in the Naperville/Lisle area. I am a sushi snob, and their sushi is always fresh and well-prepared. Their cooked dishes are always served piping hot and delicious, well-plated, and the portion sizes are great for the price. The employees clearly have a tight-knit work environment, and they are all always polite. I cannot recommend this restaurant more. You will never regret a Tanaka Sushi lunch.“

“We stumbled upon this gem leaving the doctors office in the area. We seen the menu online and were very much intrigued. We decided to come check it out. The restaurant was a great ambiance, clean, the staff was friendly and welcoming. Now lets get to the good part the food... We had the combination rice Thai style, crab rangoons, egg rolls, and also the General Tso Chicken , followed by some of the signature rolls. OMG DELICIOUS. The taste of everything was so good, fresh, hot and so good. We loved everything brought to the table. We found a new spot to visit for sure. Highly recommend the food.“

“This is absolutely a one of a kind experience! My mother and I did the “Decadent Omakase” as it was our first visit. Lee, our waiter was amazing. All of the staff that helped us were so informative and kind! The flavor in each selection was beyond this world. It was pricey but worth every single penny.
