“Amazing breakfast spot that was a random find while in the area. Great service and really cute atmosphere. Kids meals are free with adult purchase & the portions of my son’s teddy bear pancakes were huge! Actually portions of everything is huge. The churro French toast was incredibly delicious and included as a side to my omelette…small upcharge well worth it!! If ever in the area again it will be a must to to revisit!“

The service is quite lacking here tho. If you do an online order for pickup, expect for something to go wrong. I’ve had multiple orders be late by 20+ minutes, or I get my order home and it’s completely wrong. I recommend just waiting in the line to order in person.“

“I love this place and I love Giant. The crust is great, good texture and flavorful, and the cheese they use is top notch. Pepperonis were also high quality, if there’s a problem it lies with the sauce. There's hardly any, not even close to enough on either their tavern or NY style. Order the NY style with extra sauce. The tavern is so thin that there’s barely any room for sauce, if you care. Still solid tavern.“

“On the evening of July 5 my wife and I tried Avaspi on Belmont Avenue in Lakeview for the first time. It will not be the last! I love lamb and am quite particular as to how is it prepared. The “lamb delight” menu item was the best lamb I have ever had in a restaurant: tender, succulent, and prepared to perfection. The side salad accompanying it was not your ordinary side salad! My wife and I both enjoyed the Mixed Meze appetizer plate. Each of the five items was quite good but the muhammara was to die for. We ended our meal with tea, baklava and kubralice. The décor and ambience were refreshing and relaxing, and the service was outstanding. The pricing was very reasonable. Please give it a try. We do not think you will be disappointed.“

“I absolutely love BB seafood! I use to go to the one on Randolph, but I no longer work in the city so today I took the Metra to the one that’s just a 5 minute walk from the OTC station and this location did not disappoint. I love their veggie blend, the juice that they put on it makes it a 10/10 & it’s honestly the reason I come here. I usually get the salmon with the veggie blend but today I tried the grains and I was not a fan, so Kim and Jose made it right. Kim is so pleasant, attentive and had great customer service. I can see why Jose won the “extra mile” award, he remade my meal which was totally unexpected but very much appreciated and him going the extra mile for me means I’ll keep going the extra miles on the Metra for my Brown Bag. Jose was very personable, kind and helpful. Thank you!

Family-owned businesses are typically the ones that have the best food because they do not necessarily look into mainstreaming menus and recipes. with smaller restaurants, you can typically find amazing price opportunities as well as some unique food that has not been released to the broad market. It almost makes locations like this become a treasure if you come across them. Huge shout-out for Lola's. Amazing dogs, burgers, shakes! give them a try when you get the chance. We’ve ordered quality Thanksgiving meals for him from other sources when he was living in Wisconsin. However, he said this meal was definitely better. Bonus points to catering manager (Tiffany) for helping to button-up the details and close the deal. We will definitely order again, next year.
