Very good coffee, served by a great staff. Good for meet ups and for getting some work done. I only wish they stayed open a little later than 3:00pm.
Say YES to pastry! In CHI from Portland Oregon and this was the perfect stop to pickup a delicious drip coffee and we tried the Olive cake pastry - YUMMY!!! Very small shop with little seating that we saw. Amazingly simple elegant and delicious with hints of almond and a cake texture from the olives which makes for a perfect start to the day. Recommended.

Prequel Cafe is a welcoming spot with a great atmosphere, serving amazing coffee drinks like Royal Mocha, matcha latte, and vanilla latte. Their house-made syrups, especially vanilla, are a hit. The cafe offers some of the best breakfast options in Chicago, including egg sandwiches that are highly praised and possibly the best outside of NYC. Their Bagels are also considered exceptional. The space is clean, adorable, and quaint, making it a perfect place to relax. The staff are friendly, courteous, and professional, providing outstanding service. The coffee beans and barista skills are impeccable, ensuring a consistent cup every time. The chai is perfectly spiced, and the drinks are on point, with a variety of options including lavender rose matcha. While their tea selection could be better, the overall experience is enjoyable. Many customers find the vibe very friendly and inviting, often staying longer to enjoy the atmosphere. Ordering ahead online is recommended during busy periods to ensure a smooth visit.
