“Great experience while visiting Chicago over St Patty's weekend. Went with friends mid afternoon. We had reservations and luckily so because the place was packed. Ambiance is awesome. The food and drinks were top notch. I had a lamb pot pie. It came with a huge portion of bone marrow. The beef tartare was also amazing. Only pic I ended up getting while there. Still thinking about it. I hope to make it there again someday“
“The atmosphere here is comfortable and fun, and the burger was hands down the best I’ve ever had. Our server Kevin was THE BEST! So attentive and super fun. Definitely stop in if you have the chance!!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options, which is awesome!“
“I loved this place, very good food, everyone who served me was so kind. I ate an impossible burger that was delicious accompanied by very crispy potatoes, they have a wide variety of coffees and drinks, and they have different promotions every day.“
“Found this place through google review and I was like how can it be possible where it is 4.8 stars with so many reviews.... oh boy, believe me, it is that good, I wonder who gave less than 5 stars lol possibly one of the BEST BURGER i ever tasted.Food, service, people, they are all amazing! I read one of the review and it says you can taste it through their food and i whole heartedly agree!“
“An atmospheric place that is not easy to find in the urban jungle of Chicago at first glance. A meeting place with friends. Sometimes you can meet a celebrity. And, of course, it's delicious to eat, and it's also inexpensive. I recommend without reservation.“
“Bro im not even kidding, but i believe that this this is one of the best burgers i had in my life, its the double cheeseburger special, if you’re me this will definitely fill u up, and also if you want to get a late night snack this is the place to go it closes at 3am and its a good price too.“
“What an awesome Chicago food experience! Get the Italian beef sandwich dipped and you won’t regret this beautiful and messy experience. Add the beef in a cup for bonus points and extra protein! The prices are very fair given how much beef you get. It’s a fun and messy sandwich spot and a must try if you’re in Chicago. I would go back in a heartbeat. Check out my photos.“
“I had the portobello philly with the shoestring fries and WOW. The veggies on the sandwich were cooked perfectly, the fries had great seasoning, and the portions were huge! The service was incredible, really amazing people. Definitely will eat here again, recommend without reservation.“
“Absolutely amazing stop on our Chicago day trip. Sassy all around. Dancing was fun. Kids loved the inside decor and the food was really good. Malts and burgers, and breakfast and chicken...all the Diner foods you would expect. Our server, the Swan F was phenomenal and played to the kids' personalities. We will be back.Kid-friendliness: Perfect spot for families.“
“Was in the neighborhood and I stopped by. Italian beef sandwich is amazing. Loaded with beef. Only thing that happened was that I ordered an Italian combo and I got just a regular Italian beef. Giardiniera was not spicy at all and I do like spicy. Otherwise, will probably be back.Parking: There is a parking lot on the side of the building.“
“New to the neighborhood, I was excited to try this place, and MAN OH MAN. It was so good. Classic comfort with a delicious twist. We got the Tahini Ranch Fried Chicken Sandwich, the Kefta Burger, and the Stuffed Falafel; not a dud in the bunch. The toppings and condiments that some on the burger and sandwich made basic diner food such a delight without feeling over the top. The real stand out was the stuffed falafel. I never thought of having a filling in a falafel, and the sweetness of the caramelized onions was such a delicious complexity to a classic Middle Eastern dish. Now I want to eat through the whole menu to find my favorites.“
“Extremely popular, and very touristy. We came here after watching some food blogger’s recommendation. And it’s worth. It’s a shack like hot dog stand. They are super fast and cheap. We got a Polish sausage sandwich. It was hot and came with some caramelised onions on top and some roasted peppers as side. The sausage was good and the peppers were very refreshing. The fries were given as a side and they were hot, crunchy, and well seasoned. They don’t have any done in facility. However, you can stand and eat on the standing racks. Those stands/ racks were quite dirty- so we ultimately ate sitting inside our car. Overall, highly recommended if you are looking for a low cost, fresh meal.“
“Hands down one of my favorite breakfast/lunch spots in the city. Great food and service. Cute, quiet place. I just love this place and can't say enough great things about it. I drive out of the way for this place because it is worth it.“
“Just an incredible pizza, every single time. It’s just delicious. The owners and staff are really nice. The pizza has a vinaigrette glaze stuff over it, and with the crust being crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside, it’s got an old school Italian kind of taste that you just have to try. The first time I tried a slice, I ate it and thought, ‘that was different, delicious and different.’ Then I thought about how good it was for the next week. I went back for more and this is my go-to place now.“
“Best Sandwiches around - Steak Sandwich - Shish Kabob Sandwich - Italian Sausage or beef or combo you cannot go wrong - Mike and family are the best people. The fries are fresh cut and does the double fry so crispy outside and fluffy and soft inside.“
“We went to Farm Bar last night with another couple and it was so delicious I had to write a review. We started with the cheese curds and we all agreed that they are the best we have ever had. Then we had the salad that was on the Specials list. It was a smear of ricotta cheese with butter lettuce, peas, asparagus, watermelon radishes and a very light, tasty vinaigrette dressing. So fresh and flavorful. The owner came by our table and has a huge farm in Wisconsin so everything is so fresh and menu changes with seasons. My husband had the catfish. He is a southern boy and he loved it. Huge portion as well! Two of us had the cavatelli. Fresh pasta and layered with textures and flavors. And one of us had the burger. He said it was a great burger. Service was very friendly and we didn't feel rushed. Highly recommend Farm Bar!! Can't wait until the summer and the rooftop opens.“
“Food so delicious and freshly made. The ambience and music so pleasant. The owners and the staff always so nice, friendly, lovely with all guests. You can tell that they really enjoy making their guests happy while they are eating amazing recipes from Leskovac, Serbia! Such good people!“
“The food was amazing, we got Hotdogs and fries and they were piping hot and delicious. The location is also pretty cool, beautiful Chicago views any time of the day, they also had great customer service, the guy behind the counter was super friendly and the food came out super fast.“
“Man this place is such a GEM. I’ve lived in the area for years in different spots and always end up ordering from here frequently. Their consistency is spot on. Their burgers are actually delicious. For SLIGHTLY more than the cost of fast food you could eat a real burger and fries. It’s not gonna be a fancy “artisan” burger or hot dog. You pay a cheap price for food that was made with classic Chicago charm and no pretentious intent. I will always gas this place up to my friends, I hope it stays here forever, would give it 10/5 if I could.“
“Absolutely solid burgers and fries, menu is a bit limited but there's really not much more that they could possibly add.Service is good and fairly quick for both carry out and eat in.My only complaint would be the lack of indoor seating. The patio is expansive but often times I'm not a fan eating outdoors and would gladly take the option of eating inside of it was available.“
“As part of a conference we were attending this week, we did a walking tour through Chicago all about the Lager beer riot of 1855. Our tour ended at Monk's Pub. They don't accommodate reservations after a certain time, so we were at the mercy of the bar for seating. They were able to split us into smaller groups and get us seated pretty quickly which we appreciated. A few members of our group ordered some food and seemed to enjoy the offerings. The drinks were good and the service was quick! I hope I can come back some time.“
“I went to Mother's Ruin with a group of my coworkers, and Keith the bartender took the best care of us. He really made all of our nights special. I have also gone to Mother's Ruin for my birthday and graduation, and each time the service is always spectacular. I can't recommend this place enough! I highly recommend the nachos, and the specialty cocktails they have are all delicious.“
“The food was good. Server was very friendly and attentive. The only issue was ice. We ordered the peach teas which was bottled, but they weren't cold. They didn't have ice so we were stuck. My husband loved the Italian burger but said it was a little small for the price. I had a Chicago style polish which was good, but I wish they had tomato wedges instead of slices. Overall a good place to stop for lunch.“
“Super friendly, solid burger spot. Tried the normal burgers to get a sense of the baseline, but will be back to try the “L” burgers. Lettuce, tomato, and onion were really fresh- they’re not throwing trash veggies on top of their burgers! Curds were lightly battered and not too oily.“
“This is one of the cutest places in Andersonville! I HIGHLY recommend getting the Ancient Brown Sugar Tea, it’s deliciously sweet and my only complaint is that it doesn’t come in a bigger size. The employees are very kind and welcoming.“
“We celebrated my friends birthday at benchmark and the staff was great at helping us celebrate! The pizza was great and they brought a dessert with a sparkler in it for my friend. Emma was our server and she was the best! Definitely ask for her if you find yourself at benchmark!“
“I really like the establishment, the incredible atmosphere, and the friendly team, as well as the owner)! The food is simply wonderful, the burgers are top?? Lately, we like to order shawarma and fries for the child, we eat everything with pleasure! We will definitely order more and come to visit you)“
“I liked the hamburgers, they are delicious, they cook them right away, the delicious onion rings give you a very delicious dip.Parking: The parking lot is large and if you don't want to eat at the tables you can eat in your car or inside.“
“I've picked up burgers from here twice so far (I'm not in the neighborhood, but my partner is) and I've been impressed both times! Menu is small but has great options, and the burgers have been delicious both times. I love the extra touch of the logo on the buns! Will definitely be back again!“
“Love love love.Had everything on the menu, twice. All great.Service is amazing. Order, go upstairs to murphy's and they'll bring it up.The people who own and run it are wonderful warm and friendly people.FWIW, I loved them so much they catered my wedding.Go! Enjoy! Don't even try to use the ketchup.“
“Best Burgers! Took my husband there once and now I can't get him to go anywhere else. His words "Why chance somewhere else when Kuma's is always on point!" The Burgers are huge with a new Burger of the Month that keeps the menu fresh.Every Burger is delicious and totally different making it impossible to pick one. Also you can substitute the beef with Chicken! ? Atmosphere is great with cult classic movies playing behind the heavy metal music. Oh and let's not forget the beer/liquor selection!“
“We ate lunch at Michael Jordan’s Steak House in Chicago today. We were greeted with a warm welcome and the hostess helped us with our parking situation. Our server was friendly and quick. Our food was delicious! After our meal the valet parking department went out of their way to help us and we were so appreciative. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend eating here!“
“Burger Point is a hidden gem for burger enthusiasts. Their burgers are freshly handmade, juicy, and truly on point. Each bite is a burst of flavor that leaves you craving more. The service at Burger Point is excellent, with staff who are friendly and attentive. They go out of their way to ensure you have a great dining experience. One unique item on their menu that caught my attention was the burger egg rolls. These delicious treats are a must-try, offering a delightful twist on traditional egg rolls with a savory burger filling. Overall, Burger Point is a must-visit for burger lovers. With their fresh, juicy burgers and excellent service, it's a place that never disappoints.“
“I loved this restaurant. From the burgers, to fries, to shakes, and just atmosphere. The staff was super friendly and easy to order. The burgers were extremely delicious. They are easily one of the best burger places I have ever been. The burger was juicy but not too greasy. It’s hard to find a burger joint that doesn’t make super greasy burgers and still taste good. The chocolate shake is what I ordered and it tasted amazing. I’m a huge fan of dipping my fries in my shake and it tasted so good together with the shake they gave me. I would highly recommend coming to small cheval. Even the little ones in our family enjoyed this restaurant and wanted to go back again. They have their own homemade garlic aioli sauce they offer and it tasted with both the burgers and fries. If you haven’t tried this restaurant then you are for sure missing out.“
“Lots of fun here and really good drinks. Went to 3 different bars before going here. The others were packed and this one was only partially busy for trivia on a Wednesday night. We were able to fit about a dozen of us there for drinks but I kinda wish we went there for food too because it all looked really good“
“Margie was our server on st patty’s day and boy did we feel lucky! She took such amazing care of our large party and was so kind and caring and took the best care of us. Can’t thank her enough for her generosity and amazing service. Thank you, Margie! We will be back because of you!“
“Everything about this place was just... Mediocre. Just to be clear, there was nothing wrong with the food or service but it didn't illicit the nostalgia I was looking for. I grew up in a suburb not far from Chicago but moved to Louisville, Kentucky about 18 years ago and I think we have a Chicago transplant restaurant owner that does Chicago-style cuisine better than this. The prices are reasonable and the food is decent so I'm not mad about getting food here. We had just gotten into town and were starving so having a bite to eat here did the trick. I just think there may be a better place to eat.Wheelchair accessibility: The elevator to the bathrooms on the second level were out of order when we were there so not sure what folks did when stairs weren't an option.“
“Absolutely adorable decor as you step into this neighborhood local joint, filled with music legend memorabilia and tv's lit with tunes from Queen. The menu is simple with each burger having its own personality. Each sandwich can be made into a chicken sandwich or a meatless veggie option as well. Had the curds and Parmesan fries on the side. Cute trivia cards to entertain you and your table guests. Was excellent quality food, and wonderfully friendly service.“
“Food is good, there is a strong language barrier with staff. I wanted to add ghost pepper seasoning (Fuego) to my salt fries. No option was in the digital menu for that. Had to talk to 3 people to get that done. They got it done though... But 1 out the 3 gave a little attitude vibe.“
“Amazing food and drink. The burgers here are absolutely fantastic, and the fries are also quite good. The chocolate shake here is possibly the best shake I’ve ever had. The food is always delicious and the service is great and quick. I will always eat here when I get the chance. Best local burger in Chicago.“
“The curse breaker cheeseburger is good I ask for extra grilled onions and extra grilled jalapeños. The polish with extra grilled onions and mustard is even better. Definitely go and try both of these! The picture is bad. I wasn't going for pretty just for you to see the burger. Lol...“
“Havent eaten here so cant comment on food (heard it is good though). If you like to play darts this is a great place to go. They sponsor a number of different teams and have a great back room dedicated to darts and a bi-weekly blind draw on Wednesdays. Everybody is friendly. Recommend checking it out! Good beer specials. Nice “
“The owner/cook was a delight to chat with.I had a Cuban sandwich and my company had a Wicked Burger... We were both sucking our fingers...The sweet potato and truffle fries were also great and there's this lemon aioli that will have you scraping the condiment container. We'll absolutely be back!“
“We order fried mushrooms, falafel, and bbq cauliflower for starters. We ordered tacos, jerk tofu bowl, sloppy joe, and falafel burger. Everything was well seasoned and balanced. Generous portions. Amazing flavors and great quality. Nice ambiance, helpful staff, amazing cook and owner. Best of all? Completely kind to all Earthlings <3We will be back!“
“Great food. Service could of been better. I entered my name at the kiosk, but they were calling order numbers. But my name was on the receipt. They gave me the wrong food but I gave it back. They made me feel like a jerk for taking the wrong food. Other than that, everything was great! A Chicago must!“
“Such a great place! You must stop here for lunch or early dinner if you live or work or go to school in the area. Homemade recipes and everything is fresh and made with care. Amazing friendly service and fantastic food! My son loved the grilled cheese and the grilled chicken sandwich and homemade soup was full of flavor. Will be our family’s go to spot to grab a quick meal!Vegetarian options: Homemade bean soup, veggie burger, salads, etcKid-friendliness: Great for anyone! Very kid friendly!“
“Hosted a private event here for about 75 people and was so impressed with the level of service and the incredible food! I would come back again just to eat the food! The owner was so easy to work with and really accommodating for our event needs. Also loved the atmosphere. Highly recommend and will be back!“
“Hi guys, just wanna let you guys know the garage bar in sandwiches is a great spot to have food. The service was OK. Not the best but the food makes everything better. Unfortunately the drinks were trash. I shouldn’t say trash because that’s understatement. They are horrible they taste nothing but syrup don’t get drinks or specialty drinks here get anything on tap that was better, good luck“
“First time going here and it was such a welcoming experience! The wait wasn't that long and the food is made fresh! Great prices and amazing tasting food! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! we got a double cheeseburger and patty melt. THANK YOU TO THE COOK! ❣“
“4.5 stars if Google would allow half stars. We were visiting from Kansas City a d food is for sure our cities thing, so we planned our trip to Chi-Town around food for sure. Little Goat Dinner was on the eater best brunch list, so we had to try it. It for sure lived up to the hype.- Great atmosphere- Kid friendly- Dietary restrictions are doable here- Amazing and even creative foodBrunch can be too sweet or even too heavy. I'm my eyes. Little Goat does a great job at being creative and even detailed about how they present and make their dishes.
