“I ordered out and had a great experience. I was greeted by multiple friendly staff members, and provided my order promptly. The samosas were high quality and filled to perfection, the naan was the perfect compliment to the entree, and the butter chicken was so flavorful. You can also adjust spice level on other dishes. Definitely coming back again!“

“Nina's was an excellent value, and tasty - a place I will return to or order from in the future for Indian food. I've been enjoying indian food since I was a child in the 70's, and recently my elder greek aunt mentioned she knew about Nina's and wanted to try it. She's in her early 90's and I knew she had concern for flavors and overly hot spices, so I was initially anxious - yet the menu had many clear options and while I can tolerate medium heat in dishes, I was able to discern helpfully which dishes were significantly spiced and also find out if the spice was hot, or simply aromatic in descriptions - she tried the Goat Biryani and requested it not over-spiced. Portions were excellent, both for her dish and the Chicken Tikka Masala which my wife and I requested, which we stated we liked spice for. They accomplished our dishes well all around and accompanied with delicious crisp veg samosas filled with the usual lovely and tender filling - dipping sauces, garlic naan, and complimentry basmati rice with our tikka dishes. The little gulab jamuun donut balls in sweet sauce was a perfect desert at the end.
My aunt's goat biryani was very pleasantly spiced, not hot but still a nice medley of spice that accompanied the large and tasty pieces of goat - which really pleased my greek aunt and though she ate as much as she could, she still sent half of it home with me and my wife AND took some of it home with herself as left overs! As a standby, we orderded normal chai with cream and sugar and it was excellent, but they have a full bar and selections of indian beers and other beverages, as well as western sodas.
The ambiance as some have mentioned may need a little work, but it was nice tables inside, many two tops, but also enough to handle medium parties as well without rearrangement. Quiet inside, we could hear ourself talk and enjoy the gathering - and though some might feel an indian restaruant needs something like lowly played pleasant music -by and large Nina's cooking did the speaking and it would call us back.“

“Authentic Bengali Cuisine in Bolingbrook!
Must-Order: The Kala Bhuna, Fish Curries, or the Weekend Buffet
Zaika in Bolingbrook is an absolute neighborhood gem. The atmosphere is cozy, clean, and welcoming, offering the distinct personal touch and comfort of a great family-run restaurant. The service is attentive, and the kitchen is highly accommodating—the food is served mildly spicy by default, but you can easily ask them to kick up the heat if you prefer an authentic, fiery punch.
What truly sets Zaika apart is its commitment to serving authentic Bengali cuisine, beautifully capturing the specific regional flavors of Bangladesh and West Bengal.
If you visit on the weekend, they usually offer a weekend buffet that is an incredible deal. The portions are exceptionally generous, the variety lets you sample a bit of everything, and the price is very, very reasonable for the quality you get.
Whether you order a la carte or hit the buffet, the menu options are fantastic:
The Meats: The absolute star of the show is the Kala Bhuna (a traditional, deeply savory slow-cooked beef dish). Their goat and chicken curries are also exceptionally tender and well-seasoned.
The Seafood: Bengali cuisine is famous for its fish, and Zaika hits it out of the park with staples like Ruhy, Ilsha, Pomfret, and succulent Shrimp curries.
Vegetarian & Sides: The plant-based options are just as delicious. The comforting Daal, perfectly seasoned Mixed Sabji (vegetables), and the Eggplant dishes are packed with flavor.
Everything pairs perfectly with their fragrant flavored rice and a great selection of fresh, hot breads to soak up the rich gravies.
Between the generous portions, fantastic value, and rare regional specialties, Zaika delivers an uncompromised, authentic taste of home cooking. Highly recommended!“

“This is hands down my absolute favorite restaurant in the entire area! The secret to their incredible success is Chef Pramod—his talent and execution are unmatched.
The Indian fusion menu is brilliant from start to finish. You absolutely must try their fusion drinks; my personal favorites are the Mango Mastani, the Paan drink, and the Guava Rum Punch.
For food, start with the Bao (both the paneer and fried chicken options are incredible) and the Street Noodles. For the main course, their Thali is a must-try, offering a perfect variety, and you cannot leave without ordering the Lamb Biryani—the baby goat meat is unbelievably tender and packed with flavor.
Save room for dessert! The Sticky Date Pudding with ice cream is phenomenal, and their Mango and Pistachio Kulfis are the perfect authentic finish. Every single dish is a hit. Highly, highly recommended!“

“I tried Vasco’s Peri Peri for lunch and was blown away by the Two Tenders Rice Bowl. Tons of flavor, generous portions, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. It’s hard to beat a fresh, hot meal like this for under $11. Perfect quick lunch option Monday through Friday!“

“This was our first time eating at the restaurant and I called my order in for pick up. Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication in what I wanted, apparently FM is an abbreviation for filet mignon and I thought it was an abbreviation for family (larger) size. I’m only clarifying this in case somebody else didn’t know what FM stood for. The situation was resolved to our satisfaction. We ordered boneless chicken, biryani and mixed grill FM (also not to be confused with radio frequency🤣, just kidding of course after all it's a restaurant) and it came with hummus and pita bread. The food was delicious and we truly enjoyed it. It was large portions that lasted for 3 meals. The inside of the restaurant was beautifully decorated, and I look forward to dining in sometime in the future.“
“We had brunch at Shahi and it was a get together of almost 75 ladies. the quality of food , taste and service was out of this world. just the Chinese noodles were extra spicy but rest was 5/5. I love the decor, taste and hospitality since the owner Rahila Al Karim took over.“
