“We drove from Genoa City Wisconsin because we heard how delicious everything was. We were NOT disappointed. The meat on our sandwiches, one corned beef and one pastrami, was piled high! Homemade brined pickles and bakery items exceeded our expectations. Worth the drive and we will be back.“

“The kitchen is not operational on Sunday, so if you want to see it staffed come during the week. We made Carmel/Chocolate coated apples, chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered Oreo cookies, and mixed the ingredients to make a chocolate bar. All is included with your tour purchase. The prices for any other chocolate or candies you purchase was better than most bigger name stores. This is a small shop but their quality is very good!“

“I had mixed feelings about my visit to Port of Peri Peri. The food was honestly excellent and full of flavor, so I have no complaints about the quality of the meal itself.

However, the customer service really let the experience down. The staff didn't seem friendly or welcoming, and when I asked questions, they either didn't respond properly or didn't seem interested in helping. The dining area also looked like it needed more attention—several tables were greasy and didn't appear to be cleaned promptly, which made eating in feel a bit unhygienic.

If you're planning to try this place, I'd recommend ordering takeout instead of dining in. The food is definitely worth trying, but I think the overall dine-in experience and cleanliness could use significant improvement.This keeps the review balanced by praising the food while clearly describing the issues you experienced.“

You thought you've had it all, that Chicago couldn't possibly have yet ANOTHER banger in Wicker Park, but i'll be damned, here we are. The cracklin' shrimp is so well done, I would eat a bowl of it. Lemony, spicy, deep fried deliciousness. The half chicken was among the best I've ever had (whatever that green sauce was, was KILLING IT) not to mention my wife's elote lasagna?!?! “I recently was visiting Chicago and as a habit, I searched for Best Gluten Free bakery and discovered Defloured. What an amazing place. As a Celiac, finding good GF baked goods is rare to find. Wow what a selection. I purchased a chocolate cupcake, two love pucks, cinnamon rolls, poppy lemon bread, baguette, and aNutella sandwich cookie. Everything was really delicious. I mean world class quality. I now plan on making regular visits to Chicago so I can load up and fill my freezer with possibly the best GF baked goods in the U.S. I’ve tried a lot.“

“So this place was absolutely a great experience for us! I used to come here when I was younger. Now I'm able to bring my child here simply because they have non-dairy and peanut free options. When I initially called the woman that answered was so patient and even mentioned that when I arrived, I could ask the worker to please wash the serving spoon. So when we got there we were immediately greeted, and we explained that our child had allergies, they showed us the options and gave us samples to try we asked that the spoon be washed and without hesitation they did so. Good ice cream, great atmosphere and options for everyone. We will continue to come here. My 4 year old loved the lightning clouds on your ceiling. 🙂“

“OH! Are you in for a TREAT when you dine here. The food is sensational. We have traveled all of the world and lived all over the United States. The cuisine here is unique and out of this world. The recipes are unique to this restaurant. We have eaten at other Ethiopian restaurants. They do not even register next to this one. The Proprietor is SOOOOO nice. And, ask him what brought him to the United States. It's an emotionally moving story. If you haven't had Ethiopian cuisine before, it is NOT scary. There are hardy vegetarian and meatatarian dishes. So, there's something for everyone. And, the dishes that are spicy are mild. So, don't worry about your sensitive belly. The meal is a SHARED experience. So, make sure you bring friends. They will thank you afterwards for sure☺“

“Everything about these macaroons was great. Flavor and texture were spot on. We had Pistachio, Earl Grey, Lemon Lavender and Strawberry Chocolate ones. Earl Grey is a must if you like tea flavor remotely. Store attendent was nice, friendly, and provided recs. These were the best macaroons we've had so far in Chicago. Just go in, don't hesistate!!“

“I had heard Monti's was the best place to get a Philly in Chicago, and since I've been craving one lately, I had to give it a try. I can honestly say it's the best Philly I've had in Chicago and the surrounding areas. It definitely did not disappoint.
I ordered mine with extra mayo and white American cheese, and it was absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly, the service was great, and the whole experience lived up to the hype. I highly recommend giving Monti's a try if you're looking for an authentic Philly cheesesteak!“

“This is not technically a review of their baked goods, which are undeniably amazing and baked with love as you’ll see in this story. Jennivee's Bakery , LLC’s AMAZING staff saved my dogs life!! This past Friday, one of the owners, Andres, the bakery staff, and an amazing group of dedicated bystanders rescued my dog, Mo, who had run off in Oz Park and was missing and in danger for hours prior to his rescue. After seeing Mo dart into traffic multiple times, this amazing group of strangers was able to corner him, and Andres bravely was able to grab him. He and the team at Jennivee’s then sheltered him and calmed him as long as it took and were ultimately able to bring him to Bond Vet who scanned his microchip and got in touch with me. My dogs are basically my kids. I pour allllll of my love into them. I still can’t believe how lucky we got and how close of a call this was. We’re shaken but relieved and endlessly grateful to Andres and everyone at Jennivee’s!!! Run don’t walk to get yourself some amazing treats and support this incredible business and the people in it!!!!“
