“Today was the first time I have ever Ben in a Portillo’s Restaurant, first time I have ever had an Italian beef sandwich. I have a Lotta friends in Fort Myers who go all the way to Tampa to get this sandwich and they continue to tell me how good it is. So this evening we decided to go to Portillo since I was visiting on my grandkids and my daughter and son-in-law, I really enjoyed that Italian beef sandwich. There are a lot of other good things on the menu, but that was what I was there for. Unfortunately, they do not have a Portillo’s Station FortnMyer Florida. I can only hope that one day they will build it there.“

“I got the lunch special Kung pao it came with an appetizer which I chose veggie rolls (2) they was too good that I forgot to take a Pic of them. The Kung pan is amazing fresh and with savory flavor. Definitely going back to try other items on the menu.“

“Honestly the most organized, fast, clean and airy and sunny Panera around. I have sip membership and I parked myself at this Skokie Panera for the most day when I work from home. I over hear some of the most genuine conversations from people who gather here to meet friends regularly. There tend to be a lot of senior and influential retirees there talking about important topics if you listen and watch people. It’s such a great “third” place for me and many. Thank you store managers for running such tight ship. Every employee there is always helpful and courteous and smiling. It makes it very easy to want to be surrounded yourself here when you just want to put your heads down and keep the coffee flowing…“

“I have been going there since it has been open. Really great sandwiches every single time. I love their idea of running every sandwich through their big toaster oven. There sweet reats are to die for! Especially the sugar cookies and dream bars! My classic order is a big wreck, on wheat, with all the trimmings minus the hot peppers. If you haven't been, it beats Subway any day of the week.

“Panera Bread became my favorite family dine-out, sub and salad joint, when we lived at Great Lakes Navy Housing and my husband worked in Deerfield, IL, back in 2005. My most memorable meal is the Greek Salad next to the Apple Cranberry Salad... Their Panini sandwiches are delicious too! All food is freshly made daily, and at the end of the day, they gave their daily baked goods to their last paying customers on that day. Not sure if they did that regularly or as a generous gesture since we were a young military family of 5. Either way, I recommend Panera Bread!“

Kids meals are free with adult purchase & the portions of my son’s teddy bear pancakes were huge! Actually portions of everything is huge. The churro French toast was incredibly delicious and included as a side to my omelette…small upcharge well worth it!! If ever in the area again it will be a must to to revisit!“

“My daughter brought me here on our short weekend visit to Chicago. I was so impressed with the multi-cultural menu. I tried Arancini for the first time!! I was so excited 😊. The owner/chef was there and he was so wonderful!! Great service and extended to us samples of the yummy 😋 curry sauce and gave us the delicious corn salad to try. I had to have one more Arancini to try so I went with the African one that was perfect for me. Spiced nicely and flavorful. We love this and these people who have hearts open to different cultures in deed and food!!“

“On the evening of July 5 my wife and I tried Avaspi on Belmont Avenue in Lakeview for the first time. It will not be the last! I love lamb and am quite particular as to how is it prepared. The “lamb delight” menu item was the best lamb I have ever had in a restaurant: tender, succulent, and prepared to perfection. The side salad accompanying it was not your ordinary side salad! My wife and I both enjoyed the Mixed Meze appetizer plate. Each of the five items was quite good but the muhammara was to die for. We ended our meal with tea, baklava and kubralice. The décor and ambience were refreshing and relaxing, and the service was outstanding. The pricing was very reasonable. Please give it a try. We do not think you will be disappointed.“

“The concept for the menu is a unique trip along the Pan-American highway with stops at various Latin countries. Each dish and drink is thoughtful in its ingredients and presentation. The jicama salad was refreshing, but not at all plain. The pastel de choclo was a wonderful surprise of a warm dish. The frozen el arenal was seriously dangerous in how delicious it was, I can’t recommend it enough. The atmosphere was beautiful and the music was perfect. We are so thrilled to have this gem in the neighborhood and can’t wait to see what they do in the future!“

Came to BROWN bag seafood for a quick bite before checking into my hotel. Inquired with the host about food recommendations. She recommended the lobster roll or the fish and chips. Giving such a great description of the lobster roll I went with it. I was not disappointed. The tater tots were cooked to perfection and the lobster roll was delicious. Definitely try some of the boss sauce as well! Even left with some Swedish fish!

“Cool cafe with a bunch of eclectic nicknacks and wall art. I got the goat cheese crostini which comes with a side of roasted tomato relish. It was good but it didn’t blow my socks off. It almost seemed like it was missing just one extra ingredient or garnish to take it to the next level.

I also got the chicken club and it was good. The star of the sandwich was definitely the bread. You can tell this place knows what they’re doing when it comes to making bread.“
