Wow what a selection. I purchased a chocolate cupcake, two love pucks, cinnamon rolls, poppy lemon bread, baguette, and aNutella sandwich cookie. Everything was really delicious. I mean world class quality. I now plan on making regular visits to Chicago so I can load up and fill my freezer with possibly the best GF baked goods in the U.S. I’ve tried a lot.“

The recipes are unique to this restaurant. We have eaten at other Ethiopian restaurants. They do not even register next to this one. The Proprietor is SOOOOO nice. And, ask him what brought him to the United States. It's an emotionally moving story. If you haven't had Ethiopian cuisine before, it is NOT scary. There are hardy vegetarian and meatatarian dishes. So, there's something for everyone. And, the dishes that are spicy are mild. So, don't worry about your sensitive belly. The meal is a SHARED experience. So, make sure you bring friends. When I finally walked the I was greeted by the nice and knowledgeable staff. My savory dish was the bacon brioche and it was phenomenal! Crispy on the outside but soft in the inside. My first sweet bite was the salted caramel brown butter blondie brownie. It was delicious! They even let you choose a center or corner piece. My favorite pastry was the banana pudding croissant, it was even better than I thought it would be. I also got the basque cheesecake which was well prepared but the time I went they had peanut butter on it which I’m not a fan of. But I’m willing to try it again when they have a different flavor. Such a great bakery, will definitely come back.“

“Always loved their Greek pastries, they are the best, started going to them 60 yrs ago with my mom and dad. We were always going to Hellas for our parties baptisms and weddings. All our holiday needs were easily available for us. Unfortunately, we moved out to Poplar Grove, Illinois near Belvedere and have missed them greatly. “Everything about these macaroons was great. Flavor and texture were spot on. We had Pistachio, Earl Grey, Lemon Lavender and Strawberry Chocolate ones. Earl Grey is a must if you like tea flavor remotely. Store attendent was nice, friendly, and provided recs. These were the best macaroons we've had so far in Chicago. Just go in, don't hesistate!!“

“I had heard Monti's was the best place to get a Philly in Chicago, and since I've been craving one lately, I had to give it a try. I can honestly say it's the best Philly I've had in Chicago and the surrounding areas. It definitely did not disappoint.
I ordered mine with extra mayo and white American cheese, and it was absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly, the service was great, and the whole experience lived up to the hype. I highly recommend giving Monti's a try if you're looking for an authentic Philly cheesesteak!“

“This is not technically a review of their baked goods, which are undeniably amazing and baked with love as you’ll see in this story. Jennivee's Bakery , LLC’s AMAZING staff saved my dogs life!! This past Friday, one of the owners, Andres, the bakery staff, and an amazing group of dedicated bystanders rescued my dog, Mo, who had run off in Oz Park and was missing and in danger for hours prior to his rescue. After seeing Mo dart into traffic multiple times, this amazing group of strangers was able to corner him, and Andres bravely was able to grab him. He and the team at Jennivee’s then sheltered him and calmed him as long as it took and were ultimately able to bring him to Bond Vet who scanned his microchip and got in touch with me. My dogs are basically my kids. I pour allllll of my love into them. I still can’t believe how lucky we got and how close of a call this was. We’re shaken but relieved and endlessly grateful to Andres and everyone at Jennivee’s!!! Run don’t walk to get yourself some amazing treats and support this incredible business and the people in it!!!!“

This Christmas, I decided to try their take-n-bake kouign-amann; and OMG my family and I were IN LOVE with the Ham & Gruyere kouign-amann!
