It was one of the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had. I had sticker shock with the prices. After eating the food, I understand how much care went into everything.“

“A local coffee shop owner in Des Moines and a friend recommended Metric to me and my husband. We love it and come whenever we are in Chicago. Today we had the Maize Mocha special (again) and shared a scallion pastry and passion fruit monkey bread. We want to go back to get these items again now. The coffee, pastries and service are all beyond fantastic! There is no public restroom or indoor seating. The outdoor seating is nice when weather allows. I think street parking is usually easier on the weekend as this is an industrial area.“

They have a wide variety of different offerings on pour over (they call it “hand brew”), and they know how to treat these beans right, and serve coffee properly. Had the pleasure of visiting Grano for a second Sunday in a row. The torta did not disappoint and the cafe the olla, WOW if only I can get one every morning. The service was amazing, so courteous, and prompt with our order without sacrificing the quality or presentation. The cafe is so warm and cozy, don't snooze on Grano plan your visit soon!“

“To say this place is phenomenal would be an understatement. I had the banana cream latte with almond milk and it was amazing. They don't make it too sweet like the big chain coffee shops, you can still taste the expresso and the flavoring they use, which is how a latte should be in my opinion. They offer sweetness levels if you prefer it more sweet. Great service, friendly employees/owners, and great atmosphere. I will definitely be back on the next cheat day. I love having places like this around.“
