“Today was the first time I have ever Ben in a Portillo’s Restaurant, first time I have ever had an Italian beef sandwich. I have a Lotta friends in Fort Myers who go all the way to Tampa to get this sandwich and they continue to tell me how good it is. So this evening we decided to go to Portillo since I was visiting on my grandkids and my daughter and son-in-law, I really enjoyed that Italian beef sandwich. There are a lot of other good things on the menu, but that was what I was there for. Unfortunately, they do not have a Portillo’s Station FortnMyer Florida. I can only hope that one day they will build it there.“

“Got The Dogzilla and The Lord Byron burger, both Byron's style. Staff was very nice and quick and the food was great. If you're ever in the area, make a stop here. It's worth it. Awesome place and good food.“

“You can’t go wrong with the classic Chicago dogs here—perfectly prepared and served alongside a generous portion of crisp, hot French fries.
While I haven't had a chance to try their cheeseburger yet, it seems to be a major crowd favorite based on what everyone else was ordering. I'll definitely be back to give it a shot. Clean, fast, and exactly what you want from a great local spot!“

“I’ve been going here for years for the wide variety of sausages they have. Today they had run out of the sausage I wanted to get so I went for a burger. Holy smokes the burger was totally fantastic. Now I don’t know what to get do I get a sausage next time or a burger. Either way I win.“

“Old school hot dog and sandwhich place. Taking a point off the dog for the missing poppy seed bun. Taking another point off because it is missing tomato (sign indicated this so I knew what I was getting). But adding a point cause the fries are legit. Is it my top dog ? No. But very tasty dog at a good value and a quality place by owners grinding out a living and for that, much respect.“

“When I'm in Chicago I always have to have an Italian beef. This time I wanted something that wasn't a big chain and I stumbled on Bob O's. Man this place was awesome. The Italian beef was tremendous as well as the meatball sub and char dog. Even the fries were great. The portions for the price were tremendous. Absolutely killer place!!!“

“Horrid! As a native Chicagoan I never expected to be disappointed by a neighbourhood hot dog stand. Yesterday, for the first time I went to Jr’s Red Hots. For starters they messed up the order of two hotdogs with fries. Instead we received two overcooked polish sausage with greasy fries. I couldn’t consume more than two bites of either. It was obvious the grill and oil from deep fryer aren’t routinely cleaned. Failed on a grand scale!!!! Never going back to Jr’s.“

“Went for a late weekday lunch. Just ordered the Chicago dog, fries and soda. Hit the spot! More of a takeaway place for locals. No real parking, only paid street parking. A small counter to stand and eat if you'd like (I did). Nice owner.“

“At first, I was a little apprehensive because this is inside the Home Depot, but the food was absolutely fabulous. The hotdog was great. It was my first Chicago hotdog and the hot peppers are very hot.! the guys behind the counter were very friendly… fantastic location, fantastic food highly recommend“

“I’ve been going there for 35 years and I’ve never had a bad dog from this place. And the fries are made fresh in front of u. Always crisp. I believe that if u want a 20 dollar gourmet hotdog this ain’t the place. U wanna hood Chicago dog the way it’s suppose to be made, Jacks got it.“
“First time enjoying Alley Dogs was great. The fish sandwich was crispy and tasty with the extra tartar sauce. The fries were soft on the inside and had a nice crunch externally. The staff was enjoyable to talk to until the food was ready pretty quickly!“

“We moved here two years ago from NY and finally had Josh’s for dinner. Their menu is fantastic, with a lot of different options. We had the Ribs and Greek Chicken dinner. My husband said “these are amongst the best ribs I’ve ever had”. The Greek chicken was amazing. The food portions are more than generous. This will be our Friday night go to place for sure! The staff was also so friendly!“

“First , the smoke and aroma comin’ out the roof exhaust pipes . Lol 😛 Known for their hamburgers , dogs , apparently everything else on their menu is good . Being a member of Chicago Italian Beefs fB page , I just HAD to try theirs . Pretty darn good ! 9.0/10 Sweet n hot , dipped , nice crinkly fries 🍟 comin’ for da ride , and a tamale 🫔 to wash it down . Nice job guys at the PP in Des Plaines !!!“

Their gyros are especially impressive - big in size, juicy, and full of flavor 😋🥙 The shoestring fries are always perfectly crispy and fresh, just the way we like them 🍟🔥 It’s hard to stop eating them once you start!

“This was absolutely the most inhaleable italian beef I had during my stay in Chicago. Their au jus was also thick with spices so no wonder the italian beef is so delicious here. Somehow their dipped sandwich is perfectly soft and tender. You can literally sit there and breathe this sandwich in to consume it. Staff were very friendly and kind. Loved it here. Teared up seeing Anthony Bourdain’s face too.“
