All food was good but saag paneer in particular was the bomb. So was nihari (authentic!). Elachi chai was great , too. Very clean, down to the bathroom. Kind service.“

“And the service there was really efficient, even though it was packed on Friday! They had us seated quickly and the food came out super fast, which was great after a long week. Just wish the music wasn't quite so loud, could barely hear my coworker.“

“I had a bad experience this time. I have been here several times and love their food but this time I ordered frontier chicken fried rice along with few other items and the fried rice was bad. It smelled and taste as if something in it was spoiled. I returned it immediately. The other items were good as usual.
I didn't get any apology or anything either from the server or the management except that they didn't charge me for the returned item.“

“Stopped by Hot N' Spicy Chicago on Devon Ave for a late-night bite and was impressed. Grabbed the Chicken Chutney Roll—tender chicken wrapped in a soft paratha with a tangy chutney kick. Also tried the Masala Fries, which were crispy and packed with flavor. The staff was friendly, and the place had a cozy vibe. If you're in the area and craving a flavorful halal meal, this spot is worth checking out. Definitely coming back to try more of their menu.“

“I’ve tried their Chicken Noodles, Chicken Fried Rice, Beef Shawarma, and Shrimp Pasta. Overall, the food is good, and I particularly liked their Chicken Noodles. 🍜

However, the service could definitely be improved. There have been several times when I’ve tried calling to place a pickup order, but they don’t answer the phone. This ends up making me wait longer because I have to go to the restaurant in person to place my pickup order.

There’s definitely a lot of room for improvement when it comes to customer service and handling pickup orders. With better communication and responsiveness, the overall experience could be much better.“

“Nice, clean restaurant and was not too crowded for Sunday dinner except someone's party. Food was okay nothing exceptional that I was anticipating. I have had more tastier Nihari at Usmania, Sabri or Ali Nihari. BBQ was good but karahi needs more reasonable fixing. We liked the paratha poori, Naan and parathas were freshly made and hot to touch. Staff was polite and courteous.
The parking lot needs fixing. We used disability parking but the walkway was so rocky, uneven and so far from the entrance that my dad almost fell with his rollator. It definitely needs fixing before a lawsuit happens“

“We were staying in Downtown Chicago, and were craving some good halwa puri, nihari and some good Pakistani chai. This restaurant had it all. I honestly was hesitant to come here because we saw there was a couple of 1 star ratings but I am so glad I opened google and read the one star. People are so ignoring that they gave this business a 1 star because they didn’t want to pay for their yogurt. I would give this restaurant 6 star overall. The halwa puri was amazing, and the nihari tasted great! So glad we checked it out! Definitely a gem in the Chicago downtown!“

“Grabbed dinner at Ghareeb Nawaz and got the chicken biryani and a chili chicken paratha. Biryani was loaded with flavor and the rice had that nice spice kick without being overpowering. Paratha was crispy on the edges and stuffed full. Place is no frills and always busy but they move quick. Portions are huge so I had leftovers for the next day.“

Mutton Afghani pulao - 10 out of 10.

Taste quantity and texture of the meat was very tasty with soup provided with pulao.

Whenever you see this review specially on Thursday must try pulao.

Chicken Biryani - 7 out of 10.

I believe it was made too much masala the other words everyone has their own taste I have just dropped my feed back about chicken biryani.

Usually Thursday on devon there are no special dishes served at restaurants specially on meals.

No doubt we can prefer this House of Biryani on Thursday.“
