“I've been ordering delivery from this place consistently over the past few months but finally made it in person tonight. Dhanteraz is easily my favorite Indian restaurant in the city with spot-on food, a welcoming setting (we sat on the sidewalk patio), and great service. I loved how the lamb biryani was served in a clay pot with a breaded lid. I didn't catch his name but there was a wonderful young man working the door, taking our orders, and closing us out who just did a stellar job from the service front. I was very impressed and will be back soon.“

“Amazing service, food, and experience. Can't wait to share this with my boys next time.“
“Good courteous service. Relatively fast for an upscale restaurant. We are vegetarians and whatever we tried was just about ok. Thatte idly by itself had a nice soft texture but the overall dish with the idly dipped in peanut chutney was not very impressive. Benne dosae was surprisingly good. The potato filling was flavorful. The coconut chutney served with the dosae was sour and a little bit of a let down. The Vangyache Bharit was the most disappointing. The dish was quite sour and we were left searching for flavor. Garlic and chilli naan were good.“

“We did the chef's counter tasting menu for our anniversary and it was incredible, every course was a hit and I don't think we could choose a single standout if we tried. Staff were great and super attentive, the wines and cocktail paired with our courses were perfect, overall a 10/10 experience.“

“Being an old Irishman, I wasn’t sure Indian food was an option for a family dinner. Adda Restaurant in Little Italy proved me wrong. They were kind and most helpful in choosing entrees. My family was excited and blown away with the flavors, the options, the spices and the quality of the chefs entrees. Thank you for your help and we will be sure to become regulars.“

“Food was delicious and our waiter (Jaden) was friendly and attentive. We had the samosas to start, the fish basant, chicken makhani (my personal fav), and the side of yellow dal. Desert of the cheesecake was great as well. Plenty of left overs between 2 people. Will definitely be back!“

“Wow!!! The bone in curry was one of the best meals I have ever had! So much flavor and went so well with the garlic naan! They even brought out a dessert of doughnut like balls dipped in a syrup free of charge. So tasty! Was visiting but will make a point to go back the next time I am in Chicago.“

“Highly recommend! Good food that 3 generations of Desi immigrants approve of, from those born in colonial India, to post partition Pakistanis, to American-Born little ones. Suits all palates.
All food was good but saag paneer in particular was the bomb. So was nihari (authentic!). Elachi chai was great , too. Very clean, down to the bathroom. Kind service.“

“This place is great!
Little spot up on Jarvis Square. Nice and clean on the inside. Butter chicken is smackin. Good naan. Samosas are fye. I’m not an expert on Indian cuisine but this place hits my cravings better than some of the spots I’ve tried on Devon.“

“This is a one of a kind "fast food" restaurant. I like to think of it as the Chipotle of Indian food. I had the chicken tikka wrap. They have standard Indian curry dishes, both meat and vegetarian curries, and they wrap them up in a pita-like bread. It's like an Indian burrito. Everything is a la carte, but if you get the house made chips (I think they're plantain chips, but I'm not sure), they give you this awesome sweet and spicy ketchup dipping sauce. If you love Indian food but don't have the time or money for a full service Indian restaurant, definitely try this place out!“

“I’ve been meaning to stop by this shop for a little while. I got the iced salted maple matcha latte with cloud foam and it was delicious! I wanted to try the ube crinkle cookies but they were out on a Sunday afternoon. The staff were very friendly, and the wait was about 10 minutes. The atmosphere was a little loud with the two restaurants in one space so I grabbed my matcha to go.“

“Must try is the prime rib sandwich. Thinly sliced with caramelized onions and horseradish cream sauce. It was the best I’ve had and I do lots of traveling around the country. It’s number one.
The day before I had the fish and chips and it is my number 3 of all time.
If you’re staying at the Embassy Suites, they give you a $25 so-called gift card for this place.“

“Came through Saffron Street for dinner after work in the Loop and it was a solid move. I got the butter chicken, garlic naan, and basmati rice. Chicken was creamy, well spiced, and the naan came out fresh and fluffy. Service was quick and everyone was cool without hovering. Spot’s got a nice chill feel inside too. Definitely one of my go-to Indian spots downtown now.“

“The very first course, the Dahi Puri, is one of the best dishes I've eaten in my life. A symphony of flavors, presenting themselves one by one and then in combination. Absolute bliss. The vegan tasting menu is culinary heaven on earth. And what makes this restaurant possibly the best I've been to in the world is not only their culinary achievements, but that they excel to the highest levels at absolutely every other part of the dining experience.. the waitstaff, the music, the table spacing, the décor, the tableware, the flatware, the wine menu, the wine glasses, the timing of the courses.. all perfection. Every single staff member from hostess, servers, bartenders, Sommelier, food runners.. every person is an absolute delight. Their attentiveness, kindness and attention to detail is extraordinary. It's clear that they are at the very top of their field and genuinely enjoy working here. Whoever does the hiring here deserves a Michelin star. I've been to great restaurants where the dining experience is ruined because you're seated so close to the other tables you may as well join in on their conversation. Not here. Same with music - the volume level and music selection must pair well with the meal and it's astonishing how many restaurants miss this. Indienne gets it right. When the restaurant Alinea in Chicago was Michelin-rated the best in North America and 6th best in the world, with many others calling it the best in the world, I was lucky enough to have dined there three times. The vegan menu at Indienne is well on it's way to that level with dishes like the Dahi Puri and Avocado Kebab having already arrived. I walked in off the street on a Thursday and although they were packed, they were able to offer me a table. So if you don't have a reservation, still go! You can also eat at the bar, although you can't do the full vegan tasting menu at the bar. You're limited to 3 vegan dishes with bar seating but honestly you'll still be full and in heaven.“
