“I am late writing my review but I had to write it !! I visited provare chicago On july 8th !! From start to finish this restaurant gets 5 starts . The decor was nice and set a perfect atmosphere for a great night . We were greeted immediately upon arrival and seated within 5 minutes of being there . Once seated the wait staff began their introduction's on drinks and popular menu item's. After my party ordered drinks and appetizers a gentleman came over (not sure if he was the manager) and introduce himself and made sure we were having a great experience. Appetizers were amazing!! We couldn't wait for dinner!! Our entrées we just as good if not better ! Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection! When we didn't think the night could get even better the entire wait staff and the gentleman that came over before stopped and recognized my friend for her birthday and brought over a birthday surprise!! I live 307 miles and this place was definitely worth the drive !!!“

“Food is very good. We made our visit short as noise level is deafening. I was a bit disappointed that my ceviche did not include avocado as advertised. Short rib gnocchi was awesome as was eggplant. Caesar could be a bit more garlic and anchovy forward. Wine pours were more generous the last few times we visited. Wait staff is very professional. We will keep them on our list.“

“We've never been disappointed in our half dozen visits to Peanut Park. The pizzas are great, sausage and peppers appetizer, the pastas, and a great hazelnut gelato! The service is friendly. Parking is easy. There's a certain kind of nostalgia in a neighborhood restaurant like this. We'll be back!“

“Great Pizza. Almost like the ones original from Naples, Italy.
In my opinion it is more of a Pizzeria with a touch of "gourmet-quality" since it offers also pizzas that I never heard of (and I'm from Naples, Italy), like the pizza with gorgonzola and figs with prosciutto crudo, I ate it and was in heaven.
This is the 2nd joint in Chicago that makes Pizza very much like the ones you eat in Naples.
Of course, the REAL ? cannot be duplicated because you need the whole experience (along with fresh mozzarella, the right kind of water, tomatoes ?, and mozzarella di Bufala).
Don't get me wrong, the place is the closest to the authentic thing if you consider we are over 9000 miles from the real McCoy!
Parking is hard. The Pizzeria is wheelchair accessible as it is at street level.
A sad drawback are the tables: very close to one another (inside and outside)
You're almost better off ordering and picking up as opposed to eat in.“

“Andrew was the perfect addition to the bar area. I came in feeling a bit down after a long day of work. He was personable, prompt and provided great service. There was also a young man at the front reception (Mike) that was phenomenal…the young lady at check out (AJ) was also very prompt and polite. Great service.“

“I came here for dinner and it was lovely! Our waiter was very friendly and informative about the menu. Sadly they were out of a few menu items but what we had was delicious! I enjoyed the pizza more than the pasta we ordered, and bright side they had vegetarían options!“

“1. “Truffle & Fried Burrata Fettuccine”: Very delicious. You can taste the truffle but not too overwhelming. The fried burrata was excellent.
2. “Tiramisu” and “Torta Di Cioccolato”: Extremely Delicious. Will definitely come back just for the dessert
3. “Scallops & Fettuccine”: HORRIBLE. First the scallops was not seared at all. Then they take it back and return with deep fried scallop lol. Decent texture. But the pasta is overcooked and the sauce is too sour and watery with only sour flavor. Garlic was raw too. Just horrible.
We informed the server that the pasta was not edible, and they removed it from our check. Good service.“

“We happened upon this restaurant during a visit from New England. It was the best meal we had in Chicago. The restaurant is fabulous! We had delicious soup with incredible warm rolls, salad and 4 different amazing entrees. The restaurant has great windows to enjoy natural light and is quiet enough to have a conversation. All this with white tablecloths and a reasonable price.“

“We had the pleasure of coming here for a birthday dinner this evening and the entire experience was fantastic! The service was incredibly friendly, attentive and speedy, and the ambiance both indoors and on the patio (where we sat) was so well executed. The food was sublime; we tried the garlic knots, a pasta dish, and a Margherita pizza, all of which was to die for. Absolutely recommend!“

“I have food allergies. They made a delicious pizza that I could eat and enjoy instead the usual tasteless salad that I have to get so often. Couldn't be happier.“

“This restaurant is a true gem. It is an authentic northern Italian restaurant, not your ordinary Italian American pasta joint. The food is outstanding, the ingredients fresh, the service friendly yet professional, and the vibe classy yet comfortable. The outdoor patio, surrounded by flower and shrub-filled planters, is very pleasant. Carlo, the owner/manager, makes you feel like you are part of the family. Highly recommend.
Dietary restrictions: They offer gluten-fee pasta options.“

“Olio E Piu is my new go to italian restauran in Chicago. If you are looking for a delicious Italian cousin, look no further. All pasta dishes made from scratch and cooked al dente. My all time favorite is CHITARRA ALLA CARBONARA that I have to order every time I visit the restaurant. The added egg yolk brings that extra creamy flavor in sauce, and crispy bacon bites add just a right amount of saltiness and crunch to this amazing dish. In addition I must mention a great selection of Italian wines and handcrafted cocktails. Our server was knowledgeable about the wine list and provided great suggestions pairing wine with the dishes we ordered. Check out the Lambrusko, it is so versatile that it pretty much goes with anything on the menu. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, which is perfect for any occasion, be it romantic date, celebration or a business meal. The staff and management are friendly and attentive, which always makes the dining experience extra special. I will definitely be back to enjoy more amazing dishes on the menu, as its in the translation of the restaurant name - "Oil and More" - much more!“

“One of my favorite spots in Chicago! Frasca has a great, down to earth neighborhood feel but beautiful ambiance and thoughtful, quality food and wine. I’ve been coming here for the pizza for years, but have recently been loving the seasonal risotto. Great for a quick bite at the bar or dinner with friends and family.“

“Tony's is hands-down the best Italian beef you'll find in the Chicagoland area. Customize it how you like with sweet or hot peppers, cheese (provolone, swiss, mozzarella, or American), red sauce, giardiniera, wet (dunked/dipped) or dry (why?).
You can also get a ton of other food like Iltaco pizza puffs (my fave, which I highly recommend trying if you never have - basically a deep fried tortilla-wrapped sausage pizza), meatball, chicken, steak, and fish sandwiches, Vienna Beef (the best) hot dogs, Polish sausage, gyros, chicken tenders, grilled cheese, tamales, BLTs, a variety of breakfast foods, deep fried appetizers, salads, and soft serve ice cream, shakes, and malts.
Seriously, this place is awesome. And if you're a tourist wanting a genuine Chicago foodie experience, you need to add it to your list.“

“Our hostess was wonderful. And our server (Sevan, I believe) was terrific. Food was awesome. I had the spaghetti di mare and my husband had the chicken piccata. Both were excellent as were their presentations. Definitely worth going to. :) We'll return. :)“

“We were there Saturday for the Roman experience! Not bad there we’re 4 of us. We were celebrating a birthday! Spend $400.00 and you would think they would acknowledge the birthday! No not at all ! No acknowledgment all!!! But I have to say they did say happy birthday!! When we leaving!! What would it cost the restaurant to send a piece of cake over! Maybe 5.00 after we spent 400.00 No more celebration there I tell you!“

“Best pizza I’ve ever had. I love that they sell by the slice so you can try more than one if you want to. Get there hungry, the slices are HUGE! Coca Cola and Sprite in glass bottles went perfectly with the pizza. It really was just like a little NYC pizza shop but with pizza that has more than just the usual toppings.“
