“Excellent food and amazing customer service !Spacca Napoli never disappoints. The ? are amazing! Definitely recommend visiting. Reservations are recommended for an evening visit .They have daily specials and you can order online too for pick up.“
“4.5 stars if Google would allow half stars. We were visiting from Kansas City a d food is for sure our cities thing, so we planned our trip to Chi-Town around food for sure. Little Goat Dinner was on the eater best brunch list, so we had to try it. It for sure lived up to the hype.- Great atmosphere- Kid friendly- Dietary restrictions are doable here- Amazing and even creative foodBrunch can be too sweet or even too heavy. I'm my eyes. Little Goat does a great job at being creative and even detailed about how they present and make their dishes. This is a must!Vegetarian options: Items that would work for sure.Dietary restrictions: They helped me with my dairy issues.Parking: Small parking so plan ahead.Kid-friendliness: Absolutely!Wheelchair accessibility: I do believe it would work here.“
“Really good ice cream. Me and friends went here today since everything was closed and we thought this place would be mid. But, man this ice cream really is good. I would say it’s even on par with basking robins or prolly even way better than that. I would recommend the dark cherry and coconut scoops which was recommended to me by one of the employees. Also, I gotta say this is also the only place in Chicago that is very hospitable and service is amazing. The employees gave us many flavors to try before proceeding with our order.Vegetarian options: Vegan marshmallows“
“Received a recommendation from the staff at our hotel today April 20 2024. We were a 5 minute walk away as we were visiting from Charlotte NC. When we walked in the AROMA AT THE DOOR was INCREDIBLE! They were also very busy which was an indicator that the food at the establishment had to be amazing. We didn’t have a reservation but the bar was available. There were not enough seats but other guests were so nice to slide down and allow us to sit.The bartender Stephanie jumped right in with our drink and food orders. Our food arrived in about 10 minutes! This place is ran like a well oiled machine! The food service and atmosphere was outstanding. My husband ordered the chicken Parmesan with fettuccine Alfredo. I ordered the linguine ali’ aragosta. Both were amazing. The flavors and pasta were literally perfection. The manager was very kind as well. I love when business make an effort to accommodate their guests in the manner that we were accommodated 10/10 would definitely recommend. We had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday early here. We are both pasta lovers. So to have fresh authentic pasta was truly a treat!“
“HandleBar exceeded our expectations! Amazing food, exceptional service, and a wide variety of options for vegetarians and vegans. Don't miss the black bean tostadas, fried avocado grilled cheese, and Pie, Pie My Darling Cake. The Lavender Rosemary Latte is a must-try. Overall, HandleBar is the perfect place for those seeking amazing vegetarian and vegan cuisine.“
“There were so many people that there was a wait of about 40 minutes!I ate on the patio when the weather was nice, the atmosphere was quite nice and the servers were friendly. There are so many pancakes that it's hard to eat them all by yourself! Although there was a lot of food, it was delicious and warm, so I was able to eat a lot without getting tired of it.I ordered a pineapple drink and it was quite short!I am satisfied overall and would like to visit again next time “
“Love to have this breakfast and bunch place at my neighborhood!Kid-friendliness: My son loves their pancakes, fish and chip and the welcoming cakes so much! They even made a watermelon juice out of the menu for him just because he asked for. Coloring, books and toys for their little customers too.“
“Eden, located in Chicago, provided a delightful dining experience for my first visit. Arriving late allowed us to secure a table swiftly. I indulged in a couple of dirty martinis to kickstart the evening, accompanied by the exquisite wagyu tartare, which left my taste buds thoroughly satisfied. For the main course, I opted for the crab bucatini, savoring each delectable bite, while my companion thoroughly enjoyed the flavorful chicken dish. The service was exemplary, and the restaurant exuded cleanliness, with the added luxury of real hand towels in the bathrooms, a detail not often found. The ambiance, with its well-thought-out lighting and decor, further elevated the experience. Overall, Eden offered a memorable dining venture, leaving me eager to return for another culinary adventure.“
“We have been at this restaurant many times and it was always a 4-5 stars on everything. The food was amazing as always. We had the green beens, the short rib dish, the halibut, cheek pea fritters, the pig face, and broccoli. Our favorites were the green beans, halibut, and the short rib. Then we ordered the plantain tres leches (amazing!!!) and the praline dessert. We had great staff bringing the food from the kitchen and explaining all dishes. The only problem was our main waiter, Florentino, who was very aggressive in the way he spoke to us, and was upset when we asked another waiter to add a dish. He also was pushing us to order 10-12 dishes even though we said we’ve been there many times. He spoke to us in a very condescending manner. Overall the food was exceptional. Atmosphere was inviting & fun.“
“Great small bakery. The options may be limited but the quality is high. Follow their Instagram to keep a close eye on their inventory as I hear they typically sell out quick (only so much product can be made for a day's sales).I guess they are known for their Tahini cookies. I've had several items from their menu and I would recommend fulfill your sweet tooth here.First thing I ate were the peanut butter cookies, and boy did it have peanut butter in it - grab a drink to help wash it down! The bakery takes pride in their baked goods and it is well worth their hard work.“
“holy schmokes! this was an absolute treat! Norwegian crab legs are extremely rare && pricey, but it was soooo worth it. Chris was soo knowledgeable and beyond attentive. he really made our experience memorable! I loved the history, atmosphere, food and service. it is pricey but you won't regret it.money WELL SPENT!I'll definitely be back when I come back to visit.tuna tartare- FRESH, bright pink/red deliciousness.oysters- 1/2 dozen 2-2-2Norwegian crab legs - 1.25 lbs fresh and juicymushrooms- I loved the almonds. gave nice texture.drinks: bees knees && prosecco.dessert: little of everything. no wrong answer.“
“I was parking and saw a crowd of people hovering around a storefront like they were waiting for doors to open for the Nordstrom Semi Annual Sale! Thus, I had to walk over and see what all the fuss was about. Tons of people were waiting outside in the cold for pastries. I looked at the menu on the window and noticed all the pastries are gluten free and they have a large selection of vegan options! There were so many vegan options that I bared the cold trying to make a decision. I settled on the vegan brownie. The staff were all friendly and processed orders quickly. While walking, I tasted a piece of the vegan brownie. It was simply, AMAZING! I can’t wait to go back and try other vegan pastry options.“
“This place is delicious and fairly priced. Go for Happy Hour and it’s a helluva deal! The service is friendly and attentive. They are SERIOUS about their reservations so if you’re not serious about punctuality, go somewhere else that’s more casual.“
“My first time trying this place was for lunch today and it was such a good experience! The host was very welcoming and kind, and so was my server. I tried a blueberry bourbon drink that was amazing, and had a bowl of the chili mac that was even better. I had a lovely time and can’t wait to come back!“
“This place is our new favorite for a casual brunch/lunch. We've been a few times now; the food is always out of this world good, we love the setup and service, and enjoy peeking at the grocery & bakery items — we'll have to try those next.“
“Very good brunch spot. Small and cozy but they do take reservations, so we were able to get in with a large group with minimal wait. The food, especially the Spanish omelet was spot on. The potatoes that came with the dishes was excellent.“
“An absolute MUST VISIT for any vegan/vegetarian visiting Chicago. This joint is a thriving institution for a reason: the BEST food served by the friendliest staff in the most casual vibe. My biggest issue is trying to decide what to get because I want everything. Portions are generous and everything tasty. Favorites include the Mexican Scrambled tofu bowl (spicy and savory and bursting with flavor), the Reuben (all the salt and chew you miss from when you ate meat), the biscuits and gravy, and of course the milkshakes. You’ll want to come with friends so you can share and sample more items.Vegetarian options: 100% vegan and their kitchen is nut free (though not their desserts).“
“Absolutely delicious! So light and airy with amazing flavors! Plus friendly service. The lady that helped me was also very sweet to my dog, she even came around to pet her and give her a treat. (She made sure to wash her hands immediately after!) I'll be back!“
“TL;DR - If you’re even slightly thinking about coming here, just do it. Revolution has the best beer in the city, fantastic food, and incredible staff.A lot of breweries in Chicago excel in making their one or two specialty styles of beer, and that’s it. Revolution, on the other hand, is able to guarantee high quality and incredibly drinkable beer across just about every style you can think of. I normally hate those dark, boozy, 15+% ABV beers, yet I drink every single one that Rev puts out and I love it. Their “Hero”-series IPAs will make even the biggest IPA hater second guess their hatred. And their sours (usually released during the summer) are so good, you will question how something this good can be alcoholic. Revolution doesn’t put out a beer that isn’t incredible, so you can pick a beer at random and be sure to enjoy it.Recently, the Brewpub renovated their space and, with it, re-did a lot of their menu. The space is cozy, yet upscale (the seating is significantly comfier than it once was with new plush seating). The new food is also really high quality - much higher than you would expect from a brewery. A lot of detail is put into plating and presentation (Mushrooms & Tofu, for example, looks like a piece of art), and still it tastes somehow even better than it looks. In addition to more upscale menu items, you’re also able to get a lot of that “typical” bar food here that fully delivers (pretzel, cheese curds, fries, etc.). The only gripe I could possibly have here is on the pricing of some of the food. This does not apply to the whole menu though, just some items that feel like they are priced higher than they should be (e.g. Lion’s Mane mushrooms, a starter, costs the same as the Mushrooms & Tofu, an entree, despite being significantly less food and sharing some similar ingredients. Why?!). If you can view this less as a bar and more like a nicer restaurant (which, with the renovation completed, is easy to do), then the pricing is a lot more palatable. The ambiance, food, and drinks are all great, but it’s the staff at Revolution that keeps me coming back though. They’re all so friendly, personable, passionate, and professional - they are the kind of people that make your night out feel special. My fiancé and I have celebrated birthdays, engagements, job offers, anniversaries, and so much more here because of how wonderful the staff are in celebrating and creating such a fun environment to be in. They make Revolution a place we want to go whenever we want to have a good time out. There are just too many people to name (Magnolia, Drake, Erwin, Makenna, Amy, Matt, just to name a few) - but rest assured that we love just about everyone who has served us here. So much so, that my fiancé and I are getting married here later this year! This is the easiest 5 stars I have ever handed out. I have so little to say about places that are “meh”, so the length of this review should show how much I love it here. I’ve come here at least every week for the last 2+ years, and I don’t have any intention of slowing down anytime soon. If you’re still reading this, please stop reading and start drinking, and do it at the Brewpub! You won’t regret it!Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options here. Standouts include the veggie burger (vegan by default), Mushrooms & Tofu (vegan), and a delicious pretzel with beer cheese (vegetarian and oh so good).“
“I have been walking past this place every day since I moved here (I use the CTA Roosevelt Station), but I finally visited Sweet Bean with some friends from out of town and LOVED it. The coffee was good, nothing spectacular, but the pastries are really the unique part. They are self service, and they have sweet and savory pastries - I have tried a few and they were all amazing. 10/10 HIGHLY recommend a visit if you're in the area“
“10 stars?? This place is incredible. The staff are so amazing. The treats are incredible. We missed the cinnamon rolls by about an hour, so we are going to have to go back for those. But everything is gluten free, vegan, and no refined sugars. And you won't miss any of it! The bars are incredible. Each has their own unique flavor and they are totally reasonably priced for what you get. We will definitely be going back. FYI they also ship if you're not local!“
“Love the handy drive-thru. Also love the wheat free options like chocolate chip cookies, biscuit that can substitute some for bread on sandwiches, and other pastries. Lots of pastries. LOVE the scones. Vegetarian options are tasty. Had the Rubén sandwich yesterday and it was awesome. Also love the mission of the facility. Staffed by residents of Misericordia's homes. Decent prices and great taste with a cause!!“
“Was visiting Chicago from Philly and found this restaurant on Google. It was well worth the wait. The food tasted fresh, was hot and tasty. I had the cheese grits, turkey sausage and French toast. Our waitress was attentive and friendly.Kid-friendliness: They had food my 11 year old likes.“
“Super fun joint. A lot of good vibes and reasons to hang around. The food, overall, was tasty, but the pizza left some to be desired. You can tell they put great care and detail into every decision. The pizza just didn't do it for me. Could've been the bold claim of "best cheese pizza in Chicago." I appreciate the bravado, but unfortunately, it came with little fanfare.“
“This may be my new favourite restaurant in Chicagoland — an opinion shared by my family. We enjoyed stellar food. Even by non-vegetarian standards. The Tom Kha soup and spicy eggplant (which also tastes great mild) are fantastic. The curry we tried was also very good. The soy “chicken” has excellent texture and flavour, whether soft or battered. One plate per person is a reasonable serving size.Dietary restrictions: Vegan“
“Israel and his team are dedicated to creating one of the most amazing morning atmospheres in all of Chicago. Besides having one of the city's best croissants, the staff goes above and beyond to ensure a positive experience for all guests - regardless of how busy it can get on peak days. The space is clean and cozy, with excellent music selection and a calm ambiance. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great breakfast spot in the heart of Chicago.“
“This BBQ place is a gem in Chicago, the brisket was tender, well sliced and neatly plated with the rest of the sides. The slaw was a nice free side that I need the recipe for, slaw gets a lot of hate but this was pretty good. Pleasantly surprised we found this place and will definitely go again.“
“Excellent overall food, healthy and tasty. Gerard was an outstanding waiter, friendly, knowledgeable, and patient.I have gluten and dairy allergies, True Food Kitchen has so many options.I highly recommend this restaurant.Dietary restrictions: I have gluten and dairy allergies, True Food Kitchen has so many options.“
“Wish we had this in DC! Hit me up if you want an investor! :-)On business travel and it's always hard to find healthy, convenient food choices. Came here because of the reviews and I have to say, that was one of the best veg bowls I've had, period. I topped it off with the turkey meatballs which were awesome! I also did the tahini and green goddess dressing which was delish! One recommendation, I would have ordered the salmon but it looked dry and like it had been sitting there getting too much air. I would cover it preferably with a clear glass lid. The turkey meatballs were covered and sitting in some broth which kept them fresher. I was there right at closing, which accounts for the lonely salmon. I will be back this week and then some. The roasted beets & carrots were also off the hook BTW.Dietary restrictions: They were very attentive about dietary restrictions.Kid-friendliness: Clean, pretty and spacious location.“
“It was an absolute PLEASURE to deal with James for my Pie day celebration 3/14/24. What better place to cater from for high schoolers than somewhere named Sugar Daddy ? I of course picked up some of their St Patrick’s specialties and I have honestly never had anything I did not like. ❤️ with food allergies nowadays he was incredibly accommodating to my request and very competitively priced.“
“This place is a hidden gem in the Gold Coast. The staff and owners are a pleasure to interact with and they really care about service and their food. I’m a fan of so many items and their chocolate is the best I’ve ever tasted. Bread is excellent because they take their time. Pastries are just as great! Hendrickx is a real treat.“
“The space is small. If there's over 7 or 8 people in line or waiting for orders, you begin to feel a little cramped. The space was clean. The menu is pretty simple. I like that they have visuals of their products in little cases by the register. Pricing is a bit on the higher end. I spent almost $18 for 3 items.I opted for a cinnamon butter brioche, a 2 chip chocolate chip cookie, and the lemon cookie. The brioche was good, nice and fluffy, not too sweet. However, the flavor of the cinnamon was very underwhelming and almost too light. The bread is very thick, and if you bite into it without pulling the 2 pieces apart, you barely taste the cinnamon. I figured out that pulling the 2 sides apart was the best way to eat the bun so I could taste the cinnamon. There's also not much of the cinnamon butter on the inside. I wouldn't buy it again. The cookies are VERY dense. 1 cookie is more than enough for 3-4 people. You literally only need a piece of the cookie. The chocolate chip was ok. Not too sweet, plenty of chocolate chips, crispy on the edges and bottom, but very soft and cakey on the inside. I think it needs a pinch of flaky salt to really set off the flavor. I'd buy again. The lemon cookie stole the show! It was absolutely amazing. The base of the cookie smells like a sugar or butter cookie, and there's a lemon filling inside. OMG! I'd go back over and over again for that lemon cookie. It was served warm, and it was just perfect. I wouldn't take anything away or add anything.I'll be back before the spring is over for the lemon cookie and to try the other treats.Parking: Spaces are few and far between. Randolph is a very bury, high traffic street, especially when the weather is nice.“
“Visited Rica for dinner with the family. At first I thought the prices were a little high, until I saw how much they stuffed into the arepa and patacon. The margarita special ($6) was an okay value, although we were convinced that it's just Costco premixed margarita (they are clear that the HH marg is NOT their normal marg).Would definitely go again.“
“Group of 4 for dinner, fabulous experience starting with Jeanette who got us seated and set up with menu and drinks. Very attentive service by the whole team. Great menu selection, well prepared and presented. Looking forward to our next visit! Thanks for reading.“
“I usually order for takeout and they don't disappoint. Their meat sampler is very tasty and sambusa is included too. I had sides of vegetables for the meat sampler. The meat is soft and tender as it was slow cooked and boiled egg added in my meal. It has a spice to it which generally complimented with the injera and meat. I've tried their tea as well and their dessert. I definitely would recommend this place.“
“I couldn’t visit Chicago without visiting Fab Cakes! This cafe is spacious and perfect for work or study with ample seating, outlets, calming music and just the right amount of white noise. They have a full menu that’s affordable and delicious. You can’t go wrong with any sweet or savory pick, and everything is made in-house. As if that wasn’t enough, the owner and employees are beyond sweet and there’s adorable hand-drawn art. No Apple Pay here, but other payments (cash, card) accepted. Thank you for a wonderful stay! I got the Breakfast Wrap, YUM, and a cinnamon pastry— one of the best pastries I’ve ever had!!“
“OH MY GOD THIS PLACE MAKES HEAVEN. My favorites: - any of the savory meat croissants - egg sandwich - any of the meat strombolis - salted caramel donut - gingersnap molasses cookie - twice-baked almond croissant - vegan dark chocolate banana bread with pecans - Two falls ago there was this amazing apple cider bearclaw donut thing. I haven't seen it since in the pastry case, but I can still taste its awesomeness in my mouth and hope it will one day return. Everything here is so moist and magical. For me, what sets Mindy's Bakery apart from other bakeries, and makes it clear why Mindy won the Beard award for Outstanding Chef in the US, is that Mindy and crew are always working to improve their craft, always using quality ingredients and making better versions of things all the time and I respect this so much. Also, when you come in through the door, you can see everyone behind the counter, working hard, baking during open hours, and helping you pick things out of the big case in front. They are awesome. If you're from out of town, know there's rarely a line out the door on Wed, Thurs or Fri, but Sat and Sun are busy, so do what I do and bring your kindle or paper to read while you wait in line. It is always worth the wait.“
“Food: amazing. Drinks: amazing. Service: amazing. Ambiance: amazing. Really though. The wings are huge so you’re actually getting your money’s worth for once. Pizza is fantastic (think cheese-pull) and their selection of beers seltzers and ciders is impressive for a place this size! Our server, Shawn, was so attentive and covered all the menus for us! Even recommended adding chorizo to their poblano corn dip, which was a total game changer. 100% worth a stop in if you haven’t been yet! Sit by their fireplace!“
“This is a really cute little coffee spot. I had no idea this was here until now, but I'm super glad to have found it! Great coffee from people who care about coffee. The owners were running the shop and were super friendly and open to chatting about the shop. I got a free drink with the beans I picked up too!“
“By far the best food we've had in Lake Geneva! Kid's breakfast was generous, and the adult breakfast options were delicious, as well as filling. Our only complaint is that we didn't find this sooner--we would have eaten here every meal! The service is prompt, place is clean and bright.“
“The service was good! They were nice and very helpful with guiding you where drinks, napkins, and utensils were without you asking. It was helpful. I ordered a criossant, carrot cake, and a coffee. Criossant was on the crunchy side inside and out. If you like that then that's it, but for me, I prefer a crunchy from outside and soft on inside, but not bad. Drink was a vanilla latte, and it was good because it was not too sweet. The carrot cake, the presentation was nice! Taste of the cake could've been better, but the cream of the cake made it worth having! Lastly, I want to say this definitely is a great spot for a date quiet enough to talk without too loud and music level perfect! :) I'd return to try other pastries and drinks next time!“
“Unexpectedly medium good coffee. Little bit of a bitter "robusta" beans flavor. Metropolis usually sells mass market coffee that is no good. Many varieties of signature drinks ?. They have many pastry like a donuts and muffins. The coffee shop is not cozy and not convenient.“
“Book in advance if you want a dine in. Even during the week, this place is a hot spot. It is a great atmosphere. Our server was on top of our order even though he was super busy. The patatas and garlic shrimp are delicious. I wasn't impressed with the bass and the seafood paella was okay.Vegetarian options: Slim pickings for vegetarians. As the menu is more meat heavy. But there still are options.“
“Josh was very kind and patient helped me to my 1st time eating at p.f Chang's to go and I must say the Mongolian chicken bowl was filling delicious and he made sure I had everything I needed to enjoy the dish before returning to Michigan ❤️“
“I don't live in Chicago but make a point to stop here (usually multiple times) on every work trip. I love making a custom bowl, every ingredient is so fresh and delicious and the flavors all pair really well! Obsessed is an understatement!!!!“
“Can’t say it enough, everything we had here was amazing! Started off with the (warm) seafood tower, which was incredible. Our server suggested one of the Wagyu steaks and that was amazing. Cocktails were great. Just everything. Epic spot.“
“My fiancé and I were visiting chicago for the marathon weekend. Our friend friend who lives local recommended Takito Kitchen based on the great experiences he has had there in the past. The owner himself is a UCF alum just like everyone in our group, so he came to our table to introduce himself and we had a great conversation. He was so friendly and our waitress Alma was amazing as well! So sweet and very helpful/ knowledgeable. An overall great experience! We will be back next time we are in town and we will recommend all of our friends here as well!“
“So good! Served up food for 5 people to go in about 20 minutes and every person was super happy with their food! Our favorite place in the neighborhood. Update: still the best place in the neighborhood. Update 2: still our fave, Burger of the week this week (2/8/24) was SO GOOD!“
“I ordered through Postmates recently, and the food is amazing, so I decided to come in today! The decor is so lovely and the service is great as well. I'm so glad I got to dine in. Their outside patio is cute, and they have lots of seating available inside/ out. It was pretty busy. I can't wait to come back and enjoy. New favorite place! Their vegetarian and vegan options are amazing.Vegetarian options: They can sub egg with vegan egg, they also have beyond sausage, non diary alternatives and more!“
“Bloom has become my favorite place to grab brunch in Wicker Park on Sundays! Stunning atmosphere, incredibly thoughtful, kind, attentive staff, and the food consistently blows me away! This weekend I went with a friend and we shared their Avocado Toast special which was an easy 10/10. Their Caesar Salad is always a must (and a tasty way to sneak in greens with brunch). The star of the show for me is always the Tempeh Ranchero Omelette - it nearly brings me to tears every single time (it's that GREAT)!! It was nearly 70 degrees outside and we sat right in the window with them open and it was glorious. If you're looking for a great spot for a girl's brunch, date night, or foodie spot in Chicago, this is an absolute MUST!“
