“The food was tasty, although if you’re used to very spicy food, you might find the spice level a little mild. One thing I really liked was that they serve the food in dishes with lids, which helps keep it warm throughout the meal. Even by the time you finish eating, the food stays nice and hot, which is a great touch! The prices are also very reasonable and offer good value for money. Overall, I had a great experience and really enjoyed the food!“

“One of the best experiences of my life. The food, the atmosphere, the service from start to finish, were all impeccable. By the end of the meal, my palate and my appetite were fulfilled in the best ways possible. The customized service that they provide to each individual was just astounding. They remembered our names, where we were from, and even commented on some of the places we visited throughout the meal. How they remember such detail for every client is admirable! Thank you to the whole Indienne group for making this an experience we will never forget.“

“I've been ordering delivery from this place consistently over the past few months but finally made it in person tonight. Dhanteraz is easily my favorite Indian restaurant in the city with spot-on food, a welcoming setting (we sat on the sidewalk patio), and great service. I loved how the lamb biryani was served in a clay pot with a breaded lid. I didn't catch his name but there was a wonderful young man working the door, taking our orders, and closing us out who just did a stellar job from the service front. I was very impressed and will be back soon.“

“Food was wonderful. A great addition to the neighborhood and highly recommended. Get in here“
“Good courteous service. Relatively fast for an upscale restaurant. We are vegetarians and whatever we tried was just about ok. Thatte idly by itself had a nice soft texture but the overall dish with the idly dipped in peanut chutney was not very impressive. Benne dosae was surprisingly good. The potato filling was flavorful. The coconut chutney served with the dosae was sour and a little bit of a let down. The Vangyache Bharit was the most disappointing. The dish was quite sour and we were left searching for flavor. Garlic and chilli naan were good.“

“Food was very good, but you need to like spicy. It's a fusion of Mexican and Indian cuisines. The big disappointment is that do not have beer... only one brand listed, but they do not had it in the house. For me it's not the kind of food to harmonize with wine. I can't understand no beer in a Mexican place.“

“Food was delicious and our waiter (Jaden) was friendly and attentive. We had the samosas to start, the fish basant, chicken makhani (my personal fav), and the side of yellow dal. Desert of the cheesecake was great as well. Plenty of left overs between 2 people. Will definitely be back!“

“I would go here again and again. Food quality is excellent. What can I say about NICK the manager. Outstanding manager. He listens to customer. Make sure we leave place very happy. If you complain about food, he will replace immediately without any questions asked. He makes sure that all the customers are very happy. We order a corn soup, my wife thought it was not spiced up enough. She asked waiter to spiced up. Manager came and told her that this is the way it comes and cannot spice up. He replaced her with another type of soup and did not even charge us for that. Great place to go for diner with family and friends.“

“Nina's was an excellent value, and tasty - a place I will return to or order from in the future for Indian food. I've been enjoying indian food since I was a child in the 70's, and recently my elder greek aunt mentioned she knew about Nina's and wanted to try it. She's in her early 90's and I knew she had concern for flavors and overly hot spices, so I was initially anxious - yet the menu had many clear options and while I can tolerate medium heat in dishes, I was able to discern helpfully which dishes were significantly spiced and also find out if the spice was hot, or simply aromatic in descriptions - she tried the Goat Biryani and requested it not over-spiced. Portions were excellent, both for her dish and the Chicken Tikka Masala which my wife and I requested, which we stated we liked spice for. They accomplished our dishes well all around and accompanied with delicious crisp veg samosas filled with the usual lovely and tender filling - dipping sauces, garlic naan, and complimentry basmati rice with our tikka dishes. The little gulab jamuun donut balls in sweet sauce was a perfect desert at the end.
My aunt's goat biryani was very pleasantly spiced, not hot but still a nice medley of spice that accompanied the large and tasty pieces of goat - which really pleased my greek aunt and though she ate as much as she could, she still sent half of it home with me and my wife AND took some of it home with herself as left overs! As a standby, we orderded normal chai with cream and sugar and it was excellent, but they have a full bar and selections of indian beers and other beverages, as well as western sodas.
The ambiance as some have mentioned may need a little work, but it was nice tables inside, many two tops, but also enough to handle medium parties as well without rearrangement. Quiet inside, we could hear ourself talk and enjoy the gathering - and though some might feel an indian restaruant needs something like lowly played pleasant music -by and large Nina's cooking did the speaking and it would call us back.“

“Took my date here from dinner as she recommended, and was pleased as punch that it was as good as she advertised! Service was lightning quick, atmosphere was very relaxing and welcoming, and the food was divine. It was my first time having Indian cuisine, and it did not disappoint one bit! I had the Butter Chicken and my date had the Cheese Dosa. Both came out hot and appetizing, and the Butter Chicken tasted amazing. 10/10, would absolutely eat here almost every day if I could.
Edit on 08/15/2026: Went back her for dinner again and it was still a banger. Get the Mushroom Cheese Dosa, it's so good.“

“This is a one of a kind "fast food" restaurant. I like to think of it as the Chipotle of Indian food. I had the chicken tikka wrap. They have standard Indian curry dishes, both meat and vegetarian curries, and they wrap them up in a pita-like bread. It's like an Indian burrito. Everything is a la carte, but if you get the house made chips (I think they're plantain chips, but I'm not sure), they give you this awesome sweet and spicy ketchup dipping sauce. If you love Indian food but don't have the time or money for a full service Indian restaurant, definitely try this place out!“

“The goat curry was pretty good, and the service was so good, tbh. They were really friendly and welcoming. The only thing is, the sauce for the veg chili momo tasted more Italian than Nepali, so just keep that in mind. Overall, I’d say this place is definitely worth a try and a go-to spot.“

“Highly recommend! Good food that 3 generations of Desi immigrants approve of, from those born in colonial India, to post partition Pakistanis, to American-Born little ones. Suits all palates.
All food was good but saag paneer in particular was the bomb. So was nihari (authentic!). Elachi chai was great , too. Very clean, down to the bathroom. Kind service.“

“This place won our hearts during our 4th July long weekend visit to Chicago this year. We were 3 days in Chicago and for all those days, this was our spot for lunch.
The ambience was nice, place was clean & beautiful and the food was just DIVINE! From everything we tried, our favorite dishes were Paneer Lollipop, Malai Kofta, Chicken Chettinad, Benne Dosa, Malabar Parotta, and of course, filter coffee. Must must must visit this place while in Chicago.“

“7 Spices is an absolute gem! The food is simply fantastic—delicious, flavorful, and prepared with great attention to quality and taste. Every visit has been a wonderful experience, and the food never disappoints.
All items in the menu are fantastic, their Indo-Chinese is the best when compared to any other restaurants.
In addition to the food they have exceptional hospitality and outstanding customer service. The staff genuinely care about their guests and go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable.
I especially want to recognize Valan, who has consistently taken such wonderful care of me during my visits. His warmth, professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine kindness are truly remarkable. He makes sure everything is perfect, pays attention to the little details, and always goes the extra mile to make the dining experience special. It’s rare to come across someone who takes such genuine pride in looking after customers.“
