“We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at the Lake Forest location when we were in town for our daughter's U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command graduation. By far the best place we ate when we were in the Chicagoland area. I gave it a nod in my book and encourage anyone visiting Great Lakes to stop there with their sailor during liberty.“

“I wanted to give this location props for their lunch on 8/17. Walking in around 1pm, I could tell they had had their butts handed to them and were obviously understaffed. However, in my perspective they were handling the hangry customers very well, were staying calm and the staff that was present seemed to know what they were doing. The only reason for 4 stars is because and (this has happened more than once at this location) rather than suggesting I try my Pesto Cavatappi with pork, they tell me it comes with pork, which is not true. There is an additional charge for any meat on this bowl.“

“It was a beautiful evening the window was up and we sat right next to the screen. It was a lovely setting. Julie was our waitress and her service was outstanding. The food was beyond description. We had an eggplantParmesan, lollipop, lamb chops a Delmonico steak and a side salad. Everything was fantastic. Side salad was huge and delicious, steak was done to perfection, an eggplant Parmesan was very tasty and we could've shared a dish because it was so huge. Thank you for making our weekend even better.“

“Wildberry Pancakes and Cafe has got to hands down be the best food I have had in my 32 years of life. We just got home from a girls trip for my daughter's golden birthday in Chicago this past weekend and I'm ready to hit the road to go back. She ordered the kids Oreo s'mores pancakes of the kid menu. I got the 2 eggs meal which came with 2 eggs, hash browns, choice of meat (got sausage links) and either toast or pancakes. I chose toast. We then ordered her 2 dippy eggs, a side of biscuits and gravy, and got a side of bacon to share. The biscuits and gravy are hands down top tier the best recipe I have ever tasted (I ended up ordering 2 more sides to take home so I would have breakfast tomorrow 🤤). Even after stuffing ourselves with this delicious food none of our group felt miserable in any way. there was no belly discomfort whatsoever. We just felt full and nourished. I will be coming back as often as I can. The food is so hot, so fresh, so flavorful, and overall it was a wonderful experience. Everybody was so friendly , smiley, and just warm personalities. There is quite a wait on Sundays (not sure about other days) but I would wait 4 hours if they told me I had to. They do have an option where you can get on the waiting list online (we did not know that since this was out first time). Now let's talk about their preserves they make in house 🫠🫠 they make a triple berry compote with blackberries, strawberries, and raspberries. It was literal heaven. They sell jars as you are leaving for $11. Guys you have to try this place. I'm not usually someone who leaves reviews but it's so good I can't not leave one. If you want the best brunch food you have ever had in your life I can promise you you WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. Until next time wildberry keep doing what you guys do!“

“The kitchen is not operational on Sunday, so if you want to see it staffed come during the week. We made Carmel/Chocolate coated apples, chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered Oreo cookies, and mixed the ingredients to make a chocolate bar. All is included with your tour purchase. The prices for any other chocolate or candies you purchase was better than most bigger name stores. This is a small shop but their quality is very good!“

I must have called 6 times changing the number of people and requesting a round table and they were so patient and accommodating. I'm sorry I don't remember the names I spoke with on the phone but they were wonderful. Our server Miguel was great, we wanted for nothing and the room we were in was outstanding. I saw the specials online. They were not on their handout menu so you may have to ask for them. The short rib wrap was delicious. Loaded tator tots were too intriguing to pass up. Generous portion enough for three or four. Delightfully cheesy . Like nachos but with tots instead of chips. Burger was greasy but otherwise fine. Sweet potatoe fries looked dark, like the oil needed cleaning but tasted fine. Service was fast and friendly. Unique choices. Try it.“

“How crazy is this. Going to Sunset Foods I saw this sign in the window of a storefront to the West. Fortunately I found BRIGHT BOWLS owned and operated by a Highland Parker named Lindsay. I can’t describe the ambiance and wonderful products. You need to experience on your own. My favorite so far is the LoveABowl. Enjoy on site or to go. “It is so refreshing to meet an owner who is actively present in his restaurant. Mark Salmon enthusiastically and creatively arranged for my friend and I to dine outside (our request), despite the rain. We stayed dry under umbrellas and thanks to Sandra, our amazing waitress, we celebrated my birthday with fine food (impressive menu choices and food presentation) and great company! It was my first time dining at 501 Local and this restaurant met and exceeded my high standards in every way! It is a hidden gem and our new fav restaurant. Highly recommend!!“

“My first time ever trying Thai food, my husband has always been a fan. I am now hooked, this place is amazing. I knew it had to be good when I pulled up to a restaurant attached to a home kitchen. We ordered the Beef noodle soup spice level 2, chicken pad thai spice level 3, order of sticky buns, crispy egg rolls and crab rangoon. Everything was amazing. Tender beef in the soup, fresh not canned crunchy sprouts, rich broth. My husband loved the heat and fresh veggies in his pad thai. Even after sitting in the bag for about 30 minutes after pick up the rangoons were perfectly crunchy thanks to the venting on the container they put them in. Perfect portions, quality, great price, clean, all staff wearing masks, multiple carry out options in terms of curb side pick up, going in, delivery etc. Highly highly highly recommend. Cannot wait for our next take out/date night.“
