“Over all, their bubble tea was super good. But on the other hand, the bubble waffles were just regular waffles that tasted like croissants and had toppings. That is the only thing I didn’t like. I hope they change their croissant waffles get turned into real Gai Daan Zai someday. I am editing this now it looks like someone else posted a picture of real Gai Daan Zai so I guess there must be a shortage of Gai Daan Zai mix? You also should really try the honeydew bubble tea it’s SO good. I think we actually just got a mix-up in the order because I am seeing a picture of the croissant waffle labeled as Bischoff or something so I change my mind this is 5 stars“

“Their boba is always chewy and fresh and the owners are so nice! I wish I lived closer to go more often but I would rather drive here than go somewhere closer. I think it’s a family business and they are the nicest boba place I’ve ever been. It’s great how you can choose the sweetness and I think 25% sweetness matcha smoothie is perfect for me. They sell other desserts and their coconut pudding is delicious. Check them out!“

“I’ve been here a few times now, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite boba spots. They have various of milk tea, fruit tea, and smoothie options. My go-to drinks are the Taro Milk Tea and Ube Milk Tea with lychee jelly.

Their smoothies are amazing too! The Mango and Strawberry Smoothies are both super refreshing.

I also love that they offer poke bowls, mochi waffles, puddings, and snowflake crisp desserts.

“Let me start by saying it’s so cute inside. It’s giving like modern boho esthetic. This would be my second time here. Came here right before my nail appointment next door with my mom. I asked for the coconut smoothie, my mom asked for the taro/ coconut smoothie mixed, and we both added tapioca!!! It was so delicious. Normally I get the lemonade or tea with the popping boba. Those are fire 🔥🔥 as well. All in all, no matter what you get you can’t go wrong with whatever you choose.
Come and try them out you won’t be disappointed!! Especially ladies if you are going next door at Lilac Spa& Nails 💅🏾 a refreshing boba will definitely set the mood!!“

“Came here for the 1st time tonight after driving past it a hundred times. Loved it! It is so close by. They have a new lineup of fruit milk teas so I tried the mango. It was delicious! It tastes like real mango and real tea with the milk and yummy tapioca....it wasn't a flavor syrup which is what I was expecting. The flavors all came together wonderfully. This place has a fun vibe....even has games you can play while sipping your reasonably priced tea. I'll be back ....sounds like there is always something new here on the drink lineup. Next time I will order a large instead of a medium...this tea is so good....I regret ordering my conservative medium cup.“

“Went in with my friend. There’s lots of micro trend goodies you can buy if you’re into mystery eggs and labubus. You use a kiosk to order, maybe this is my fault but I asked for my drink to be no ice but it felt pretty hot? I assumed no ice would be room temperature not hot but worker re made it for me pretty fast. I tried using my visa to swipe but it didn’t work, apple pay and chip works though. Place is clean and there’s seasonal teddy bear cups you can get. Kiosk will ask you to tip even though staff doesn’t really talk to you. I got the Taro milk tea and it wasn’t my personal favorite but I probably just don’t like Taro. Friend got a Mango passion fruit jasmine green tea with 50% sugar and Mango Jelly. I personally liked hers a lot better and will probably order that when I go to Uni Uni in Chicago this weekend.

Friend doesn’t like a lot of sugar, so she still thought that the 50% was too much sugar. To me, as someone who likes sugar, it was really sweet even for 50% but it was the perfect sugar level for me.

“Amazing gem in Bloomingdale. The menu has many choices including gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, lactose free, and for us carnivores. Drink menu has sake, handcrafted beer, wines, cocktails, bottled beer, teasing, bubble teas and more. We started with egg rolls and pancake scallion bites. They provide four sauces! My favorite is the chili oil, but there is also ginger, Wasabi and sweet sauce. All made in house. Entrees were sesame peanut noodles and Mongolian beef. So good. We will be back.“

“Voltage is the best bubble tea I have had in all of Chicagoland! I usually get bubble tea in the city, but this is far better than any place I have tried. They have quite an assortment of flavors (Honeydew! Peach! My faves and so rare to find!). The milk tea came perfectly cold with just enough ice to keep it cool (but not too much) as well as a generous amount of tapioca/boba! The tapioca balls were a wonderfully pleasant, squishy consistency- a tapioca texture unmatched by anywhere I’ve been before. We ordered 2 milk teas and were offered a free tea on our next order- which is very kind, considering bubble tea is expensive! At first my sister was skeptical about getting bubble tea from a fast food spot, but we are so glad we did! I am sold on Voltage and will go out of my way to come whenever I am in the area or passing through.“

“We stopped here on a whim while we waited for a tire repair at the local Firestone. Super friendly staff. Lots of customers coming in to place orders. My husband daughter ordered fries chicken and chicken tenders with fries and they did warn us it would take twenty mins because they cook them fresh to order. They were the crispiest, tastiest, flakiest pieces of chicken. The fries were awesome too. I had a single chicken taco and it was fresh, flavorful and delicious! “Went here to try their famous ice cream rolls, especially after my friend had vouched so much for their Oreo ice cream rolls. Definitely felt worth giving it a shot!

I tried two combinations: Strawberry & Vanilla and Rose & Coconut. Both were interesting, but I personally loved the Strawberry & Vanilla much more, the flavors were fresh, creamy, and really enjoyable.

“Lao Sichuan has the most authentic and consistently amazing Chinese food to be found anywhere in the U.S. Having spent some time living in China while I was in undergrad, there are certain flavors that I crave, which your run of the mill American style Chinese restaurant will not have. My wife and I live in St Charles and make the 1 hour 20 minute round trip at least once a week to get our fix. The food is that good. The owner is seemingly always there, and obviously genuinely cares about ensuring quality in what is served every time. Our favorites are Chengdu Style King Pao Chicken, Ma Po Tofu, Beef in Pure Cumin Powder, Toothpicks Lamb, and the Xiao Long Bao. I cannot for the life of me fathom how this restaurant does not have a higher rating. It is the best. Try it. You won't regret it.“

“The drinks are so refreshing, I always get the passion fruit tea on a hot day. The matcha macchiato is also really refreshing with the whipped cream. They even took the time to make it pretty because they overheard me saying that I’d be taking pictures. This girl at the cashier also had great service. “Let’s get one thing straight. People, no one is perfect. Every single restaurants have its own problems. I have been going to this restaurant for at least 3 years. This is one of my favorite of places. Never had one single issue that I can say is worthwhile giving them a bad review. Sometimes people do reviews based on one single visit. Try to give this people a little a break and maybe another chance, if you are still not happy go to along with whatever is going to make you happy or where you can maybe complaint and get a free meal.“
