Magic Pepper Reviews
authentic food
wonderful service, great ambiance, overall wonderful dining experience
This place won our hearts during our 4th July long weekend visit to Chicago this year. We were 3 days in Chicago and for all those days, this was our spot for lunch.
The ambience was nice, place was clean & beautiful and the food was just DIVINE! From everything we tried, our favorite dishes were Paneer Lollipop, Malai Kofta, Chicken Chettinad, Benne Dosa, Malabar Parotta, and of course, filter coffee. Must must must visit this place while in Chicago.
I had a wonderful dining experience at Magic Pepper Restaurant! The South Indian thali was absolutely authentic, fresh, and full of rich traditional flavors. Every item was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The ambiance was warm, clean, and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a relaxed meal with family and friends. The hospitality was exceptional—the staff was courteous, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. If you're looking...read full review

Magic Pepper is a restaurant that has received overwhelmingly positive reviews from its customers. The staff, especially Radhika, Sara, and Sarah, are praised for their kindness, helpfulness, and excellent service. The food is described as extremely delicious, with a variety of South Indian specialties like Rava onion masala Dosa, Benne Dosa, chole bhature, and veg Pakora. The dosas are said to be perfectly crisp and flavorful, while the chutneys are described as having distinct, authentic flavors that complement the meals perfectly. The chole bhature is noted to have a homely and comforting taste, with less oil in the bhatura. The veg pakore and mint chutney are also highly praised. While the teas and filter coffee did not impress some customers, the overall experience at Magic Pepper is described as wonderful, with a great range of menu options and an authentic South Indian breakfast experience. The restaurant is recommended as a go-to spot for those craving an authentic South Indian meal.
