“Can't believe I haven't dropped this place a review yet. It's my go to place for a summer day when I'm looking for a little bit of a lighter vibe for lunch. I've always gotten the build your own bowl and it's yet to disappoint. Portions are generous. Have gotten the donuts a couple times and they were light and tasty with plenty of amazing sounding options. Consistent, good quality tasting food. Always have ordered online and always given the correct food with timely, friendly service. Inside is kept very clean. Will definitely keep this place in rotation and at some point will have to try some more of the menu. Glad to have this place in Elmhurst!“

“I cautiously entered the aging bowling alley to decide for myself if Boba Burger is as good as I've heard. After circling the parking lot to find a space during league play it better be.The menu is a big sign on the wall and there are a lot of interesting choices. The prices are good, too. The guy at the counter was friendly and helpful. I ended up ordering the Seoul Burger.It was simply incredible. Kimchi, kalbi glazed bacon, fried egg. A perfect blend of flavors and textures, and no cutting corners on quality. So freaking good!The Thai iced tea is delicious, too.SECOND VISIT: It was so good I had to bring my fiance back with me. The egg rolls are above average, I had to fight her for that last one. “Today (Sunday, 1/29), was my 3rd time here! Great visit! I ordered the Ultimate Ace Milk Tea; it was really good —loved its honey flavor and smooth milkiness! The previous times i came here—Saturday 1/21 and Sunday, 1/22---were both great, too! On Saturday, I had the Dragonball Tea; on Sunday, the Grapefruit Lychee Jelly Tea--I'd definitely order both again! I haven't been to a tea house in about 6 or 7 years when I used to make the schlep to Highland Park to Billy Corgan's tea house, Madame Zuzu's! Umbrella Tea House is, so far, the absolute best I've ever been to (closer to home, not as pricey, better ambience, younger/more interesting clientele)! The tea selection is huge and interesting, the ambience is hip and surreal (loved the beautiful, trippy, lit up enchanted forest decor inside, plus the small comfy couch seating in the back, along with all the anime figures on the counter...So very COOL!!! The employees who work here are professional, knowledgeable, and efficient! Last, the clientele here is young, diverse and very cool without any pretension--I hung out for 2 hours each visit, loving my awesomely flavorful, relaxing tea and digging the surreal, chilled out vibe of the place and the atom collider of Millennial/Gen Z-ers who flooded the place after I came in each time! You could people watch all day! The first time I came in, a young dude with a long denim dress came in! Today, 4 Pakistani dudes with long black beards in traditional gown-like outfits came in! “This is my go-to boba spot in Niles. It's situated in the same plaza as Hmart, which is very convenient to stop by before or after grocery shopping. Plenty of parking space. “Update 4/7/24It’s been like a year since I was last here but we decided to give it a try again. We came here for a late lunch. It’s located in a small outlet, so parking can be limited since it’s shared. They do have some places to sit and eat but it’s limited especially during peak hours. When we came in, we practically had the whole place to ourselves. I believe it’s family owned and the owners are very nice and attentive. They have one gender neutral bathroom.We ordered stir fried lamb with onions, sweet and sour pork with pineapple, and shrimp, chive, and egg dumplings. Portion sizes are very generous and prices are reasonable.-stir fried lamb with onions 5 - lamb meat is very tender, requires very little chewing.-sweet and sour pork with pineapple 5 - most Americanized Chinese places, the pork would be soggy, but here the skin is very crispy. Pork inside is succulent.-shrimp, chive, and egg dumplings 5 - I really liked how they listened to my feedback from last time and added more moisture inside. They were definitely juicier and tastier than before. Skin is thin, good sized dumplings, and flavorful.Rating is 4No, the owners have not changed. I recommend getting dishes that are not the typical Americanized Chinese dishes like mongolian beef. Try something new and different.Dumplings I would give 4/5. “The boba here is the best boba out of any place in the western suburbs. I have tried several places in Oakbrook, Bloomingdale, Lisle and none have the freshness and consistency of the boba here. In addition, I have found them to also be the BEST PRICE and highest quality. My fiancé and I come here once a month at least and more in the warmer weather.
