“Came here on a Sunday afternoon.
From the hostess to the waitress, everyone was friendly. We ordered steak and potato, and both were absolutely delicious. The steak was cooked to our liking, and the baked potato was big and good. What caught our eye was the old Mason Jars used for beverages, large and classic. It was definitely an enjoyable experience.“

“Hostess was RUDE and very UNORGANIZED!
If I didn't like the food so much, I would have walked right out.
I walked into the Longhorn restaurant in Merriville, IN, and the hostess (an older woman, wearing a black & green blouse
on 11/9/24 at approximately 1 pm in the afternoon) was as RUDE as a person could be.
The restaurant was very busy and she seemed to be disturbed by this. She kept trying to detour people by telling them that wait times were longer than they actually were. When she noticed I wasn't going to leave, she told me and my guest to just have a seat. She didn't take my name down, so I asked if she was going to. So, at this point, she asked for my name but did not type or write anything down.
I didn't push the issue because it was clear she was having a bad day.
However, I did monitor the order in which people were arriving because I noticed that this hostess was not.
When a table opened up, she would call people out of order and customers had to tell her who was next.
My goodness!
Once we got past this debacle, things ran much more smoothly in terms of the server and cooks.
Parking: I noticed that there were many take out spots in front of the restaurant that were not utilized. This area, in my opinion, should be dedicated to seniors and disabled persons.
The restaurant may not realize this, but there are many disabled people that come to eat there, so it only makes sense. Designating just four or five spots on the side of the restaurant away from the entrance is not very accommodating to senior citizens or disabled persons.“

“We have Been at Theo’s at least 20 times in the last 3 years. The first time was the best and last night was the last. Food was a lot better 3 years ago. The staff seemed like they cared about you buying the right or the best value, Last night we were ripped off. David was our server. Telling how great the specials were with out telling us the price. My wife wanted seafood not steak. So we ordered her the seafood crab legs, lobster tail and shrimp. Crab legs tasted like they were frozen for a long time, the lobster was Tuff. Shrimp was good in garlic butter. I had a steak. With mushrooms. Do your self a favor ask what the price for any specials . DON’T BUY ANYTHING WITHOUT KNOWING THE PRICE. SeaFood Special $175.66 Who the hell charges this for a pound of crab legs and a lobster tail? Never again! Buyer beware!“

“On a recent trip to Chicago from Canada, my friends and I decided to cross the border into Indiana, just to check it off our list since it was so close. We stopped at the Hard Rock Casino, and I won the rock-paper-scissors game to pick the restaurant. I chose Council Oak Steaks and Seafood and wasn’t disappointed.
I ordered the Tuna Tataki and a half-dozen oysters. Coming from Vancouver, where we have incredible seafood, I was impressed—the tuna and oysters were just as good as anything I’ve had back home. Council Oak gets my recommendation!“

“The Crown Point location is great. I prefer their food over any of their other locations. Not sure if it's because it's the newest site to open but I hope that the quality of the food and service does not change. A solid 4 stars!“

“Me and my family went out to this stark house and my dad's steak was wrong and my brother didn't get all of his meal and the servers passed our table without asking if we need anything 3 times then the manager had to come over 2 to our table to make sure we needed anything else“

“The bread is always delish! Ordered the roasted chicken and steak with sweet potato. The onion blossom was not that great. The inner part of it was not fully cooked. Portions are nice, food is ok. I do enjoy the chicken, which is moist and cooked just right. Service is always pleasant. Staff are friendly.“

“We had a party of 20 at 2pm yesterday at Gino’s and we received AMAZING service! The waiters were very attentive, patient, and thorough! The management staff were amazing and very accommodating as well! The food was also amazing! Everything came out on time, everything was cooked to perfection, and everyone’s order came out correctly! We will definitely be back! Kudos to all the staff!!!!“
