Also, I got the Bombay Chulet which was a great portion sizes for one person or even two people who aren’t starving. The ingredients were fresh and the bread was delicious. “Love both locations I've visited: Lakeview and Wicker Park. Do wish they'd bring back the grilled cheese with ham and bacon. Only problem I've had is the extremely loud music. I visit at least once a month, and the music is always too loud to have a conversation. Stopped meeting up with friends because we can't hear each other.“

“This is a small neighborhood restaurant with excellent service and food. There is a nice selection of sandwiches. The daily specials which usually include a homemade soup with fresh bread are delicious and priced very economically. They also have homemade breads and deserts, all of which are very good.“

Note that there isn't a place to sit down and eat. Only take out.

“I have never been to a Jersey Mike's. Today was the type of day that I needed a sandwich more than anything if I was to keep going. Sometimes, the universe sends you exactly what you need. I happened upon the good old JM and was given immediate service. The server at this location, maybe seeing my awe at the array of options, offered a recommendation of a secret menu item, the 99. Whoever made me that sandwich was touched by an Angel and created a sandwich perhaps the gods would envy. If you like the heat of the earthy jalapeno along with the creamiest pepperjack cheese and the freshest bread mixed into one perfect meal, you would also cry upon the first bite. Admittedly, I had skipped breakfast. Still, it is my steadfast opinion, dear reader, that the quality of food is only the second reason I plan on returning to this fine submarine eatery; the first and foremost will be the warm and friendly service that could see a customer in need of a food miracle.

“We had Cafe 53 cater our entire wedding and the food was phenomenal! Our guests can’t stop talking about the smoked brisket to this day. Jess and her team are amazing to work with and their communication through out the entire process was great. While they have a standard catering menu, they are willing to make whatever you want and cater to your dietary needs. We had a bbq/comfort food style menu and it was a hit. The staff was on time with their services and were on top of it the entire time. The cost was a great price as well which is always a bonus. So thankful that we went with Jess and Cafe 53 for our big day!“

“Been going to this place since I was in grammar school. Even though its in a new building next to the old one cause it burned down. I give this place 10 stars. The food is outstanding. The steak hot and steak sweet sandwiches and hoagie n fries with sauce on them are thee best. They also have the old school cookies n ice cream. Yummy so good. Its 2022 and still continue to go from 1979 to now. This place is worth the trip. People who grew up on this and have moved out of town still come right back to the Hoagy shop and buy extra to take with them to go outta town and take on there travels. “Sitting here to eat for a change allowed me to observe many different interactions between staff and customers. I was super impressed with the communication between staff members, the kindness towards all who came in, and the efficiency of the service. The staff is chatty, asking genuine questions about how folks are doing and engaging with people authentically. It made me smile! Oh and the food is great too :)“

However The stores in UK and France have chicken meat in the soup. Frankly I feel cheated. I got a chicken sandwich and the bread didn’t taste or smell fresh.“

“While visiting Chicago we stopped by for lunch after a trip to the Museum of Science and Industry. The cafe is clean and inviting and the menu offers so many great options. The staff is really welcoming, kind, and easy to chat with. The location near the museum and Promontory Point is so convenient. It was a gorgeous day so we took our order to go to eat at the park. Our sandwiches were super fresh and delicious. If I were a local I’d definitely be a regular at Unbeatable! I hope to return if I’m ever back in the neighborhood.“

“I placed my order online ahead of time and went to pick it up in person. The woman at the counter was very helpful, my order was ready on time, and my sandwich was really good. I’m only giving 4 stars instead of 5 because I asked for no sauerkraut (and the woman at the counter reiterated that when confirming my order), yet there was sauerkraut all over my sandwich when I unwrapped it. “Given they have an outdoor area, it really compensates for the small, crammed area indoors. This is more like a place you walk in, order, and leave. But because they have outdoor area, again, it compensates for the indoor area.
The food is almost as good as Fontanos Subs.

I did ask for mayo, and they added mayo.
That was a mistake on my part. It tasted like there was too much mayo.

As soon as you order a cold sandwich, it would be ready in about 2 minutes. This is much quicker than any fast food restaurants I have been to.
I would recommend this over any other fast food restaurants.
It is cheap as well. I believe I payed $12 for the sandwich itself. Only half of it I was able to eat and the other half, I had either finish it, throw it out, or save it for later and hope it doesn't spoil (I was not around a fridge at the time).

Giardia spicy, is really not spicy. It's more mild than spicy. You will feel the taste of it later in the day though.“
