Atmosphere is adequate, but the food is excellent, and I have spent several months in Uzbekistan before. The plov (rice pilaf) is excellent and reminds me of my time in Central Asia from decades ago.“

“My wife and I started eating at Original Pancake House in Honolulu in 1979 or 1980. The first thing I ordered was the 49er Ooey Gooey Thin and Chewy Pancakes with the Homemade Tropical sauce. (I lost my Beautiful Wife the early morning hours after Christmas 2025, so my son and I are visiting my sister and my brother-in-law in Chicago.)
Today, my taste buds thought they were getting that first ever plate of those Wonderful Pancakes! Three plate sized thin, Ooey and Gooey pancakes to make your mouth desire them every morning!
We also shared the Apple Jack (another OPH specialty).
We have enjoyed the Walker Brothers Original Pancake House when we come back to Chicago and I think this was my best experience yet!

Overall, my experience today with Cafe Zupas Schaumburg has been stellar and I'll be ordering from them (directly, no more GrubHub) frequently and encouraging my coworkers and clients to do the same. “I wanted to give this location props for their lunch on 8/17. Walking in around 1pm, I could tell they had had their butts handed to them and were obviously understaffed. However, in my perspective they were handling the hangry customers very well, were staying calm and the staff that was present seemed to know what they were doing. The only reason for 4 stars is because and (this has happened more than once at this location) rather than suggesting I try my Pesto Cavatappi with pork, they tell me it comes with pork, which is not true. There is an additional charge for any meat on this bowl.“
