What a wonderful, absolutely delicious dinner we enjoyed at this small Vietnamese restaurant with a mighty cook in the kitchen. The extra special treat was when the owner, Sydney visited our table and shared beauty of her homemade desserts. And walked us through every single one that she made. And topped it all off with an amazing dark Vietnamese coffee egg custard, that tasted like a rich liquid tiramisu.
We're from Dallas. We just happened to stop in here for dinner last June, and I had the most delicious steak I think I ever had, served in a hot cast iron plate with the most delicious spices! My husband had the steak pho, and his meal was very good, too. We were almost the only people in there, and they were so nice to us. If we ever go back to Chicago, we're definitely going back to DaNang Kitchen!

I enjoyed a late lunch with Hen Banh Da (Clam Salad) and Mi Quang. Clam salad was everything I imagined it to be and mi quang was underwhelming — lacked flavor and yellow rice noodles were overcooked; I had to add more fish sauce for flavor.Attentive service. I will try this place again and order other offerings.
