“Now one of my favorite restaurants! My friend and I came in for dinner, and everything was amazing! The atmosphere was so inviting and warm, the food was fresh and tasty, the complementary tea was super delicious, and the owner/chef/waitress was so kind and an absolute gem!

I had the beef bento box, and it was hot and fresh and extremely good. There is so much food you get in each of the bentos! My friend had the chicken katsu dinner and it was the best katsu we've ever had.

Absolute recommend to anyone wanting some comforting Japanese food.“

“This place was so cute and the food was amazing! We got the chicken satay, Thai fried chicken, crispy basil pork belly and crab fried rice. My favorite was the crispy basil pork belly! It was incredible and flavorful.

I also appreciated the cute decor. It was very charming inside and felt cozy.“

“Everything was incredible. This was our first time going and it was phenomenal. I ordered the pad Thai with chicken and it was amazing, I tried some pad see ew, also phenomenal. The larb Kai was great, the service was on top of it and so friendly. The food was fast, inexpensive and delicious. Could not ask for more from a restaurant.
A bit of a small space, but very accommodating; I was in a party of five including a wheelchair user and they were tremendously helpful.

“Came in here on my lunch break and the server was very nice and attentive. The Thai iced tea I got was some of the best I’ve ever had, and the seafood soup I got was delicious. The prices were also good given the portion sizes. If I’m ever back in this part of the city I’m definitely returning here again“

“We really enjoyed NoodleBird. Creative menu offerings. My partner really enjoyed the Wok Seared Pork Noodles. The texture of the rolled noodles was divine! My mistake for ordering one of the specials they had that day - Polish sausage with rice (not pictured) simply had too many flavors going on. Next time I’ll try one of their regular menu dishes. The egg tarts for dessert were simply delicious and I could eat an entire meal of just those!

“I was in the neighborhood and made it just in time for their lunch special, between 11-1pm. I had the cashew chicken with a spring roll to start, and a Thai Ice tea. The server asked how spicy I wanted it and gave a choice between 1-5, I chose 4, but when it came out they had forgotten to add it, so he quickly took it back to add it. It was a chopped up Thai chili and the dish was delicious and fresh tasting. Can't wait to go back and try a different dish.“

“The menu is small but if you are not familiar with Taiwanese flavor profiles (nobody at our table was), it could be difficult to decide what to try. Fortunately the staff is wonderful and patient and very helpful. We had a terrific server, Max, who was very fun and gave us a lot of information then made recommendations that were spot-on. We really enjoyed our meal and the whole dining experience, and will certainly come back to try other dishes.“

“I've been going here for years and this place never disappoints. The food is always on point. It's hard for me to find sweet potato tempura but look no further. The flakey crab ragoon tops any other. It's ruined crab ragoon for me anywhere else. The chicken pad thai is delicious and when adding their hot sauce, it's perfect! So many varieties of rolls, you'll definitely find a favorite. Their presentation is always so eye pleasing. If it's your birthday, they have the cutest and delicious mochi ice cream. The staff is always so kind, attentive, and service with a big smile. This is a place I like to show off to other people and It's always a positive feedback.“

“Stumbled upon to Claypot by happenstance with my fiancée a couple years ago and have been going back since! I thought I wrote a review already but better late than never. This is by far one of our FAVORITE lunch/dinner spots to go to. The food is so flavorful, healthy, and abundant. The service is very attentive. There are some days where it may be slower because they are busy, but it’s a small location with only a few servers so give them grace if that’s happens with you. I brought a party of 12 one time which took basically a quarter of their restaurant on a busy night. Anyway, I’ve brought a majority of my family members here and they all love it!! You not only leave full and happy, but you feel energized rather than groggy/lethargic like other places. Will not stop going to, bringing people to, and recommending this spot ever. Wishing lots of prosperity and business to them.“

“The restaurant is cool and comfortable on a very hot and humid day. The restaurant looks good and smells good. Came to do laundry next door and found this by luck. I have lived on the other side of the world and I have been to Thailand multiple times. This food is excellent. We had teriyaki chicken and tom yum. The nice lady explained it was one of her first days while the owner is in Thailand on vacation. Hopefully they see this and know their restaurant is in good hands!“

“Over 20 years ago I started eating at their original Lincoln Park location. Today, their delicious food keeps me coming back time after time. It helps that the restaurant is staffed by the nicest people in the world. When I call for pickup they know my order (lad nar with chicken and Japanese gyoza) and they have it ready in ten minutes. Ten minutes!“

It was actually spicy. Needs just a little something idk. Maybe cardamom.

“With lots of traveling we have not found anything like our favorites from Joys. First tried it in ‘96 (yes 19-96) and our favorites still just as good. We were in town for work and made sure we stopped by.“

“I wanted to give this location props for their lunch on 8/17. Walking in around 1pm, I could tell they had had their butts handed to them and were obviously understaffed. However, in my perspective they were handling the hangry customers very well, were staying calm and the staff that was present seemed to know what they were doing. The only reason for 4 stars is because and (this has happened more than once at this location) rather than suggesting I try my Pesto Cavatappi with pork, they tell me it comes with pork, which is not true. There is an additional charge for any meat on this bowl.“

This Vietnamese restaurant offers Japanese dishes too. We always enjoy their wide varieties of food; the servers are always friendly and food served just on time. The quality and the quantity of the food was always reasonable to the price.

I highly recommend trying their sweet potato tempura, egg roll and bbq pork spring rolls.
Their smoothies are delicious too and I believe they use real fruits.“

“Originally came in for sushi but decided to try the ramen, without a doubt a great decision. Wife and I both finished our ramen bowls and full of flavor and absolutely filling maybe a bit too much onion but not overpowering. Staff is friendly and attentive. Gets quite full quickly but overall great food and experience“

The Makunouchi (Unagi) is easily among the most outstanding I've ever eaten, maybe even the best. Such a delightful presentation and true to the traditional bento & Ekiben forms, where you discover hidden items as you eat & each side dish feels fresher & more delicious than the last. Feels like a very generously-portioned (in case you're doubting the price tag) home cooked meal prepared and packed by someone with a rare amount of intention & care for not just how the food will taste, but how well it will travel. You can feel the that the chef wants your meal to be a joyful experience filled with little surprises. Truly a new favorite meal of mine in the city that I plan to order again and again.“

I ordered a meal with spring rolls as an appetizer. they came with my meal, not before. my son ordered a chicken and rice meal, took a bitr and hated it. they refused to take it off my bill. 88$ for a meal for my sonnamd I and he didn't eat his meal. didn't offer another meal or anything. other restaurants would have made it right. theives. my left overs leaked through my bag going home. nor happy. we also felt obligated to tip even though server was rude and dint know about the 20% charge that's automatically charged“
