“I am late writing my review but I had to write it !! I visited provare chicago On july 8th !! From start to finish this restaurant gets 5 starts . The decor was nice and set a perfect atmosphere for a great night . We were greeted immediately upon arrival and seated within 5 minutes of being there . Once seated the wait staff began their introduction's on drinks and popular menu item's. After my party ordered drinks and appetizers a gentleman came over (not sure if he was the manager) and introduce himself and made sure we were having a great experience. Appetizers were amazing!! We couldn't wait for dinner!! Our entrées we just as good if not better ! Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection! When we didn't think the night could get even better the entire wait staff and the gentleman that came over before stopped and recognized my friend for her birthday and brought over a birthday surprise!! I live 307 miles and this place was definitely worth the drive !!!“

“The dish I wanted to eat delivered on it's promises, and I was very happy about that as there aren't many restaurants that even serve Hunkar Begendi. They gave my friend a flan-like dessert for her birthday, which was a great surprise. The piano was a nice touch for ambiance, but a little loud for those sensitive to noise, but they will play happy birthday for you to sing to your loved ones. Al fresco dining is available, which should absolutely be utilized in nicer weather than we had.“

“OMG! I have missed good take out since going vegan, and this place blew my mind! They had all the classic Chinese rake out dishes. Everything I got tasted exactly like what I remember prior to being vegan. I got sweet and sour chicken, vegan salt & pepper shrimp, wonton soup, and bean paste dessert rice balls. Everything was heavenly and wish I had stuff like this where I lived. I will definitely be back when I'm in the Chicago area again! Heck, I'd travel just for this food! “We finally got to check this place out. Located next to Mon Ami Gabi, you enter through the magnificent lobby. Inside is decorated sparsely but with warmth. We sat near the window for brunch and it was not at all busy at Saturday 10am. It’s probably not the first pick for brunch since their menu is not heavily focused on egg dishes (but they featured baked goods trays which I promised myself to try when I bring a larger family here). They relocated to this new space last fall but I had not really noticed from outside in my walks. The menu is very Asian-fusion and food was high quality and creative. I preferred theirs to North Pond actually. Theirs have more flavor overall. We ordered Maine Lobster Dumplings, Warm Mushroom Salad (this was a hit. I’m going to try to recreate the roasted mushroom at home) and truffle croquettes, pork noodle served in Korean earthen pot and salmon tartine. The first two dishes are really memorable flavors. They were generous with Mimosa and J enjoyed Mezcal shots each with pickle brine and watermelon. Think dirty martini but with more zing! which I appreciated. We want to come back for their happy hour and try other dishes. So glad to find this gem today. Service was prompt and with smiles.“
