“This place is hands down the best restaurant in the city. The food is unreal good I mean like go out for milk and never come back good. The head partner chef Joe Rizza is a Jedi in the kitchen and an absolute class act. He always makes time to come say hi when we stop in. Main reason why I like going. “We celebrated our 30th Anniversary here and it did not disappoint! Lobster cargot could’ve been a meal by itself!! The filet mignon was cooked perfectly. Teriyaki green beans were also a favorite of ours along with the Mac n cheese. You have w to get dessert! We had the chocolate ganache cake and strawberry sundae. Jeff our server was amazing ! The view couldn’t have been better.“

“Butcher & the Bear is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels welcoming, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. It strikes the perfect balance between elevated and comfortable.
The food is outstanding. Every dish is beautifully presented and full of flavor, clearly made with care and high quality ingredients. You can tell a lot of intention goes into the menu, and it truly shows. The cocktails are just as impressive and are creative, well balanced, and memorable.
What really sets this place apart is the service. The staff is knowledgeable, attentive, and warm without ever feeling overbearing. They make you feel genuinely taken care of and excited to be there.
Whether you are going for a date night or a relaxed dinner with friends, Butcher and the Bear delivers on every level. Easily one of my favorite spots in Chicago and I will absolutely be back.“

“This is one of my favorite places ever, for a succulent , mouthwatering , epic , divine , romantic , dining experience suitable for everyday or very special events . “Here for my daughter’s birthday! It was a great experience. My daughter was happy when host aside happy birthday to her and also has her name on the menu for happy birthday. The environment for sure is dark. I think it is way too dark for my liking, but also underrated it is personal preference. We ordered a rib eye and it was super delicious. Overall great experience. One last point I would say, we ordered dessert, but server never put a candle for it. But the table next to us got a candle. So my daughter was a little disappointed. But overall still a great experience!“

“We had the repast for my father's funeral at the Firehouse Restaurant in their Palmer Parlor. The O'Malley's and their Event Manager Carolyn Orlando couldn't have created a better environment for us to celebrate my dad's life. Their staff made it feel like they were serving their own family. The food was great, the drinks flowed and everything went off as the team promised.“

“We came in for a drink and ended up getting food while sitting at the bar. The food and service were so good. We had the lamb empanadas which is not in the pictures. The sauce that it comes with is amazing. Then we had the hawaiian rolls that comes with tatemada and epazote butter, Picanha Prime Rib with chimi churri sauce, mashed potatoes and asparagus. It was so good that we ate all of the food. Nothing was left when they took the plates lol!! We will be back.“

“We had dinner here recently and it was honestly one of the best steaks I’ve had. I ordered the filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly and super tender. They serve it on a 500° plate which actually keeps it hot the whole time, which I loved.
The atmosphere is really nice without feeling stuffy, and the service was great — attentive but not hovering. Everything from the drinks to the sides was solid. Definitely worth it for a special night or if you just want a really good steak in Chicago. Would go back for sure.“

“Beautiful Birthday dinner here in one of the cabanas. Liked the privacy and obscuridad the cabanas and low lights gave. Flavors of soup , scallops, and rib eye were great. Definitely recommend for a date night or girls night 😍“

“Where do I start… service 100 percent professional and helpful, knowledgeable about wine pairings, food was the best from start to finish. Me and my wife go to a steakhouse in every city we visit and let me tell you it’s hard to nail all aspects of dining,apps, mains, dessert, and wine, but RPM blew me away! This is my #1 steakhouse I have visited in the world…I have been to 30 plus states, 15 countries and nothing has come close to this experience.“

“We were looking for a new restaurant to try. A neighbor of ours highly recommended this place and raved about the steaks and mussels. We had 6 pm reservations and were seated promptly. It was crowded and loud with background music. We asked for the volume to be turned down which they did. The wine and craft cocktail list is broad and extensive. I wanted to try their mule with Icelandic Vodka but the Tom our waiter strongly recommended a new addition of wine which was a malbec. It was a wonderful recommendation. Tom recommended a chardonnay for my wife and a cabernet sauvignon for our friends; everyone enjoyed their wine. Tom was spot on with his recommendations. The service was attentive, friendly and helpful. Tom stopped by several times during our meal, checking in, did we need anything, how was our meal, another drink etc... My friend had the mussels, and his wife ordered a salad and crab cakes; which they couldn’t finish. They brought home leftovers and they thoroughly enjoyed their dishes. My wife had a filet while I had the New York strip; both of our dishes were delicious and yummy. We had leftovers as well. The portions here are huge. Bring an appetite. I had the baked horseradish crust; it had no taste and it was burnt. The kitchen was busy and it was difficult to get our table of food out together with a crust. Despite this the meal was worth it. We did not feeled rushed and we were able to freely talk. Tom offered drinks and desserts after dinner, but we were full, but their coffee and espresso were spot on. We found our new restaurant; it is a must-see and a must-try. We will return.“

“A good friend of mine came to Chicago this past weekend, and we celebrated her daughter, who is graduating from college this spring. The three of us went to dinner at Tavern on Rush Saturday night and it was fantastic. I advised the restaurant of the occasion ahead of time, and they executed beyond my expectations. They were certain to focus on the guest of honor without being obnoxious. The sommelier, Amy, provided excellent recommendations for us throughout dinner. Our steaks were cooked exquisitely to temperature, and our lite dessert was just what we needed. Truly a memorable experience.“

“Tried this place for the first time with a couple of my friends! And My God it was so Good! I ordered a New York Strip, medium, and we all ordered sides to share we ordered mac and cheese, asparagus, and another potato side with crispy cheese on top! My steak came out exactly how I wanted it and it was beautifully charred and so tasty! I can’t wait to come back with my husband and family!! The service was amazing the waiters were so friendly.“

“We ate lunch at Michael Jordan’s Steak House in Chicago today. We were greeted with a warm welcome and the hostess helped us with our parking situation. Our server was friendly and quick. Our food was delicious! After our meal the valet parking department went out of their way to help us and we were so appreciative. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend eating here!“

From the moment we sat down, the service set the tone. Aldo, our waiter, struck that perfect balance of polished and genuinely warm. He guided us through the menu with thoughtful recommendations beyond the basics, checked in at just the right moments, and made the whole experience feel effortless without ever being overbearing.
The space itself feels elevated but not stuffy, which is exactly what you want for a power lunch or a long, lingering catch-up. Everything we ordered felt intentional and well executed. The quality is there, the presentation is there, and most importantly, the flavors hold up.
It’s the kind of place where lunch turns into “should we stay for another round?” and suddenly your afternoon looks a lot better than it did before you walked in.

“Came for Chicago Restaurant Week. For the first course, my partner and I ordered the prosciutto and ricotta, which was an excellent appetizer and quite big for one person. In the second course, we ordered the chicken souvlaki and the seafood pasta. The chicken souvlaki was quite bland, but the sides added more flavor. The seafood pasta was fine, but the prawn heads were empty. For the third course, we had the Basque cheesecake and the sorbet trio, both of which were wonderful in terms of flavor and size. The ambience was nice, though the seating was a bit cozy for our taste; it felt as though we were eavesdropping on other people's conversation. Overall, we enjoyed the appetizer and dessert, and were unimpressed with the main course.“

“came for chicago restaurant week at lunch; the menu was the same as their usual lunch offering (3 courses for $35). I had the steak sandwich, which was good but fairly large pieces for a sandwich making it hard to chew. my group also had the fish entrée, which neither enjoyed very much. the sandwich came with potato wedges and the fish came with no sides, just a single filet of fish. the carrot cake dessert was VERY good.
the server was nice but we did have to flag them down a couple times trying to get the check to leave for work meetings after 1.5 hours, as this was weekday lunch.“

“Chicago Restaurant Week is coming to an end, so I chose this place to start my weekend. My first time visiting BLVD Steakhouse. The aesthetic is on point, with plenty of picture opportunities. Keep in mind there is a no-flash policy. I wasn’t in the mood for alcohol, so I chose the Golden Glow, from the spirit-free section. It was so good, I ordered two. I ordered strictly from the Restaurant Week menu. My first course was the wedge salad, which was good. For my second course, I chose the upgrade and went with the 8oz filet and 50/50 mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were an 11/10, superb!!!! Now for the steak, I asked for medium-
well cooked. It was more medium. I didn’t care for the char on the outside. Finally, for dessert, the only option offered is the Snickerdoodle cheesecake, topped with pear and honey. I’m not a fan of pear, but the cheesecake was good.“
