“This was absolutely the most inhaleable italian beef I had during my stay in Chicago. Their au jus was also thick with spices so no wonder the italian beef is so delicious here. They were so nice, engaged with everyone, and my son loved the men working and he’s two so he loved doing fist bumps and they even cut his chicken tenders up for me so they would cool faster. “Cool cafe with a bunch of eclectic nicknacks and wall art. I got the goat cheese crostini which comes with a side of roasted tomato relish. It was good but it didn’t blow my socks off. It almost seemed like it was missing just one extra ingredient or garnish to take it to the next level.

I also got the chicken club and it was good. The star of the sandwich was definitely the bread. You can tell this place knows what they’re doing when it comes to making bread.“

“I come here often for Vietnamese iced coffee and Thai iced tea - they make the best of both of these that I’ve had in the city.

The curry chicken banh mi is very good. The lemongrass chicken though was very dry and could use something to make the bites go down easier, but that’s my one and only complaint about anything from here“

“Masterpiece sandwiches and cookies. I highly recommend the Taste of Chicago Sandwich (perfectly spicy). Mary the owner catered our wedding party for us, and it was probably the best food we had all weekend. They were able to provide Vegan and Gluten Free versions of almost all of their main menu items, which delighted our dietary-restricted guests. Highly recommend both eating at the cute restaurant and getting them to cater for you!!“

Order extra sauce and dont get mad if they charge for it because the sandwich is great without it but it’s FANTABULOUS w the extra sauce for dipping. This is not a sandwich you have and think you can finish it or the rest of your to-do list! You will need a quiet corner afterwards!! 10/10 best food, service and atmosphere! “I stopped by here for takeout over the weekend and they were totally dead! No customers at all when I stopped in around 4 or 5p (understandably not peak time).

Ordering was through a kiosk which I don't love but it made it somewhat easier to peruse the menu. The pricing for the combo meals was super confusing - the combo meal was about the same price as a sandwich and fries, but the photo showed that you get a drink as well (paper menus confirmed that you DO get a drink) but then there was no customizer for the drink so I'm still not sure if you get a drink with the combo. I wasn't craving fries, so I went with just a sandwich. There was a woman cleaning behind the counter, but she didn't offer to explain the menu or help me in any way.

I got the Banh Mi Chicken Sandwich and it was tasty! They definitely don't hold back on the heat and all of the toppings were pretty banh mi inspired. The sandwich itself was huge and a mess to eat, so I appreciated that they included plastic gloves.

The restaurant design is clean, modern and cozy. There are a lot of empty drink coolers though which made me sort of confused on whether or not this was supposed to be more grab and go? Or maybe they are pivoting concepts? The menu itself seemed to be latching on to a lot of trends (Chicken sandwich trend and then several different types of asian cuisine) so perhaps it's an evolving menu.

All gripes aside, I am glad this place is here! There are too many vacancies on this stretch of Belmont, so here's hoping they are in for the long haul!“

“Their tomato bisque soup is the best I’ve had. I shoulda gotten the large. Expected a something red, puréed, and hot to get me through this rainy fall day. It’s creamy, smooth, right amount of cheese and tender veggies to make it a moment. I wanna eat this everyday.

Eggplant parm is also perfect. Crunchy, chewy, hearty, choice of giardiniera, mmm! I’ll try the veggie sub next.

“This subway has been one of the greatest customer and food services I have had the pleasure to patronize. I stopped going to this subway years ago because of poor ownership and service. I refused to eat at this subway due to incompetence. Once new ownership arrived at this location, it was a completely different experience. The workers were cordial and friendly, the food quality was much improved, and the environment was much more welcoming. The new owner did an amazing job turning that subway around for the better. They also asked how my daughter was doing when she was in the hospital. We visit this subway often I would highly recommend this subway to anyone in Chicago. This subway is the gold standard of franchises that all others should model after.“

“One of my go to lunch spots. Great mom and pop sandwich shop run by Koreans! I will say there is a bit of a wait for your food but only when there's a lot of people during the lunch rush. Worth it everytime, I usually get the torpedo with everything on it. Also one of the best tomato soups!!“
