Hello, I came across your blog.The staff were friendly and although their English was limited, they explained things well and I enjoyed my meal. I asked for takeout, and they said of course they would, and it was a meaningful experience with my first steak in America.
As a top rated streak house in Chicago I thought it was .... pleasant. Gibsons was not, however, anything close to being in an exceptional steak house league.All the appetizers, side dishes, and salads were good. Crab cakes, very good, they even made us a special off the menu affogato after dinner, but I must admit, the steaks were just.. Phenomenal steakhouse meat was like butter .Service was five star atmosphere was like a neighborhood bar ? happy place great location if you go to Chicago and you don't go to Gibsons you wasted a trip.
