“I took my wife here for her birthday last week. The vibe was lit. The worker behind the counter was so helpful and went out of her way to answer any questions we had. Not just pierogi ---Gelato, soups, empanadas, tamales, pizza pie (takes 50 mins to make from scratch and worth it!!) Premium Belgium chocolates, shakes, Coffee and most recent.....160 (yes one hundred and sixty) different premium teas from around the world!!.....and more to come! They also own the tea room and book store next to the cafe. Owners are THE BEST! Welcoming, personable and humorous. Dinning outside available and pups are welcome! It was one of the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had. I had sticker shock with the prices. After eating the food, I understand how much care went into everything.“

“A local coffee shop owner in Des Moines and a friend recommended Metric to me and my husband. We love it and come whenever we are in Chicago. Today we had the Maize Mocha special (again) and shared a scallion pastry and passion fruit monkey bread. We want to go back to get these items again now. The coffee, pastries and service are all beyond fantastic! There is no public restroom or indoor seating. The outdoor seating is nice when weather allows. I think street parking is usually easier on the weekend as this is an industrial area.“
