“I like the feel of the place, but I wish the ramen broth was not so SALTY. I've had a lot of ramen in my life (mostly in LA and Japan), and this is just way too salty. This was true for both the Modern Shoyu and the Goku Tan Tan. Otherwise the place is adorable, service was great, and the Black Manhattan was very tasty.“

“Honestly so glad we finally stumbled into this place. It’s tucked away right by the Thorndale stop and has the best vibe, very low-key, intimate, and has great private booth seating.
The service was great, and the staff made us feel welcome the second we walked in.
As for the food, everything hit the mark. We started with the agedashi tofu, which was beautifully prepared, and followed it up with a beef gyudon bowl and a bento box packed with savory beef and crispy chicken karaage. For dessert, they have a fish-shaped pastry with a pandan leaf custard filling that is a must-try.
It’s easily one of the best spots for Japanese comfort food in Edgewater. We didn't get a chance to try the ramen this time around, but we are absolutely coming back for it.“

Very reasonable prices as well. The most astonishing fact about this restaurant was the host (Quam) his amazing knowledge of food and customer service was unlike any other. The Ice cream desert was mind blowing. You don't have to take my word for it, but I guarantee you, you won't find another Sushi restaurant in the city of Chicago as good this one. The ambiance of this establishment is very warm and pleasant. I highly recommend this place for family gatherings, and with people you want to share a special food feast with. The environment is fun, the food is fresh, affordable, and gives you an opportunity to try many different rolls without spending a ton. The sushi belt includes different colored plates which determine the price, and each have 4-5 pieces on it ranging from $3.30 to $7.30 plates. Additionally there’s All You Can Eat & many menu options. Their fried rice is to die for & amazing deals on pick-up & delivery options. They have a punch card program, as well, which lets you spin the wheel for your fate at a prize, big or small, depending on your loyalty & spin. Can’t imagine leaving here unhappy. It’s always amazing.“

“I dined at Neko Sushi and tried their tuna and avocado fried rolls, and they are the reason I’ve already been back three times in the past two weeks since finding this neighborhood gem. My fiancé ordered the shrimp in a blanket and they were perfectly crispy and packed with flavor. I had the ramen both times and it was absolutely delicious. My fiancé tried the pad thai with shrimp on one visit and the basil shrimp fried rice on another, and both dishes were full of flavor and so satisfying. Neko Sushi has quickly become one of our favorites. Everything we’ve tried has been consistently fresh and tasty. Oh and they are BYOB!“

What a TREAT! these folks have somehow managed to incorporate happiness as an ingredient in their food, so when you eat it, All the happiness particles travel through your body for 24 to 48 hours and you feel extremely satisfied and fulfilled. you might miss the ramen afterwards, and you might end up having dreams about it like I do but trust me, they're pleasant dreams.“

“Been coming to Yatai frequently for about two years now, and every time it meets or exceeds my expectations. Service is quick and the workers are kind and check in on you frequently to make sure you have everything you need. Prices are fair especially for the portions (rice bowls, fried rice, noodle dishes, etc). My personal favorites from the menu are the crab rangoons and the crunchy sweet potato tempura rolls! BYOB and they’ll provide glasses if you need them! Absolutely love this place, cannot recommend it enough.“
