Best bakery in the city
Bagels and banana coffee cake for breakfast. Incredibly good. Service was fast and polite. Strong recommendation. Definitely coming back when I am in Chicago again.

Mindy's Bakery serves absolutely delicious treats, including the vodka sauce, basil and Parmesan bialy and labneh cheesecake danish. The baked goods change every day, and there are no bad choices; most pastries are hits, such as the raspberry rugelach, Stromboli, quiche, and the best bagels in the city. While some items, like the challah, may be bland, the hot chocolate is nearly perfect, and it is a great time to enjoy it, especially now that it's hot chocolate season. Customers often mention that the almond croissant and bagels with homemade pesto cream cheese are outstanding. The bakery is a grab-and-go place with no indoor seating, just a bar to stand at outside. Be prepared for a possible wait on Sundays, as there is usually a long line, but it goes fast and it's worth it. It's best to go early, as many items sell out daily. Popular drinks include the banana bread iced latte, which many customers love and think about often, and the banana bread cold brew, which is perfect for the fall season.
