“Excellent, fresh food. Love Chinese food and have had it in Chinatowns, downtown and suburbs. Ordered the Singapore noodle lunch special. Not always made well at other restaurants.But here the entire noodle dish was excellent. They did not skimp on shrimp, veg or eggs. The spice level was good and matched requested level. Good curry taste without overwhelming. The pork eggroll was also tasty as was the sweet dipping sauce. Even the ubiquitous fortune cookie was fresh.Only thing was the person who took my order said soup was included with take out. It wasn't. Oh, well. In line with most other places that offer soup for dine in only.Other than that try this place. It's really good IMO. They close early, at 8:30pm and are closed Tue.“
“I found this gem by chance. The food is beyond amazing, I had the fermented seafood pho. OMG!!! The flavors were so good, and nothing was overpowering. The previous times i came here—Saturday 1/21 and Sunday, 1/22---were both great, too! On Saturday, I had the Dragonball Tea; on Sunday, the Grapefruit Lychee Jelly Tea--I'd definitely order both again! I haven't been to a tea house in about 6 or 7 years when I used to make the schlep to Highland Park to Billy Corgan's tea house, Madame Zuzu's! Umbrella Tea House is, so far, the absolute best I've ever been to (closer to home, not as pricey, better ambience, younger/more interesting clientele)! The tea selection is huge and interesting, the ambience is hip and surreal (loved the beautiful, trippy, lit up enchanted forest decor inside, plus the small comfy couch seating in the back, along with all the anime figures on the counter...So very COOL!!! The employees who work here are professional, knowledgeable, and efficient! Last, the clientele here is young, diverse and very cool without any pretension--I hung out for 2 hours each visit, loving my awesomely flavorful, relaxing tea and digging the surreal, chilled out vibe of the place and the atom collider of Millennial/Gen Z-ers who flooded the place after I came in each time! You could people watch all day! The first time I came in, a young dude with a long denim dress came in! Today, 4 Pakistani dudes with long black beards in traditional gown-like outfits came in! It was all too cool to see such diversity in 1 spot each time! Definitely coming back a few million more times!!“

“Found Babam this evening just walking around downtown Wheaton. It was such a wonderful discovery! The owner spoke with us for quite a while, and since it was our first visit she made a suggestion. Though most people order cold bubble teas, we were looking for something hot. We went with the pumpkin pie chai, and it was crazy good! They also have Japanese-inspired baked goods. “Was in the area and had to make a stop back to Mochinut. The flavors this week looked really good. I love the texture and chewiness of these donuts. They are light and not overly sweet. We enjoyed the original glazed and churro at the store. My sister was expecting the glazed to be a sugar rush. But to her surprise it wasn't too sweet, but perfect! She had her first mochiball and loved the strawberry filling. Great little after noon treat to enjoy with hot tea on this frigid cold weekend!“

The only reason I didn't give it 5 star is the glass jar cup really needs some kind of sleeve for little hands. my 3 year old could not hold it without it being too cold or too slippery. she's a Boba connoisseur and she doesn't have that problem with the standard plastic cup with heat sealed lids, but the glass, while nice touch; isn't compatible with little kids.“
“I've been trying to look a good matcha ice cream place in Chicago for the longest time and I FOUND IT! Releaf is located in the cutest Japanese marketplace, tucked away in the corner amid other restaurants. I got their Black Sesame and Matcha mixed soft serve on a cone. Honestly, there isn't much to say except that it was delicious. The quantity is really great, swirl was aesthetically pleasing to look at, and you can taste both the matcha and black sesame. The staff said that the soft serve is definitely stronger compared to the ice cream scoop. They do serve drinks during their normal operating hour, but after like 6/7pm, they only sell soft serve and ice cream after those times.“

So it might be a little awkward if you have a large group. The drinks were pretty good though, we got the brown sugar milk tea everything was decent. “Voltage is the best bubble tea I have had in all of Chicagoland! I usually get bubble tea in the city, but this is far better than any place I have tried. They have quite an assortment of flavors (Honeydew! Peach! My faves and so rare to find!). The milk tea came perfectly cold with just enough ice to keep it cool (but not too much) as well as a generous amount of tapioca/boba! The tapioca balls were a wonderfully pleasant, squishy consistency- a tapioca texture unmatched by anywhere I’ve been before. We ordered 2 milk teas and were offered a free tea on our next order- which is very kind, considering bubble tea is expensive! At first my sister was skeptical about getting bubble tea from a fast food spot, but we are so glad we did! I am sold on Voltage and will go out of my way to come whenever I am in the area or passing through.“

“I never do reviews of places but had to get online immediately after I had the food from Hangry Joe’s. I tried their hot dry rub tenders and waffle fries. I’m usually a saucy kind of guy but I had their hot dry rub and was hooked. The rub is phenomenal if you like your tenders spicy and the waffle fries were nice and crispy. Definitely check this place out if you haven’t. 10/10 food!“
