I’ve had their birria, steak tacos, a burrito, and elote. Not a fan of the chicken tinga taco but I don’t think I generally like tinga. Everything else was pretty good. Their birria pizza item is nice as well.

Service is good. I’m glad I got to have candid conversations with them. They provided me with a couple samples of their other food and I appreciated that.

Overall, I recommend - heading there now.”

“GREAT food, generous portions, and thoughtful details that highlight the dining experience. They have both an adult dining room and another room for families and the decor and music are a great touch. They also provide already cut up portions for the little ones. We don't have kids but they couldn'ts have made it any easier for families to enjoy the dining experience. Bathrooms even have steps/stools for the little ones to wash their hands. No details or thought has been spared to make sure all are welcome and have a superb dining experience. Highly recommend the spicy margarita! Also had the chicken kyiv meatballs, brussel sprouts, and the special (lobster truffle mac and cheese). My wife had the hot salmon that comes with Mike's Hot Honey. I couldn't pick a favorite if I tried. It was all soooo good. Save room for dessert. We had a hard time choosing and ended up splitting the strawberry shortcake (other worldly!). The lemon blueberry bread pudding sounded fantastic too so we're going to be back soon to try that and the rest of the month watering menu. Chef Jamie and her team knocked it out of the park. We will be back very soon!”

Saw the reviews for The Oak and we were so glad we did. The burger I had was the best burger I have ever had, our friend felt the same. My husband and our other friend had the rueben, they loved them also. We left the restaurant and we were going to take individual pics, then this really nice guy offered to take a picture of all of us. He was so very nice. Guess what, he was the owner. We will definitely be back on our next visit here and our friends will be back sooner. Great food!!!!”

I got the Matcha Yuzu Peach Tea with Lychee Jelly which sounded like it had a lot going on, but the flavors pair extremely well together! We also got the Yuma Yogurt with boba and the boba was perfection! The exact texture you’d want in boba. If you’re in town, this is the place to be!”

The owner was very accommodating despite there being a large party before us. After having our food, we made our way to the ice cream station. They had so many flavors!!! From green tea, ube, strawberry cheesecake, Cookie Monster, etc. They even had specialty popsicles that I can only get when I’m in California or Mexico. This place is a gem. I wish I would have gone to this place sooner. My wife and I will definitely be going back!”

“Of all Korean fried chicken franchises, CM is the best, in my opinion, at least in Chicago.
In the future, we may see BHC and Pelicana open in Chicago perhaps, and things could change, but currently out of BB.q and Bonchon, CM delivers.

There are also a few spots that serve korean chicken wings that are not franchise, notably Crisp, 10q chicken, etc. Honesty other places are not worth mentioning as these spots do better.

This version, snow chicken, hands down the best. And as korean style, got half snow, half yangnum, aka spicy garlic.

The price of these chickens is insane, but hey, it's like this everywhere. Can't blame restaurant for that. So if you want to taste what korean fried taste like, this is the spot.”

“I am a Chicago native now living in Colorado. While visiting, I needed to find a place that offered both deep dish pizza for my husband and gluten free pizza for me. This was a great choice. My husband was able to order deep dish by the slice and said it was delicious. My GF pizza was yummy with sausage and onion. I don't know what makes Chicago onions on pizza unique, but they just aren't the same anywhere else. The price was reasonable, and the tables outside in the shade were lovely.”

“I am not Korean, but am widely versed in all East Asian cuisines. A few years ago, the Tribune did a story about how Korean Americans have moved out of "Koreatown" in Mayfair, to the suburbs of Park Ridge, Morton Grove, and Glendview, where, 50 years ago, I sprayed lawns for ChemLawn. I was between sociology careers, but noted that my customers were mostly of Southern and Eastern origin. I got a rice bottle of homemade wine ("you're a good hard working young man,"). So, we visited Korean Spoon right before the pandemic and had a delicious meal. Then they went to carryout, which was too far for us in Crystal Lake. Bottom line: This is a terrific Korean restaurant. kimbop, sundae, and the tteokbokki are delicious. The banchan are fine, and the people are nice. Non-Koreans, of whom I am one, should do some homework before going here. According to the Koreans who have posted here this is legit Korean comfort food, so come and eat. (And carry out! All sorts of pre-made food in the cooler. Raw spicy soft-shell crab, y'all?”
