“After a week of travel for this Mom, the last thing I wanted to do was to make dinner. This isn't the first time we've been to Glen Prairie and I knew it was just the place I wanted to go. The atmosphere is warm, but quiet. Perfect for a good family catchup. The food is comforting without being too heavy and the wine, beer and cocktail selection is the perfect pairing. We've had the pleasure of being served by Anna a few times now and she does a great job. She is attentive and watchful, without being overbearing which is a difficult skill to master for a lot of servers. Aside from that, I love that it is a safe place for folks with food allergies and I feel very well taken care of in respect to that issue. I can tell that everyone from the hosts to the servers to the bartenders to the kitchen staff are very well trained in creating a safe and welcoming experience for each guest. Glen Prairie is quickly becoming one of our go to family favorite restaurants and we will definitely be back!”

“Food and service fantastic. They were running behind with reservations but they comped us drinks an an appetizer...which is pretty unheard of these days. Rachel, our server, was phenomenal, I liked her so much I even asked her to help me "customize" my pasta dish, which she happily did (and it turned out great! The lobster diavolo but with vodka sauce...keeping the spice level.) Caesar salad good but not traditional...and missing anchovies (I know, I'm weird. Very fresh ingredients though.) We were a party of 6 and everyone loved their food. Reasonable prices too. Will definitely be back! Only wish it weren't so cramped inside.”

“I hosted my daughter-in-law‘s bridal shower at Ko-ze Wine room in Glen Ellyn. The venue was perfect, and the service was outstanding!
It was the perfect size for our group of 27, and it could’ve accommodated even a larger group. I catered the food from Blackberry Market in Glen Ellyn, all of our favorites!”

“Over all, their bubble tea was super good. But on the other hand, the bubble waffles were just regular waffles that tasted like croissants and had toppings. That is the only thing I didn’t like. I hope they change their croissant waffles get turned into real Gai Daan Zai someday. I am editing this now it looks like someone else posted a picture of real Gai Daan Zai so I guess there must be a shortage of Gai Daan Zai mix? You also should really try the honeydew bubble tea it’s SO good. I think we actually just got a mix-up in the order because I am seeing a picture of the croissant waffle labeled as Bischoff or something so I change my mind this is 5 stars”

“Recently celebrated a 70th birthday with the D'Alexander family. What a great event. The staff could not have been nicer, and attentive. You only thought you might need something at the table and it would appear out of no where. The food was all home made and you could tell made from traditional old recipes and a lot of love thrown in. You feel like you are in a small cafe in Italy. If you want a great Italian dining experience please take the time to enjoy Made In Italy, because my wife and I plan to go back.”

I was there on Sunday, September 6th around 11pm and it was very busy, but the gentleman taking order was very polite, attentive and just an awesome guy and so was the rest of the crew. Even though it was busy, orders were being done and handed out so very efficiently and timely

“I cannot say enough great things about Shannon's Irish Pub! From start to finish, the experience was absolutely incredible. I hosted a surprise 40th birthday party for my wife there, and the entire staff went above and beyond to make it truly unforgettable. A huge thank you to the owner, Jen, who was more than accommodating every step of the way. She made the planning process seamless, was incredibly responsive, and genuinely cared about making sure everything was perfect. Her attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile made all the difference. The atmosphere was exactly what you’d hope for in a great Irish pub—warm, welcoming, and full of character. The food was fantastic, the drinks were served quickly, and everything ran smoothly all night long. Our guests had an amazing time, and I honestly can’t think of a better place to host an event. “I have been coming here for years and would have recommended it until tonight. I walked in and was told that they are too busy to take my order!! WTF!?!? Isn't that a good problem to have? Suck it up, that is part of the business!! I have never in all my life been turned away from a restaurant for such a stupid reason. They didn't even know what I was going to order, which was only a gyro and only taken a couple minutes to make. Not very professional, nor a good way to treat a customer....”

“My husband and I recently discovered this gem!!! We don't live in Glen Ellyn and we started coming in July and have already been back 8 times! The fish is the freshest, the rolls/sashimi beyond delicious, the service and all the staff are always so nice and thoughtful. we can't wait to reserve their private seating floor room soon too. “We had an event at Nobel House on a Sunday afternoon. The staff was great and the food was out of this world. We had about 40 people and many told me how much they liked the food , atmosphere and service. Thanks to everyone there for making it great.”

“The Wheat Cafe is located right next to the Waterleaf restaurant at College of DuPage. The cafe features delicious Bakery items, soups and salads, pizza, chips. All prepared on site by the students at College of DuPage.

“The bakery itself served and they have a rotating selection of pastries. The store is kind of small, so large parties are not recommended. They also have a very good selection of cakes and other food items. They also have coffee and can make things like latte's cappuccinos, expressos ect”

“I love this place. The atmosphere is relaxed, yet classy. The music selection paired well with the ambience. The booths are super comfortable with lighting that’s not harsh but is still bright enough to see what’s on your table. The service was amazing; our server was friendly, genuine, and accommodating. The thin crust pizza is delicious. The Salvador specialty pizza is unique and one of my faves. All of these details and more come together to make this an exceptional restaurant to dine in.”

“1st visit to MK Steak and we were very impressed. We were seated right away and started with wine and cocktails ( spicy Bees Knees was awesome!). Our server, Chelsea, was knowledgeable, friendly and tentative. Atmosphere was lively but not loud. Both our entrees were cooked to perfection. My husband, who knows his steaks, was pleasantly surprised to hear the steaks are from Meats by Linz. His steak was amazing- great flavor. I had the scallops, which were also very good. The baked French Onion soup was hot and cheese was nicely browned. We were too full for dessert but saw a few being served. So wish I had saved room! We will be back!”

“Visited this cafe with my friend on a quiet weekday evening and we both ended up liking it more than expected. The lighting was warm, music stayed soft, and nobody was rushing customers even as it got busier later. I ordered cheesecake with hot chocolate while my friend tried pasta and coffee. The cheesecake texture was soft and fresh instead of dry. Our drinks took slightly longer because they were handling several takeaway orders, but staff apologized and kept things moving calmly throughout the evening rush.”

“I do not have any complaints about the food, but I have been bothered by a situation which occurred while we were here. I brought 2 of my young granddaughters here last week. We arrived around 11:15 and planned to stay and eat our açaí bowls for lunch. While we were deciding what to order, there were 12-15 high school girls who came in and took every seat to eat their lunches which they brought from home. I believe 1 girl ordered something, but the rest sat and ate their lunches which they did not order from this establishment. We left after getting our food and walked home to eat since there were no seats for us to sit. I can’t believe people are allowed to bring their own food into this place to eat and take up every seat. I was visiting Glen Ellyn, so I don’t know if this is a common practice of restaurants to allow people to bring in their own food? But, I have never experienced this in other towns, and would be embarrassed if one of my family members would do this! And, I would imagine these girl’s parents don’t take their own food into the restaurants in Glen Ellyn! I did not see any sign on the door which said “paying patrons only”, so assume it is okay with management?”

“Great restaurant, quick and high quality food! Prices are very reasonable given the quality.
Complimentary fresh tortilla chips came with our order, which were lovely. I got a veggie burrito, and every bite was perfectly warming to the mouth, stomach, and soul.
Atmosphere is quite busy. Diner vibes.
I give it a 10/10. Definitely recommend!”

“Wonderful experience and the food was AMAZING!!! The tacos were not only beautifully decorated, they also tasted incredibly tasty! The staff was very kind and the environment very clean and elegant :) 10000% recommend! Tacos are a little pricey but it’s worth it! The tasty tacos are so good!”

“I’m usually an at-home coffee person, but without my coffee maker right now, I’ve been picking up Starbucks. It honestly bummed me out at first because I love the way I make it at home & I never really know what to order at a coffee shop to make it taste the same. The girl taking my order in the drive-thru at this location was so helpful, and then once I got to the window, Will was just such a warm & lovely person. You could tell he cared that my coffee was made well and really hoped I would like it — which, by the way, I really did!!

He obviously couldn’t have known, but I’m going through a lot personally in the last 48 hours with family stuff and my dog, and Will’s energy with me through the drive-thru really warmed my heart this morning. They accidentally made an extra blueberry muffin, and when he handed me my last drink he gave me a second one, I told him I had already gotten mine. He just smiled and told me to take it anyway. It was such a simple gesture, but it meant more than he knows.

I drove away with tears in my eyes, in the best way, feeling so warm from the kindness he showed. I really needed that today. Thank you, Will and the beautiful people who were working at this location this morning!”

“Nice starbucks in downtown Glen Ellen. It was little load in the morning hour especially when the high school kids all came in during their break. Parking is free on the street but it can be busy. There is seating outdoor but the train noise and heat or cold in the winter can be too much. Barista was really nice and friendly, wish other had such good people friendly personality.”

“We've been ordering pizza here for the last 8 years. I can honestly say, their quality in ingredients have not gone down. The pizza is always superb and well cooked. We always order the sausage pizza.
