I'm a Chef of many years and have spent a significant amount of time cooking Italian food. Monteverde is easily one of the finest Italian restaurants in Chicago.They are a busy restaurant, and so it is ideal to plan your visit ahead. That being said, the host staff is friendly and will accommodate to the best of their ability. Always delicious! Of all the 100’s of great restaurants in Chicago - this is our favorite! We have never been disappointed with anything we order, and both the atmosphere and service are great too. Love, love, LOVE!
If you’re ever in Chicago or you live there and haven’t been to Monteverde it’s a definite must! My wife and I spent weeks trying to get a reso and finally just ended up waiting outside in the rain at 1130am on a Friday and it was so worth it! Complete experience from ambience, Victor our server and his staff, food, cocktails all exceeded our expectations and made our first trip to Chicago a very memorable one that’s for sure.
