I absolutely love this place. The pancake bites and chocolate are my favorite. Prices are very affordable and the service here is unmatched, attentive, welcoming, and warm enough to make you feel right at home. This kind of genuine hospitality is so rare, and it’s exactly why this spot will always have my support. Thank you!

“I was recommended this restaurant by a Taiwanese coworker who claimed that it was pretty authentic. While I’m not a fan of bubble tea in general, I was drawn here by the promise of an authentic bowl of Taiwanese beef noodle soup.

Tonight we ordered the braised pork rice and drink combo, along with the signature beef and tendon noodle soup. The portions were good, and the ingredients seemed fresh. While both dishes were delicious, I wish the soup had been hotter. I also wish the braised pork rice had less pork fat, or ideally no pork fat at all, like the ones we tried in Taipei!

Also this isn’t a traditional sit-down restaurant. You have the option to self order at the walk up self-ordering machines, then pick up your food when it’s ready or the it will be delivered to your table using your name if you choose to dine in. The atmosphere wasn’t particularly relaxing in my opinion, with limited seating that can get crowded quickly.

I would come back to try some of the other dishes, but probably at a time when it’s less crowded.“

“This place just opened and its fantastic! The best Thai milk tea ive had. Most places it seems uses a Sweetened mix but here you actually taste the fresh brewed tea. And the tapioca boba has good flavor and the perfect texture. My daughter loves the oreo ice blend also. Tastes just like eating a cookie.“

“So came across this place on my walk and love boba tea so I stopped in. I got the chicken sandwich and fries for a great deal ($8) and I must say I’m very impressed. The sandwich taste fresh, I got less spicy spice level and the chicken is nice and juicy. The sandwich has some really good flavor. Not hard at all which I love cause I hate getting sandwiches with hard chicken. I paired with a spicy mayo.

Just earned a new customer. Love the indoor seating as well and they got free wifi!

“Went in for the first time last week and I can’t wait to go back again! Ordered their cookies and cream shake and asked for it to be a little less sweet and they made it perfect! I also got a taro boba and that was delicious as well. The boba pearls were soft and chewy. The ladies at the front were very friendly and they gave me a small sample of the taro tea to try before I ordered it. Overall a great experience!“

“been here a few times, each is better experience that the last, attempt to try most of their items on menu. So far, my favorite is their Mango smoothies with cloud cheese, as drink. Their cloud cheese is really good and a balance of salty taste with the sweetness of the mango, the tapioca in the drinks is plentiful but not overpowering the water content. I had it in other Chinatown restaurants, some had too many tapiocas that my teeth were tired chewing them. Cuckoo is not. Their Don (Japanese rice bowls) and their bibimbap (Korean rice bowls) are excellent. Have not decide which is better because each have their own uniqueness and tastes; I had 2 types of their bibimbap before and only 1 type of their Don. So far, I am leaning towards the Don but there is excellent amount of veggie in their Bibimbap, which is ideal for weigh concise person. Wish they have a loyal customer rewards style of drinks incentives, much like some restaurants, for example, buy 9 and get 1 free drink, or some % off after 5 drink purchases, and give customers an advertisable nice pocket size reward card to keep track of their purchases. That may also work with food item purchases as well. Crossing my fingers that this may happen soon. With summer in Chicago, cool refreshing drinks is ideal and as loyal customers, return for more drink purchases with rewards will be even better.“

“The service was great. I enjoyed a Brown Sugar Milk Tea made by Octavian. They were the only worker at the time and were managing all the orders well. Despite being busy Octavian took the time to tape my drink up so I could carry it in my bag. Will visit again!“

“This is one of the best Boba shops in Roger's Park. When I'm in the area, I enjoy taking a walk over to get a drink here. TBaar has an extensive menu of drinks and food. I enjoy having lots of options and the ability to try something new each time I visit. The shop is beautiful and always clean. The employees are friendly and hard working. On this visit, I ordered the Brown Sugar Bubble Coffee. It was really good. I have ordered milk teas, green teas and lemonade from here, all which have been delicious. This place is definitely a must stop if you want a great drink while in Roger's Park!!“

On our second trip, they offered to let us sample some of the toppings as we noted that my daughter wasn't a fan of the crystal boba that she got on her last visit. She ended up substituting the crystal boba for the strawberry popping boba. The drinks were delicious, the staff was helpful and the restaurant was adorable.“

Love the variety here of mochi donuts, Korean corn dogs, and drinks! They have a rotating menu of specialty flavors every week for the donuts. I really enjoyed the yuzu refresher-esque drink I had! It wasn't too sweet,

“VERY good! We were two people coming in near closing. One of us got the Vegetable Pho and Loved it. Pho isn't one of my faves but after trying it, I understood. The flavor and mix of veggies and noodles were delish. I ordered Beef Lo Mein and loved it. The beef was a cut above expected, the noodles, veggies and flavor, spot on. Most folks get take-out but we ate there. It was 35 minutes before closing. After 10 minutes we were served. We stayed to eat while the food was hot, then left (the table clean) 5 minutes before they closed with our leftovers. The gentleman in front was nice. Our table by the window was an enjoyable spot. “Drinks and efficiency are 5/5. Best fruit tea in the area. It’s super cute with the couch and flowering tree, there’s some games, and good music. Accessibility is poor tho. I am using a temporary mobility aid, and there’s a couple inch step before the first door, plus no button to automatically open the doors. The path to the bathroom today was also very narrow due to lots of boxes, and I couldn’t get my wheelchair in (at least today). Seems like fixable things; add a small cement ramp by the door, clear the hallway, add a door button. :) I really do love this place overall and have even gotten a cute plushie keychain here too!“

“It used to make really good drinks, but I don’t know what happened recently. I ordered Uji matcha boba today and it was totally watered down. The matcha they use is strong, which I really like, but it doesn’t taste like before…maybe it’s more water than before? I am leaving this review hoping it can taste like before“

“I still think about this place when I see coconut matcha anywhere. Stringria has the best coconut matcha latte and my other favorite is the watermelon jasmine tea with coconut milk.
