The textural contrast between the shatteringly crispy wonton sheet and the soft, chewy crepe was downright addictive. Every bite was flavorful: smoky, savory, slightly sweet, a little spicy, and wildly satisfying. It's the comfort of street food in one messy, glorious handful.“

“This was our first time trying this place! Lamb wrap was superb! So moist and fabulous! Ground kabob was also tasty and a quart of lentil soup actually had pieces of vegetables, which was great! It's on the pricier side than your average middle eastern takeout place, but the food does not taste like your average middle eastern place either.. sooo much better! We also requested some modifications, which they actually did, so that was also pleasant. Girl on the phone was knowledgeable and immediately knew what awesome item to substitute for when they were out of one thing that we ordered. Highly recommend!“

The banana coconut smoothie was one of the best I've had at a restaurant.

“Dengeo’s is the BEST!! We had them cater our huge party and they absolutely crushed it. Every single dish was incredible and bursting with flavor — the Italian Beef was the star of the night, but truly everything was demolished. Our guests were raving about the food nonstop. Huge shoutout to Chris, Nick, and Jerry for getting us perfectly set up and making everything seamless. This was our third year having Dengeo’s cater our party, and we’re already looking forward to many more!“

“Absolutely amazing!!!! The very best kosher restaurant I’ve ever been to! Kosher fine dining at its finest! My husband and I agree it was the best meal we’ve ever had. He had the surprise steak which was phenomenal! I had the short ribs which were perfection! We enjoyed soups, appetizers, sushi, the works. Just when we thought we were full to the brim and could not squeeze one more but in, I couldn’t resist the dessert menu. Somehow we practically managed to lick the plate of peanut butter mousse clean! It was the most wonderful evening! The ambience is wonderful! The service is superior to any other place I’ve been to. “Very good for quick quality service. The portions are extremely abundant, you definitely won’t be hungry. I like how they specify on their menu which type of oil that is used. The gyros meat tends to be a bit too salty, but this is probably how it just is.“

“Well worth it! I cook steaks regularly but I very much enjoyed the quality of the steaks here.

You get a complimentary side of warm, fresh-baked brown bread while you order, and the food comes out quickly and piping hot. The outlaw ribeye is definitely their best item, it comes out as this huge bone-in steak that seems almost bigger than their advertised 24oz. size. It has a great crust with visible grill marks and a rich smoky flavor from the char-grilling.

The sides were also great, with a simple but satisfying Caesar salad with a flavorful dressing and crisp lettuce, and a premium side of brussel sprouts roasted and tossed in a sweet and savory honey glaze. They complimented the steak nicely and rounded things out.

The bill at the end is a bit high, but I felt that it was definitely well worth it considering the variety of food items and their outstanding quality. The steak was cooked perfectly and had a great flavor and texture and the sides were fresh and flavorful, certainly more work than I'm willing to do at home even if I considered the potential price savings versus eating out.“

“We were so disappointed today as we've been coming here for years and the food has always been excellent. Today we ordered the Szechuan shrimp and chicken and broccoli lunches. The chicken felt slimy and didn't taste good just like the vegetables. The shrimp lunch was not good either. Both lunches had a weird taste which we believe was due to freezing and reheating which explains why the rice wasn't really good either. The food has always been hot when we get it but today it was just warm. We are unable to finish these lunches. We're hoping that today was just a bad day.“

“Delicious pho, my daughter is a huge pho fan and she loved it. The gyoza and fresh tasting veggie shrimp rolls in rice paper with peanut sauce on the side were equally as good.

The Kung pao chicken was better than any I’ve had at the surrounding Chinese restaurants in the Skokie/Morton Grove/Glenview area. HUGE portions. Extremely reasonable prices. Kenny the owner is an incredibly nice and inviting person.“
