Chicken Wings near Glenview

“I must say, I've eaten at many phenomenal chicken establishments (Harolds, JJs, Sharks, Uncle Remjs, Chicagos Chicken Shack, Fry The Cool, etc.), but this place is truly on another level. We live in Naperville but I saw this place on Instagram and I just had to come here. Wonderful people behind the counter. I got the honey butter chicken sandwich and loaded fries. My girlfiend got the garlic parm boneless wings and fries. We were blown away by the freshness and taste. I already prefer my chicken and fries fried in beef tallow, but the fries here were so crispy and flavorful and you really taste the delicious tallow. The chicken in my sandwich was so crisp and juicy and tender. I was so excited to eat it I burnt my tongue from how hot it was and it was still one of the best meals I've ever had LOL. The loaded fries are out of this world. My girlfends enjoyed her meal too. No driving distance is too far for this place. Well certainly be back.“

“First and foremost, the staff is hands down the best! Literally the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered! And I’ve tried a few things on the menu and nothing has been a let down. Usually I regret straying from “the usual” but I never do here. The crab rangoon is the best I’ve ever had, the wings surprised me with how tasty and well cooked they were, the basil chicken egg rolls were bomb (so is the basil chicken over rice), and the Khao Soi is a best seller for a reason!“

“Food was surprisingly good. Hummus is dusted with tajin or something like that, so it has a little kick and lots of toasted chickpeas which is yummy. The buffalo chicken sliders are seriously outstanding. Service was friendly but a little bit absent at times. Atmosphere is lively. We were there for music bingo on Wednesday night and will definitely be back. It gets loud and hard to hear when it's full.“

“When it comes to hidden gems in The Windy City, Budacki's Drive In can be counted among them. It's practically tucked away in the Ravenswood neighborhood near a school, but quite an awesome find for quintessential Chi-Town staples such as the Italian beef and the red hot.

I have a cousin who grew up within walking distance of Budacki's so it's a huge part of his life story, even after he moved to the suburbs. That said, he tends to take me or my older brother here whenever either one of us come to visit from Texas. It's safe to say that we share his immense love for the nearly 50-year-old hole in the wall.

Up until Thursday, I had two visits. For my most recent one, I ordered the Letter A , or the red hot combo. Aside from a pair of what I believe are the best hot dogs in the world, the meal comes with fresh cut fries and a drink. I confess that I didn't get a good look on the price, but I can assure you that you get your money's worth.

Each of the red hots was made fresh and specific to my request. I wanted them dragged through the garden, and the kitchen staff delivered. What I sunk my teeth into are a Vienna beef decorated with a tomato, sport peppers, a pickle spear, onions and hints of salt and mustard. All of which are held together in a soft bun.

The dogs were paired with a delicious, abundant amount of fries. They were so good that I finished them even before the tube steaks themselves. In Chicago, it's nearly a law to keep your red hots free of ketchup and on your fries, but I ate my long taters without ketchup. That's how tasty they were. Before I forget, I should mention that there's an outdoor dining area for customers to enjoy their food at.

The neighborhood Budacki's is in has gone through several changes, but the restaurant has withstood the test of time. Sadly, however, the heir to the business, Jae Lee, recently passed away. And this review is dedicated to his memory.“

“Nearly every week, I order Lusha’s pizza through a third-party delivery app. The restaurant isn’t close to me, so it’s cold every time I receive it. Cold, it’s still one of my favorite pizzas in Chicago. Wings and curds are awesome as well.“
