I recently was visiting Chicago and as a habit, I searched for Best Gluten Free bakery and discovered Defloured. What an amazing place. As a Celiac, finding good GF baked goods is rare to find. Wow what a selection. I purchased a chocolate cupcake, two love pucks, cinnamon rolls, poppy lemon bread, baguette, and aNutella sandwich cookie. Everything was really delicious. The staff provide friendly, professional, and thoughtful service. The London Fog Cookies and Nutella Sandwich Cookies are favorites, along with delicious Carrot Cake and Challah bread. Even non-GF friends won't realize it's all gluten-free. A high-quality spot in the neighborhood loved by many. This bakery makes treats that are virtually indistinguishable from wheat flour versions. Every single thing is delicious and there are a ton of options for everyone. It is a very small carry out location, but everything they sell is worth it. The food is outstanding and they will try to accommodate your request.
