The pretzel was freshly baked, not some microwaved deal and I enjoyed my beverage and snack at a sidewalk table to enjoy the Summer night. The two folks working that night were very friendIy as well. I really hope this place finds a growing and loyal clientele because it's a great spot to have in downtown Skokie. Pop by and give them a shot; i don't think you'll be disappointed.”

“The restaurant is cool and comfortable on a very hot and humid day. The restaurant looks good and smells good. Came to do laundry next door and found this by luck. I have lived on the other side of the world and I have been to Thailand multiple times. This food is excellent. We had teriyaki chicken and tom yum. The nice lady explained it was one of her first days while the owner is in Thailand on vacation. Hopefully they see this and know their restaurant is in good hands!”

My husband and i were craving some pink bubble gum ice cream from Baskin-Robbins. However almost none of the locations in the Chicago area seem to carry it (or even answer the phone) we had called several locations but were unsuccessful, until we called this location - one of their employees, Syed answered the phone immediately, was very professional and said they do carry it!. We drove over and our server was the same man who answered the phone. Syed immediately recognized us from the phone call as soon as we asked for the ice cream. And was very very friendly! Absolutely outstanding customer service! We will definitely be returning to this location for our pink bubble gum ice cream!”

COMING TO THE NORTH SUBURBS JUSTS RECENTLY THESE TYPES OF PLACES (HOURS 24/7) ARE FAR AND FEW IN BETWEEN. ON SUNDAY IT IS EVEN A LOT WORSTS WITH SOME PLACES OPENING LATER, CLOSING EARLY OR IF NOT OPENED AT ALL. SO I WAS EXCITED TO SEE ONE PLACE OPEN AND SUBWAY IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES. “Returned for the first time since 1985! Owner established that they’ve been there since 1978. Didn’t recognize anything but just wanted to bring home a Gyros and I did. Highly recommend it. Pita was perfect. Was still warm when I got home. Huge sandwich with an incredible amount of gyros and an awesome tzatziki sauce. Fresh tomatoes and onions—my mouth is watering 5 hours later writing this review. They’re still going strong after almost 50 years cause they’re friendly, consistent and serve great food!”

“Sourdough Traditional Bread & Cookies Purchase I recently picked up some sourdough bread and cookies, and both were absolutely delightful. The sourdough had that perfect balance of a crisp, golden crust and a chewy, tangy interior. You could tell it was naturally leavened and fermented just right — the flavor was deep and complex without being overly sour. It’s the kind of bread that elevates even a simple sandwich or just stands on its own with a bit of butter. The cookies were equally impressive. Freshly baked, with a perfect texture — slightly crisp at the edges and soft in the middle. Whether classic chocolate chip or something more unique, they had just the right amount of sweetness without being overpowering. Clearly made with care and quality ingredients. I’ll definitely be back for more. Highly recommended if you’re after artisanal baked goods that taste homemade (in the best way possible). I have a Lotta friends in Fort Myers who go all the way to Tampa to get this sandwich and they continue to tell me how good it is. So this evening we decided to go to Portillo since I was visiting on my grandkids and my daughter and son-in-law, I really enjoyed that Italian beef sandwich. There are a lot of other good things on the menu, but that was what I was there for. Unfortunately, they do not have a Portillo’s Station FortnMyer Florida. I can only hope that one day they will build it there.”

“my family and i went there tonight as first timers. id like to say the food is absolutely delish except the soups. we had the new england clam chowder amd the seafood gumbo and they honestly tasted like can soup. the fried calamri were perfect and the raw oysters were fresh and cleaned immaculately. we would definitely go back BUT will not have matthew as our server. he was honestly terrible. unattentive to us on a very slow Wednesday night in the restaurant. if he came around 2 or 3 times during the hour and half we were there it was a lot and to drop off food. my husband asked for a refill on his drink after 15 minutes i had to get up to look for him and eventually had to bother farrah, another server working. she promptly got him a drink and checked on us several times after that. matthew nowhere to be found until it was time for the check to be paid. his service would have turned my nose at a return but farrah saves the night and the fact wed be return customers soon. also we asked for a small container of butter we recieved a bowl cool until we got the bill and they were charging $6 for a bowlof butter. would have been nice if mathew would have let us know our options before deciding it was cool to bring whatever he chose. he did remove it from the bill when i questioned it but the point is there was transparency or communication before hand. ivell farrah and the good saved the night, sorry mathew you need to work on your service if this is your choice of job”

“I order Daves Hot Chicken ALL the time.. Always get door dash and the order is always 💯. Today I went and ordered carry out, and I haven’t done that since they first opened, as well as when it was my first time.
I never write reviews but I had to make it known;
Jose took my order & it was a BIG order, with a couple precise requests…not only was he quick but was very patient with me! He made sure everything was all correct and on point! Super appreciative of that because its rare now adays getting customer service that goes above & beyond.
So this employee was definitely an absolute rockstar!. Overall experience was 10/10; as well as the food of course!💯‼️”

“I’ve been here many times and enjoy it because ingredients are fresh, but service is very slow today and not very busy but a couple of servers were working at a snail’s pace. Never was greeted, never a smile and never looked at me except for the gentleman who was taking care of a woman who talked and talked and talked. There were 4 staff that pretty much kept to themselves. My online order took more than 20 minutes and it was ready but the 2 women didn’t want to be at the register to find out what I wanted. The Northbrook location is quite different.”
