“Highly recommend! Good food that 3 generations of Desi immigrants approve of, from those born in colonial India, to post partition Pakistanis, to American-Born little ones. Suits all palates.

All food was good but saag paneer in particular was the bomb. So was nihari (authentic!). Elachi chai was great , too. Very clean, down to the bathroom. Kind service.“

“Stopped by Hot N' Spicy Chicago on Devon Ave for a late-night bite and was impressed. Grabbed the Chicken Chutney Roll—tender chicken wrapped in a soft paratha with a tangy chutney kick. Also tried the Masala Fries, which were crispy and packed with flavor. The staff was friendly, and the place had a cozy vibe. If you're in the area and craving a flavorful halal meal, this spot is worth checking out. Definitely coming back to try more of their menu.“

“We have been coming here for over 25 years as regular customers. Their food is authentic and just like Pakistan! Their grilled items especially are delicious. Our favorite is the chicken tikka. The interior is not that great but definitely get take-out!!!“

“I’ve tried their Chicken Noodles, Chicken Fried Rice, Beef Shawarma, and Shrimp Pasta. Overall, the food is good, and I particularly liked their Chicken Noodles. 🍜

However, the service could definitely be improved. There have been several times when I’ve tried calling to place a pickup order, but they don’t answer the phone. This ends up making me wait longer because I have to go to the restaurant in person to place my pickup order.

There’s definitely a lot of room for improvement when it comes to customer service and handling pickup orders. With better communication and responsiveness, the overall experience could be much better.“

“Nice, clean restaurant and was not too crowded for Sunday dinner except someone's party. Food was okay nothing exceptional that I was anticipating. I have had more tastier Nihari at Usmania, Sabri or Ali Nihari. BBQ was good but karahi needs more reasonable fixing. We liked the paratha poori, Naan and parathas were freshly made and hot to touch. Staff was polite and courteous.
The parking lot needs fixing. We used disability parking but the walkway was so rocky, uneven and so far from the entrance that my dad almost fell with his rollator. It definitely needs fixing before a lawsuit happens“

“I love Ghareeb Nawaz. I used to go all the time when I went to UIC, and it slaps every single time. I was craving butter chicken, so I ordered for “dine-in”, and they were so generous with the portions. The food came out super quickly too, and the guy behind the counter was really nice.

I also got a potato samosa, which was absolutely massive, and it paired so well with the white sauce. The mango lassi was creamy and refreshing, and it balanced out the meal perfectly. Honestly, the leftovers might’ve hit even harder; I reheated everything later and it was still just as good.

I honestly was hesitant to come here because we saw there was a couple of 1 star ratings but I am so glad I opened google and read the one star. People are so ignoring that they gave this business a 1 star because they didn’t want to pay for their yogurt. I would give this restaurant 6 star overall. The halwa puri was amazing, and the nihari tasted great! So glad we checked it out! Definitely a gem in the Chicago downtown!“

“We had a great experience at Delhi Darbar! We arrived very close to closing time, but Asif was extremely kind and still accommodated us and made sure we were able to enjoy our meal without feeling rushed.

The food was delicious, but what impressed us the most was the excellent customer service. Asif was welcoming, respectful, and went above and beyond for us even though they were about to close. We truly appreciated the hospitality.

Mutton Afghani pulao - 10 out of 10.

Taste quantity and texture of the meat was very tasty with soup provided with pulao.

Whenever you see this review specially on Thursday must try pulao.

Chicken Biryani - 7 out of 10.

I believe it was made too much masala the other words everyone has their own taste I have just dropped my feed back about chicken biryani.

Usually Thursday on devon there are no special dishes served at restaurants specially on meals.

No doubt we can prefer this House of Biryani on Thursday.“
