However, I want to highlight one employee in particular — Oscar. I see him often, and he truly stands out. Not only is he efficient and attentive, but he takes the time to greet customers like friends. He remembers people, makes conversation, and creates a genuinely welcoming atmosphere.

If he is not already in a management role, I believe he would make an excellent store manager. He represents the best of what customer service should be.“

The menu has a good variety of items while still providing you the confidence that whatever you order will be made with care and taste phenomenal. I ordered the ginger peach tea with honey and it was divine, not to mention the prices are great. I love that the syrups are also homemade! They have a few food options but the one that stands out to me is the bacon, egg, and cheese on the bagel. I will absolutely be back to try more on the menu!“

“Such an awesome little shop. Quick service, amazing coffee, and their chocolate croissant (chocolate au pain) is sooooo good! It's topped with sea salt and bits of cacao nibs! I love me a good Mocha and their mocha hits all the perfect notes of amazing, delicious, not overly sweet but a smooth chocolatey flavor with a smooth espresso. Of course they do the latte/mocha art even in their to go cups which is a cherry on top. They have a small outdoor seating area, and the indoor has some merch, take home coffee beans, and you can see the roasting area in the back! I also noticed that they do classes there which I will absolutely be checking out in the future.“

“I’ve been loving Loba’s pineapple sourdough muffins. They are beyond delicious! I’m not vegan, but these vegan pastries are life changing! I also am a big fan of their cold brew. This Christmas, I decided to try their take-n-bake kouign-amann; and OMG my family and I were IN LOVE with the Ham & Gruyere kouign-amann! “After hearing about Omarcito’s from Triple D, we had to try it. The owner, Omar, is hilarious and has a great personality. He greeted everyone as they walked up and held genuine conversations. My husband and I ordered a few different items, and we were not disappointed. The ingredients are fresh and you could tell the meat is marinated because it was super tender. This place is a must!!“

“A super popular cafe and bakery, Allez Café is a pleasant spot to visit! There isn’t a huge amount of seating, but it’s nice to sit and relax if you can grab a table. The interior is very cozy and warmly designed.
The breakfast sando is impeccable. The sandwich is filled with a fluffy steamed egg patty, crispy bacon slices, a homemade hashbrown, and stretchy cheese. The combination of the aioli and jalapeno jam is really smoky and has a good peppery kick. It comes out steaming hot on the softest potato bun. One of my favorite breakfast sandwiches in the city.
Definitely worth trying some of their other items as well. The miso chocolate chip cookie is wickedly delicious. It has a great chewy texture with the crispiest outer edges. It has big pools of chocolate and a touch of umami due to the miso. It’s so rich and tasty with the sea salt flakes. And on top of all of that, it’s absolutely massive.
The ramp and délice brioch with lemon is made up of the softest roll topped with a zesty cream. It’s vibrant, but has sharpness due to the ramp.
The mandarin dark chocolate pan suisse was bright and filled with a good bit of melty chocolate and custard. Not as flaky as I would have liked, however.
Overall a nice spot to enjoy good food with a peaceful environment in Bucktown!“

They serve the smoothest cold brew and richest cafe de olla!
Now— “early bird gets the worm” as they sell out fast(bread.)
They are open later than most local cafes(6 pm) and have the BEST team. Not only are they phenomenal with drink recommendations but the customizations they cater towards their customers provides the best quality of coffee you can experience!
