I’ve been all over Chicagoland’s restaurants, high and low end. When it comes to restaurants, I am a sucker for experience and ambiance as much as I am a sucker for delicious food. At Roka Akor, you get both.

Roka Akor serves very good food that is fairly priced. The atmosphere is sophisticated, modern, and beautiful. The sushi is delicate, fresh, and perfect size pieces. The edamame is perfect and the spicy sauce for it tastes incredible. The Dynamite Scallop-crab roll and beef tataki are favorites. The crispy rice with spicy tuna and Korean-spiced lamb cutlets are must-try dishes. The desserts are melt-in-your-mouth amazing, with the chocolate lava cake being a 15/10. The cream brûlée is out of this world. The service is great, with very helpful and efficient staff. The bartenders are a model of efficiency. The open grill is really cool to watch. Roka Akor is a great place to visit, with excellent food and a lively atmosphere that is not too loud. The decor is beautiful, making it a perfect spot for special occasions like Anniversary/Birthday Celebrations.
