“We stopped in today on a tip and what a delicious treat! Highly recommend!“

“Located inside Virgin Hotel, this coffee shop makes everything in house. The yogurt parfait with granola and seeds was made excellent. I had the God Save The Queen coffee made with 2 espresso shots, oat milk, cinnamon, vanilla and honey. The seating was cozy and overall had a nice vibe. The staff was super friendly. I highly recommend Two Zero Three for coffee and more.

“We understand why it’s named Gretel… if you’re wondering where Hansel is, he starved to death waiting for his burger. To be fair, it’s one of the best burgers you can get in Chicago BUT you should not come here if you have any other plans that evening. It took 30 minutes longer to be seated than they initially told us (over an hour and a half total). Once we were seated, pretty sure the waiter forgot about us at our table, but it didn’t really matter because the vibes were high 👌🏼 The drinks were great, but consider bringing your own because you’ll grow a five o’clock shadow waiting for your next round. The host, Jonah, was the shining star of the evening and was truly hilarious. But our waitress kept trying to argue that “well” and “well done” were different levels of doneness, so that was annoying (and slightly concerning). Overall, the food was phenomenal, but it was a very slow experience - the antithesis of “fast” food.“

“Amazing place! We're lucky to live walking distance from it, and me and my wife are regulars here. My go-to's are: sausage biscuit, chicken pot pie, s'mores pie, chocolate pecan pie, but you can't really go wrong with anything you order!“

Update: The owner asked whose coffee we preferred. We thought Pedestrian Coffee and Brew Brew were probably the best we had this trip.“

“Great place and spacious. We were a group of seven. We all had different beers to drink and two of us had a mixed drink that had grapefruit in it. Every employee is professional. Music was great. Bathrooms are beautiful and spotlessly clean. Very large gift shop if you are looking for that. It was my birthday and they gave me some Guiness ice cream (yes) and a Guiness beer with the foam on top had Make a Wish spelled on top. We ordered appetizers. We will return. I have attached some photos.“

“Love this new local coffee shop! I'm always on the lookout for a good independently owned coffee shop and this is at the top of my list. The iced coffee is amazing - the flavor has a slight sweetness to it which sets it apart from a lot of other brews I've had. The inside is small but has plenty of seating, so a great place to get studying/work done (plus free - reliable - wifi). The icing on the cake is that their mission is to support local shelter dogs - 50% of sales on their merchandise goes to Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control. The dog-themed decor is also adorable. Highly recommend!!!“

“Wow! What an awesome place. I live very close to this restaurant, but had never been in to check it out. I wish I would've found it sooner. The coffee was delicious and I had the fatta - so fresh and filling. Lots of options - vegetarian, spicy, whatever you wish for and they have a lot of gelato options too. Very kind staff and very clean place. Nice tables for sitting. I can't wait to go back to try more dishes!“

“Cool, crisp, clean and huge interior roastery. Fantastic cold brew - small pastry case with yummy raspberry frambuesa. Plenty of parking - reasonable pricing for such a great product. Fun marketing. Owner and roastery onsite. If near Midway airport definitely make a stop. We’ll be back!

The staff are exhibiting the perfect combination of friendly, courteous, and professional.

“I’ve been loving Loba’s pineapple sourdough muffins. They are beyond delicious! I’m not vegan, but these vegan pastries are life changing! I also am a big fan of their cold brew. This Christmas, I decided to try their take-n-bake kouign-amann; and OMG my family and I were IN LOVE with the Ham & Gruyere kouign-amann! I will need to reorder this again next year!! 100% recommend!“

“A-M-A-Z-I-N-G food! I got the breakfast sando, which imo rivals Kasama’s breakfast sandwich simply because of the complexity and balance of its many flavors. The apple cinnamon bun was light, airy, and not too sweet which was perfect as a compliment to the sando. The sweetness of the vanilla bean latte wasn’t overpowering and still tasted like you were drinking actual coffee and not a Frappuccino. DEFINITELY making a return trip!“

“What a delightful place! They have Beacon Donuts and vegan bagels, with vegan cream cheese from Good Planet (as well as vegan butter, peanut butter, and jam) - my two perfect breakfast foods. The blackberry beignet was good, though I would've liked it warmed up a bit. I got the tendrils tea, a matcha lemonade, and it's a great balance of the two. I'm obsessed with the kitschy movie vibe, especially the sandworm from Beetlejuice coming out of the ceiling.“

“This is easily the best neopolitan pizza I’ve had in chicago! Haven’t had anything better honestly. We got the pistachio pesto pizza and soppresata - both were super good. It was about a 30 min wait at lunch time so just make sure you have time to hang out or order ahead. One pizza could feed two if you aren’t crazy hungry, although my husband and I finished one each!“

“I LOVE Side Practice Coffee. The atmosphere and ambience create the perfect place to chill with a fantastic cup of coffee. The staff and customers are super friendly. I come here to write in my journal or plan out my projects for the week. I always feel inspired here.“
