“Absolute dominance from a restaurant that is less than a month old. You thought you've had it all, that Chicago couldn't possibly have yet ANOTHER banger in Wicker Park, but i'll be damned, here we are. The cracklin' shrimp is so well done, I would eat a bowl of it. Lemony, spicy, deep fried deliciousness. The half chicken was among the best I've ever had (whatever that green sauce was, was KILLING IT) not to mention my wife's elote lasagna?!?! I can't wait to go back. THE MANAGER EVEN SMELLED GREAT. Victory!“

“my best friend and I just had the BEST experience at the whale! Our waitress taylor was incredible and the manager (so sorry but we never got his name because he was just being so nice to us) was incredible as well. We will definitely return with friends and recommend anyone to try it out! classy, but not snobby, cool decor, warm kind and accommodating staff, and great food and cocktails are just the cherry on top! try the carrot cake after your meal :) Thank you again to taylor and the manager again <3“

“My first time here having a dinner with my best friends and I came to celebrate my birthday and everything was so great. Adnane was our server and he was so nice, he gave us a great service, he heard us to speak Spanish and he talked to us in Spanish too, so that’s so awesome! So for sure we will back with family and friends.“

“We had a big event of 30 people (wedding rehearsal dinner) and Ada took care of us with no issues. Easily managed our entire tables orders with a calm, kind, and positive attitude. The food was also top notch. Highly recommend for a casual meal or for a large group if you need to rent out a space.“

“I am late writing my review but I had to write it !! I visited provare chicago On july 8th !! From start to finish this restaurant gets 5 starts . The decor was nice and set a perfect atmosphere for a great night . We were greeted immediately upon arrival and seated within 5 minutes of being there . Once seated the wait staff began their introduction's on drinks and popular menu item's. After my party ordered drinks and appetizers a gentleman came over (not sure if he was the manager) and introduce himself and made sure we were having a great experience. Appetizers were amazing!! We couldn't wait for dinner!! Our entrées we just as good if not better ! Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection! When we didn't think the night could get even better the entire wait staff and the gentleman that came over before stopped and recognized my friend for her birthday and brought over a birthday surprise!! I live 307 miles and this place was definitely worth the drive !!!“

“Amazing all around!!! The food was delicious and service was great. The pita was incredible and the hummus was truly authentic. We had the schnitzel which was super crunchy and the sauce on the side was very flavorful. The patio in the back is so nice and spacious and the word burning oven inside really sets the vibe. The drinks were also unique and delicious. You have to go!!“

“I had high expectations from Planta, but it didn’t quite land for me. That said, it might have been because we got takeout, which can sometimes affect the overall experience.
The baos were absolutely amazing—definitely the highlight of the meal and something I’d go back for on their own. The sushi roll (I don’t remember the exact one) was fairly mid and didn’t stand out much.
The 1000-layer crispy potato dish was fine; I’m not a big potato fan, but my friends seemed to enjoy it more than I did.
Overall, it’s worth trying at least once, especially for the baos, but I didn’t fully love the experience.“

“The Mi bo kho was genuinely the best thing I have ever eaten. I wish i couldve personally thanked the chef. Incredible depth of flavor, huge portion, and an assortment of extras to customize the flavor. My friend got the Bun rieu and loved it just as much, great seafood flavor and light but flavorful broth. We shared the bun xeo and loved that as well, especially with the added herbs and sauce! The entire staff were so kind and welcoming. Do not miss this place if you are in the area! And come hungry- you will want to eat a lot.“

“My wife and I had a "terrible"y great time this morning for breakfast. Roxy and Ziggy really gave the best experience. The food was great, portions were big, almost as big as the personalities of the staff. They really know how to throw down in this place, napkins, condiments, straws, food, etc. I loved going while they were a little slower to really get the full imersive experience. Thick skin and a big stomach are requirements to enjoy yourself. Truly an experience you need to do at least once. Think Dick's last resort with actual good food. The more you give them the more they give you😉 On a serious note though, they do a great job with allergy awareness, and take it very serious which is a good feeling. P.S. - The window sill pickles are indeed just real pickles someone left there, and not decor, I don't recommend touching them.... but i hope Ziggy had a good afternoon snack🤣🤣“

“After trying this place and Giordano's, I think this place is better. Both places are good, but after having Gino's, I didn't feel disgusting haha . The crust is thick but crispy, and the sauce was so good. This place is definitely easy to recommend for good Pizza.
