“As a neat one of a kind thing to do, it fits that, although I have been to other similar types of places. They do have a unique picture taking “tour” that you can pay for that has staff take you around and get your picture in some of their special 2D items. Staff are friendly when they are with you. The place is small inside, if you make a reservation they will serve you, if you walk in they may not have time or space for you and you will need to wait or make an on the spot reservation. Limited on street parking but there is a parking garage at Marshall’s/Michaels across the street for shopping at their locations. The food, while cute and fun, is good but nothing great for chicken sandwiches. Fries are ok, donuts were good, the cat pudding is just pudding with whatever flavor you choose, but fun to draw a face and jiggle.“
“I wish I had a picture, but I ate the donuts too fast... LOL. The past few weeks, I have purchased these not only for my husband and I, but also have taken them to my sister and brother's place as a little pick me up. Neither of them believed the donuts were vegan. They were so happy with the treat I brought them, definitely my new go-to when bringing something sweet to someone's home. We have tried the chocolate and regular glazed, Oreo, apple fritter, coffee cake, and Boston crème. All fab and I cannot wait to try the others!“
“I went to D&D's place for the first time, and the donuts are the best. The owners of D&D have a loving and caring spirit and make you feel welcomed. Not only do they have the best Donuts, but I also found out that they support the community. They have a variety of Donuts. They even have Bow Tie Donuts. If you haven't tried the Donuts, I suggest that you give them a try. You won't be disappointed, and they are The Best Blessed Donuts in Chicago.Support Black Business ?♥️?✨️??“
“Amazing donuts!! A must-have when visiting the Chicago area they also have some very interesting donut options. Make sure you go in the morning close to opening because the line can be long. Also this is not a store or restaurant, just a little walk-up window so the service is always very quick. There is not much seating outside though so you might be awkwardly eating your donut on the street.“
“My brother has been taking my to Do-Rite while on our way to my rehab session at Shirley Ryan nearby as a treat. Let me tell you, I have never had a bad breakfast sandwich! Online ordering it super easy and pick up is always swift. I usually get the bacon, egg & cheese sandwich. Staff is always friendly ready to assist me when I arrive. I will be enjoying more visits for the remainder of my therapy.“
“For as many times as I've been to Chicago, and being a self-proclaimed "donut connoisseur", why I have i never been here? Well, in my search for lunch, on St. Patrick's Day, this place came up, as Willis Tower was not too far from my hotel. So, of course I had to get some donuts. I opted for 3. The Orange Olive Oil, Cinnamon Crunch, and Blueberry Crumb. Before trying them, I read on my receipt that the Orange Olive Oil, which was also powdered, was listed as a vegan donut. However, this one was pretty good. It is a little messy with the powder getting everywhere. But, as soon as your bite it into it, it was fresh and you were immediately hit with the orange flavor. My taste buds didn't pick up on any olive oil. I would get this one again. The cinnamon crunch was great as well. It seemed like this had some type of cinnamon center, in between 2 halves of donuts. Again, it was fresh. As of this review, I have yet to try the blueberry crumb. But i am sure I wont be disappointed. I can honestly say that these are some of the best donuts I have had.“
“My favorite Mochinut so far!!!! ?They're eager to help you and if you're indecisive like me then that's a huge help!!!! I wnjoyed the recommendations and so far they're my new FAVORITE items!!!!!! The Ube Donut and Hot Cheetos with Beef Sausage and Cheese with avocado sauce are what I got and really enjoyed!“
“I love coming here before my weaving class. It's small and bustling but has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere that invites one to sit and enjoy their coffee before you get on with your day. The coffee is well made and the pastries are light and tasty.“
“I have found my favorite GLUTEN FREE DONUT! I highly recommend them for my gluten free peeps! The chocolate one is delicious too! The cinnamon one is good, just a little dry for my taste. I think with a maple frosting on top it would really help keep the donut moist! Will definitely be coming back again!!“
“Very-well decorated doughnut shop. Big variety of doughnuts where anyone can find something they like. The doughnuts were fresh and the service was very good, the cashiers were happy to serve us and did it with a smile. The doughnuts weren’t the best ones I ever had, but still good doughnuts with a decent size. I can’t say the coffee was the best either. We had a caramel frappe and a vanilla latte.Overall experience was good:4/5 ⭐️Kid-friendliness: Well-decorated area full of colours, big variety of doughnuts and drinks.“
“My girlfriend and I had just come back from Italy, desperately trying to find espresso drinks that even remotely measured up to the quality of drinks we had while vacationing. Needless to say, this place has the best cappuccino i’ve had in Chicago. Barista is super personable and knowledgeable on brewing techniques, very friendly atmosphere!“
“Best Glazed donuts in Chicago. Huge donuts, fresh and great selection - clean store. No dining area - just carry out. Our grandchildren and relatives love your donuts, expensive, yet worth every dollar...amazing selection!! Please open a store in the northern suburbs!!“
“I love Stan's for their Donuts and coffee. The Stan's branch I recently visited had a lot more Vegan options when compared to the downtown branch. They had Vegan Strawberry Croissant and Cinnamon Sugar donut. Both looked really good. We got the Carrot Cake as my boyfriend was craving for it. We could easily taste the cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and carrots in it. Chicago has a lot of Stan's outlets and you should surely check it out once!“
“Don't get me wrong- the donuts are great. Although sugar bombs for sure. They are waaaay overpriced for what you get, even the classics. If you're a tourist with kids you couldn't go wrong here - just be prepared to pay for the privilege. Use google maps and go to do-rite chicken and donuts instead.“
“This is simply the best donut shop in Chicago. It's a SoCal type place with all the donuts. Thanks Uncle Ted! My personal favorite is the Red Velvet Crumb. The chocolate old fashioned and chocolate devil are also really good. Heck, I haven't had a bad or even average donut from this place.“
“Live out of state now but still my favorite coffee place, and try to stop by whenever I’m in town. Also their service is fantastic, I spoke with someone at the mothership, Brian, on the phone who was kind enough to help me with a specialty online order. Can’t recommend this place enough!“
“One of the best in Chicago. They have other desserts depending on the day such as cinnamon rolls, but the best are their donuts. Rich, tender, and a chance to try the classics that offer more to a crispy-edged donut. The coffee is decent and the service is very friendly. Yes indeed! There is no place to sit.“
“We love there Bolillo Sandwiches there made fresh and the bread they make there own really Delicious the donuts are very unique there are very delious also my Kids love there pizza by the slice there always so friendly and fast service and you can look inside where they work there magic they always keep very clean“
“Definitely great yummy food here. My friend lives off of Addison. The donuts, coffee and breakfast sandwiches are so good. I live in the suburbs in Aurora Naperville area and it’s always a treat for me to stop by and get Do-Rite donuts. Maybe one day there will be a Do-Rite donuts in Aurora/Naperville area in the future. I actually stopped at Do-Rite earlier today as I was in Chicago for the Cubs game. Keep up the great work everyone. You all make very good food. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to Do-Rite donuts.“
“Ms. Gray was a customer of mines at AT&T , WONDERFUL HIGH SPIRITED LADY! Upon doing business with her we talked much about her business, she even came back and brought the entire store a sample . Might I say the donuts and popcorn were AMAZING . Popcorn was flavored perfectly & the donuts literally melted in your mouth ! If you ever had second guesses about stopping don’t guess any more , it’s worth every penny !“
“One of my new favorite spots. The Chef has created an amazing menu. Some faves so far: the mushroom and cheese breakfast sandwich and the Pink Spread--ya gotta try it. Next up: the chicken curry empanadas--they sound awesome. It's also great to know they are living wage certified AND that everything is compostable. A truly great addition to the Printers Row community. Hats off to the chef!!!“
“Cute little coffee shop with lots of character. Gorgeous sunny spot. The fireplace is a nice touch. Armchairs could do with a clean or be reupholstered.Didn't try the baked goods however they looked great. Please add a savory scone with no ham.. for the vegos. Yum!1* Downside. Sadly cheesy music is way too loud and on repeat. My ears were crying. Struggled to hear my friend sitting next to me. Ruined the chill morning coffee vibes.“
“There are quite a few Stan's in the area, but this one was quiet, quick service and with some seating if one wanted to stay in. We started off with a responsible breakfast with the pretzel sandwich with egg, which made for a tasty and filling breakfast. Then onto dessert breakfast! The toffee cake donut was sweet and crunchy. The buttercream bismark was filled with creamy goodness. They had a large array of donuts, so there is something for every sweet tooth. I love the vintage feel of the Stan's branding. Luckily when we went it wasn't busy, but there was only one staff person preparing everything. Be careful indulging too much, but the donuts are delicious and unique.“
“Dat Donuts is delicious on my cheat day. These donuts are sugary rich and only control myself to eat only one.Dietary restrictions: Being diet restricted ? I can only have one.Parking: Small lot so street parking if you're patient enough to wait.Wheelchair accessibility: Double doors so coming in for anyone is no problem.“
“I've ordered a dozen Mochinuts for pickup 4 times now and not only is everyone in the Fullerton store helpful and welcoming, but the donuts are delicious and an office favorite. Everyone wants them when we're celebrating a birthday and they are truly a treat! Please open a location in Avondale!“
“life changing fr. Its my birthday today and we're traveling but OH MY GOD these donuts like actually raised the bar. highlight of the year . I don't even LIVE in Chicago but I had the red velvet one and it was amazing. it's just super great! I don't really know what else to say cause I only had experience with the donuts but keep these guys in business!“
“After Dinkel's closed I was on the hunt for a new no fuss place in the area to get pastries. Rudy's is it! If you get there early enough they have a great selection and their danishes are perfect! The prices are fair, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere feels classic.“
“Thee best customer service I've ever received hands down no question about it. I stop by omw way to work and either on my lunch or omw home just so I can get thee best croissant bacon egg and cheese sandwich known to man. Nicole makes it to perfection not shy with the bacon cooked to a crisp and loaded with my fav toppings that she remembers each time. Everybody knows Dunkin' has thee best tater tots but I've noticed some locations will not cook them properly so U get left with potatoe mushy mess but when Nicky makes em they are a lil taste of heaven. The mango refresher is banging or the carmel macchiato is to die for. If you want thee best fast food breakfast experience at lunch or dinner you gotta stop at this Dunkin' on Grand & Ashland from 2:30pm-9-9:30pm cuz Nicky is Amazing!!!!“
“Okay if this want located in the same building with a barbecue place and a sandwich shop (meaning NO PARKING), in a spot surrounded by crime, I'd put it right up there with the best good old fashioned donut shops. The donuts are fresh and delicious. The lack of parking is a serious drawback, and I'm not walking very far to get donuts on that high crime corner. A security detail in the parking exceedingly small parking lot would go along way to securing a five star rating.“
“Absolutely recommend this place I haven’t had a donut as good since I tasted these beautiful creations. The employees are so friendly and they let me take my time to browse all the amazing options. If you haven’t tried it make sure you go ASAP.“
“1st time visiting and I'm looking forward to returning. Felt like home with the delicious aroma and buzzing energy around the place. The Belgium Waffles are AMAZING! Surely going back for those. Also enjoyed a veggie skillet with substituted cheese for feta and added bacon. The meal was hot, fresh, tasty, and worth recommending. My partner enjoyed a veggie omelet with crispy hashbrowns.“
“We were just hopping off the red line when we spotted the Stan's donuts and figured we should stop in for a treat on our way to the museums. My friend snagged a few of the mini donuts and said the carrot cake was her favorite. I had an apple fritter which was good--but it needed some apple chunks for some more flavor. I'd come back to try some other donuts. The staff were super friendly and helpful!“
“Classic old school restaurant. They have a.very nice diners outer as well as booths and tables. The veteran service staff was on point. I had the biscuits and sausage gravy. It was some of the best I have had in Chicagoland. The biscuits were nothing special but the gravy was on point. I also had some eggs which were good, but that is to be expected.“
“The vegan strawberry croissant is amazing. There are a few other vegan options too, but I haven’t Revie them yet. I really appreciate the vibe and design of the interior here. It’s a great place to start the day!Dietary restrictions: Several sweet vegan options.“
“The food and drink are really good here. I got the seasonal frog and toad matcha latte and the Aragon bagel. The matcha was really creamy without feeling heavy. The avocado in the bagel tasted very fresh. eggs were velvetty, and bacon was thick and not overly crispy“
“This place is my favorite! No matter how busy it gets, the service is top notch! The food and coffee is absolutely wonderful. Sofia is my absolute favorite! She is an extremely hard worker! She's very knowledgeable, fast, the friendlies person I met. I will definitely make the 4-hour drive just to come here again!“
“I came here on a Friday afternoon. It was empty so my order came out fast. I ordered one mango mango and matcha strawberry croffles. They were good. It was just the right amount of sweetness with the fresh fruits on top. I was surprised that they didn't have any mochi donuts that day. The place looks clean and trendy. If you like Bearbrick you will like this place. Next to the register, they also sell cute crochet items. I would definitely come back to try their toast.“
“A very kind & fast experience. The manager & employees are kind, clean, & responsible with all the orders every time I am there. Working near by, I have experiences with this Dunking several times a week, & people are always courteous with every guest.“
“I love this location, I am here all the time & the staff is always super friendly & makes my coffee perfect every time! No drive-thru which sucks but I will park and go in because they're just that great! Definitely my favorite location and the nicest staff!“
“Dat Hoagie Shoppe is a hidden culinary gem that deserves the spotlight! From the very first bite, it's evident that they take their hoagies seriously. The meat is cooked to perfection, ensuring every mouthful is a flavor explosion without being overly saucy or mushy. Each ingredient is thoughtfully layered, creating a symphony of taste and texture in every bite. But it's not just about the hoagies—the fries are a standout too! While they could be a tad thinner for my liking, their flavor and crispiness are undeniable. It's clear that Dat Hoagie Shoppe pays attention to every detail, ensuring a memorable dining experience. If you're a hoagie enthusiast or just looking for a delicious meal, Dat Hoagie Shoppe is a must-visit. I can't wait to go back and explore more of their menu—it's a hoagie lover's paradise!“
“Primo donut location, had the pleasure of being served donuts by Hugh. Lemon pistachio donuts, glazed pistachio donuts, and breakfast burrito were top tier. Service was excellent, fast, and we paid less for it than we did for a couple coffees earlier in the day.“
“Super nice staff the counter lady was a gem letting me use the washroom once when the other stores in the little strip wouldn't lol and dunkin is always great anyway. I've never had bad coffee here and it's always clean and quiet.“
“Was told by a native a must try treat and I'd agree. Made our walk along the riverfront all the more enjoyable. Layers of refreshingly sweet Orange Sherbet, Pistachio, Palmer House, Strawberry, and Chocolate. In a cake cone served with a considerate ice cream buddy so if it melts, it doesn't get all over your hands. Highly recommend!“
“This BBQ joint is so good, I almost slapped my grandma's recipe outta her hand! Seriously, the cashier's charm could sell ice cubes to Eskimos. The meat? Tender, juicy, and smoked to perfection. But don't sleep on the sides! The mac and cheese is a revelation - creamy, cheesy, and with a depth of flavor that belongs in a soul food hall of fame.“
“The employees at this Dunkin Donuts are truly the best. They are all so nice! They never get my order wrong. They always greet me, ask about my day, I'm even on a first name basis with one of the employees! Manisha is great, fast and courteous. Keep it up guys!!! :)“
“I had the pleasure of getting a fast order as I past by. Man those loaded Jerk Chicken Fries were so delicious till the flavor, aroma & texture stayed on my mind for hours even after I finished them. Yes I am writing this review while in the lobby, second day in a row ordering Jerk Chicken Fries again.“
“Parking: There is temporary-like run in and get your order and run out-parking available outside the store. There is metered street parking nearby and a parking lot for a fee across the street.Kid-friendliness: This is a very kid friendly place.“
“I got an iced latte with white mocha and my boyfriend got the iced matcha latte. It wasn't too bad but we both felt that our drinks were a little lacking in the flavor. All in all, it's a cute study spot. If I lived in the area, I would definitely study there.“
“The girls that work in the mornings are great! The customer service is amazing! One person (very short hair, quiet) she's quiet but man she makes a great cup of coffee!! The other person, dark brown way hair, wears a fanny pack) she's on point and so helpful!“
“Absolute best donuts in the world! This place is just so awesome. I've been coming here for years, and the donuts are always great. The Buttermilk cake donut is my favorite, just perfect. This place is OldSkool, just like me. Luv ❤️ everything about this place, please dont ever change anything. I luv the old skool menu, the old skool stools, I luv the old skool vibe, and It is not uncommon to see the founder Burritt in the window still making donuts at 85 young years old, God bless him and God give me the same strengths at his age. If you haven't made a pilgrimage yet to this place, do it and do it now !“
