“To say this place is phenomenal would be an understatement. I had the banana cream latte with almond milk and it was amazing. They don't make it too sweet like the big chain coffee shops, you can still taste the expresso and the flavoring they use, which is how a latte should be in my opinion. They offer sweetness levels if you prefer it more sweet. Great service, friendly employees/owners, and great atmosphere. I will definitely be back on the next cheat day. I love having places like this around.“

Exposed brick, chandeliers, and a plant wall surrounds you - a grateful reprieve from cookie cutter Starbucks decor. Coffee, matcha, and baked goods are top notch (haven't tried cocktails or charcuterie yet). A wonderful mix of professionals, college students, community organizers, and socially conscious suburban moms escaping the kids (I'm sure I'm missing wonderful others). Sometimes I'm not sure how I manage to keep living in the suburbs when the city is still home for me after 10 years in Elmhurst, but Brewpoint certainly makes it easier.“

“Milli by Metric is a must-try cafe! Beautifully designed interior - cork or burlwood paneling, vibrant and perfectly lit central counter space, with a wide variety of seating options. Milli's pastries were mind-blowingly beautiful and tasty - well worth the hype!!

We had the Sweet Potato & Black Sesame Eclair, Mushroom Au Gratin, Persimmon Cross Laminated Bun, and iced Americano. The eclair is topped with a crackle black sesame crust and a perfectly crisped bottom. White meringue is toasted as well! Black sesame paste and sweet potato cream insides were light and not overpowering. The date and vinegar jam was a delightful element to the eclair - sweet with a little tang.

The mushroom au gratin has crisp layers, salty cheese top with roasted mushrooms inside. There's some green dusting on top, perhaps a dehydrated vegetable ground into a powder?? This one was a bit too salty for my taste but still a great savory pastry.

Finally, the seasonal Persimmon cross laminated bun. Crisp layers just like the mushroom au gratin with a light dusting of hojicha. It's topped with a dainty cream flower, using the persimmon jam as the flower's center. The cross lamination made for extra crispness with little bits flying off the plate as you cut into it. Hojicha tea was mixed into the cream insides which provided a light earthy balance to the sweet persimmon jam.

The pastries were so mesmerizing that I didn't care for pricing until well after my visit. $9 for the eclair and $11 for the mushroom gratin..it's quite pricey but I don't regret coming to Milli one bit. If you're still debating on coming here, now is your sign. Treat yourself! I'm still thinking about their pastries to this day, I can't wait to go back!!“

Unfortunately, this time I didn't order any food however, the menu looks quite tasty giving a few great breakfast and lunch options.

The overall atmosphere is quite cozy while still giving a very modern feel. This place would make a cute date spot or a great place to grab some coffee and get to work on your laptop.“

“There's a reason the line here is sometimes half a block long. The scones and banana bread are out of this world but the Olive oil cake is among the tastiest things I've had. Regardless of the time of day or how crowded they are the staff is friendly and incredibly efficient. I've never had to wait on my order for more than a couple of minutes. Fantastic neighborhood gem!“
