All food was good but saag paneer in particular was the bomb. So was nihari (authentic!). Elachi chai was great , too. Very clean, down to the bathroom. Kind service.“

“Ordered from here for the first time after work on a Sunday, right around 7:00 p.m. and had an incredible experience! Would highly recommend. The order was done extremely quickly and much sooner than expected. I highly recommend the gobi manchurian and the chicken tandoori is some of the best chicken I’ve ever had… cooked to absolute perfection! Everything had the perfect level of spice. Definitely worth a try!“

“We have been coming here for over 25 years as regular customers. Their food is authentic and just like Pakistan! Their grilled items especially are delicious. Our favorite is the chicken tikka. The interior is not that great but definitely get take-out!!!“

“Stopped by Hot N' Spicy Chicago on Devon Ave for a late-night bite and was impressed. Grabbed the Chicken Chutney Roll—tender chicken wrapped in a soft paratha with a tangy chutney kick. Also tried the Masala Fries, which were crispy and packed with flavor. The staff was friendly, and the place had a cozy vibe. If you're in the area and craving a flavorful halal meal, this spot is worth checking out. Definitely coming back to try more of their menu.“

The texture was smooth, meat perfectly blended, and the fried onions and lemon on top took it to another level. Masala balance was just perfect. If you’re craving true Hyderabad-style Haleem in Chicago close to downtown, this spot is a must try. Definitely going back again!“

“Nice, clean restaurant and was not too crowded for Sunday dinner except someone's party. Food was okay nothing exceptional that I was anticipating. I have had more tastier Nihari at Usmania, Sabri or Ali Nihari. BBQ was good but karahi needs more reasonable fixing. We liked the paratha poori, Naan and parathas were freshly made and hot to touch. Staff was polite and courteous.
The parking lot needs fixing. We used disability parking but the walkway was so rocky, uneven and so far from the entrance that my dad almost fell with his rollator. It definitely needs fixing before a lawsuit happens“

“We were staying in Downtown Chicago, and were craving some good halwa puri, nihari and some good Pakistani chai. This restaurant had it all. I honestly was hesitant to come here because we saw there was a couple of 1 star ratings but I am so glad I opened google and read the one star. People are so ignoring that they gave this business a 1 star because they didn’t want to pay for their yogurt. I would give this restaurant 6 star overall. The halwa puri was amazing, and the nihari tasted great! So glad we checked it out! Definitely a gem in the Chicago downtown!“

“I love Ghareeb Nawaz. I used to go all the time when I went to UIC, and it slaps every single time. I was craving butter chicken, so I ordered for “dine-in”, and they were so generous with the portions. The food came out super quickly too, and the guy behind the counter was really nice.

I also got a potato samosa, which was absolutely massive, and it paired so well with the white sauce. The mango lassi was creamy and refreshing, and it balanced out the meal perfectly. Honestly, the leftovers might’ve hit even harder; I reheated everything later and it was still just as good.
