“In town for business, went to The Capital Grille for a steak dinner. It was, oh, so much more! Ordered a cesar salad, new York steak, bone out. And the asparagus. The Cesar salad was delicious, with generous portions of shaved parmesean cheese. My steak ordered as medium rare, was absolutely perfect. The asparagus grilled with lemon wedge was a perfect complement. The dinner was perfect! I also ordered a Merlot wine by the glass, which was recommended by Blake, my server, who was excellent! She was so attentive and friendly! Almost all the wait staff stopped to ask if everything was okay and asked if I needed anything! The manager. Adam, also stopped and asked if everything was okay. The evening was perfect! I only wish my visit to Chicago was a more personal, elegant visit because this is where I would want to be! One of the worst bedside manners I have ever seen from someone in the restaurant industry. He had a scowl on his face all night as he was walking around like a peacock. As my wife I were walking right past him on our way out, he wasn't going to say a word to us until I said, "Take care". We dined outside on the patio underneath the heat lamp and lights. The Barn was the perfect atmosphere for our relaxing evening together. Came on a Saturday afternoon around 3pm and it wasn't busy, so there was no wait to be seated. Ordered the wings (hot) with blue cheese dressing and a house salad. The wings that I received weren't the hot ones as ordered and they gave me their ranch dressing that comes standard with the wings. I kept the order they sent me and was satisfied. Other than the mishap in attention to detail in my order the food was good, and so was the service.“
